Impressive looking hotel in a lovely setting. The room was a little dated but comfortable and clean. The shower was very old fashioned and very slow and lacked power. Good for families and people who like activities plenty of aerobics! However for a romantic break would be better to go to this hotel off peak times due to the number of children. Very busy hotel and meal times were often chaotic.
The best thing about my stay was...Beautiful setting and well maintained grounds. The second pool area was a lot quieter and had a lovely grill restaurant and outside bar.The staff were very friendly.

Lovely hotel with great beach & pool areas BUT - Use of animals as 'entertainment' is a disgrace!!
A group of us visited slightly out of season and, although this resort is suitable for families with children, when the kiddies are at school it is perfect for adults with very few babies/youngsters. Rooms are good and well equipped, all having balconies (although some bigger than others. Avoid AA and AB rooms as these are separated from the other areas and are budget/standard rooms. Ground floor rooms are larger. Two main pools (one quiet) which are lovely. Plenty of sunbeds in the pool and garden areas, so there is no need to get up early to reserve them. All inclusive food doesn't vary much, so after a few days you get a bit sick of the same old stuff. They do have one Portuguese night which makes up for this however. No fresh juices and cheeses are tasteless - disappointing. Hotel location is a bit out of the way of anywhere. Courtesy buses run daily though, alternating daily for nearby Vilamoura Marina and Albufeira town. Taxis are VERY expensive!!!! Located on a cliff top, the access to the beach isn't bad (down a few wooden stairs). Worth it too, as walking along the beach is a must! There are a few lovely beach tavernas along the way to the left (as you face the sea) and it only takes 20-30 minutes to reach the marina in Vilamoura (good for boat trips etc). You can't walk along the beach to get to Albufeira town, but you can along the cliff top or use the hotel's courtesy bus. Would we return? Well, apart from wishing the hotel was a little nearer some shops/tavernas, a lot of the time the hotel entertainment consists of parading live animals (owls, snakes, reptiles, etc in front of us all night for guests to manhandle and have photographs taken with - this is not our thing and very cruel. So no, we shall not be returning!
The best thing about my stay was...Both pool areas (main pool especially)

Really Good Customer Service, Very Nice Resort, Good Amenities
Bill Smith, Southend-on-Sea, Essex
We would like to thank the Manager, Mr Julio Reis and his staff for the excellent customer service we received during our stay in May 2016. We went to the Adriana Beech Club last year and had a really good time. This year, we made a mistake by booking a Basic Room instead of a Superior Room. All rooms were fully booked, but Mr Reis managed to find us a Superior Room very close to all amenities, in spite of the problems this gave him. He even left a bottle of champagne and a personal note in our room saying that he he hoped we enjoyed our stay and if there was anything else that could be done, to let him know. Due to the bad weather, our holiday would have been spoiled if Mr Reis hadn't done his best to remedy our situation. The Adriana Beach Club has been extensively refurbished with a re-designed restaurant, better facilities, better choice of well prepared food and WiFi in the central area. In summary - excellent customer service, much improved facilities. A very enjoyable holiday with a beach which is second to none. Thank you Mr Reis and thank you AlphaRooms, Bill & Paula Smith
The best thing about my stay was...Excellent customer service, extensive amenities and good food.

Superb facilities, great family resort.
Mark, Northern Ireland
Just got back from 11 nights at the Adriana. Can think of nothing worse than staying in a high rise building with a pool that's clearly an afterthought - and thankfully the Adriana does not disappoint. Numerous pools, beach, tennis pitches, kids clubs, good entertainment, different eating options and free shuttle services. If you are looking a family holiday were the kids (mine are 5 and 7) can experience a sense of freedom and make friends, play and enjoy themselves in a secure environment then this is the place for you. I rarely go to the same place twice (big world out there!) but will seriously be considering a return.
The best thing about my stay was...Pool, beach and grounds.

We are just home after a week at this hotel. We had a lovely stay here. We stayed in block X which was lovely- near the quite area of the resort which suited us with a 7 and 3 year old. We could take or leave the lively pool. We mostly ate in the grill as it wasnt as busy as the main restaurant and kids were able to get up and down as they pleased to get more food. The only downside about the resort is the wifi. To get wifi you have to go to reception area and you have to pay for it. For this day in age there should be FREE wifi for all in the full resort. I havent been anywhere in years that this isnt part of the service...Lots of French, German etc in the resort, was hard to find another Irish family but we met another English couple with kids that we sat with most evenings... We had a lovely week and I would recommend it.
The best thing about my stay was...Quite pool area and lovely scenic areas around the resort...

resort was nice, poor entertainment and miles from anywhere
The best thing about my stay was...weather

Mr Brain, Bedfordshire
Excellent hotel with great food. All staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Check-in was easy, but procedure for collecting pool towels is strange and should be handled at check-in. Tea and coffee making facility in rooms and free wi-fi would have made it perfect. In spite of these minor niggles, we would definitely return here. f an early morning cuppa is a priority, bring a travel kettle.
The best thing about my stay was...The two separate areas, each with a pool, bar restaurant etc. one lively, the other quieter and more relaxed.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, the grounds and rooms are clean and tidy. The food was plentiful and a wide variety throughout the day. The beach is stunning and stretches far and wide and you can walk into the town about 45 minutes along the beach. Would love to stay at this resort again soon.
The best thing about my stay was...The location and grounds

Nice remote hotel but nothing much to do
William Cheung, London, UK
It was lucky that my wife and I only stayed for 5 days as there wasn't much you can do in the hotel. Since the location was quite remote, apart from swimming in the pools or at sea, the nearest towns were 20-30 minutes coach journey away and there were only 2 nearest towns that the hotel coach could take you to, unless you go to the fee paying excursions of course. Evening entertainments were virtually non existent. Sound insulation in hotel rooms was poor. Your peace and quiet are at the mercy of the tenant living above you. Restaurant foods were quite mundane and literally same for the days we stayed.
The best thing about my stay was...The beach was just 5 minutes walk from my room and was quite private.

Overall a great stay
We spent 8 nights at the Adriana with our 17 month old daughter. Overall the hotel was great with just a few niggles.. The hotel is close to a lovely beach although there are a lot of steps on the way down! The majority of staff were very friendly and tried to cheer up/distract our little girl when she was upset. The hotel grounds were very well maintained and the pools were a good size although a little cold. We didn't join in many of the activities but there did seem to be a reasonable choice of entertainment - the Aquagym was good fun. Our room (block AB) was a little bit too far away from the main resort and meant either carrying the pushchair up quite a few steps or walking along the road to reception - not ideal, would recommend those with little ones request not to stay in this block or block AA. The room was very clean although a little basic and we didn't have much of a balcony. The food was best at the Grill restaurant. The main restaurant was OK but not a great deal of variety for 8 days. We hired a car during our stay and there were no problems in parking securely.
The best thing about my stay was...The staff and grounds

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and i am booked to go again in august. This is a very clean well kept resort. There are always a few negatives in a resort this large but nothing that would spoil a holiday in my view. Food is varied and plentiful, and available throughout the day. 2 pools with plenty of sunbeds.
The best thing about my stay was...total relax

Not suitable for 2 year old
Susan Elliot, Edgware
There was plenty to do at the hotel for people aged 4+ when the weather was good. However, the swimming pools were freezing and when it was raining we were all cooped up in the lounge with nothing much to do. It was very noisy at times with nowhere to sit quietly to read a book. There was absolutely nothing for our 2 year old to do if not swimming and we couldn't understand why the hotel did not at least supply an area with soft play and some toys. Our accommodation was a long way from the main hotel especially with a 2 year old. We used the shuttle bus into town and were upset to find the driver extremely lazy and unhelpful preferring to watch us struggling to open the side compartment and put the push chair on board. A second time we travelled he tutted at us and waved us angrily onto the bus with the push chair and watched us struggle again. The evening entertainment was pretty awful. The food was of a reasonable quality but not enough variety if staying for more than a few days. The fruit juice was cheap and nasty and the tea and coffee machines were not hot enough.
The best thing about my stay was...Hotel staff were very friendly

Great relaxing time
Happy Customer, Northamptonshire
Great place to stay. Good for families and grouples. Although a very large complex so would be very busy in peak season. Very clean. Food good. Would definately go to the Adriana Beach Club again.

This is a great hotel for everyone! We went as a group, 12 adults and 2 children and had a fantastic week! The staff are unbelievabley friendly and helpful (except Carlo the bar Manager) and we absolutely loved Bruno! There are loads of sunbeds and 2 different pools. There are 3 restaurants, although the food is basically the same, but the smaller one is a bit more intimate. Overall, a great week!
The best thing about my stay was...The staff and cleaniness of the rooms!

Good holiday at Adriana Beach Hotel
Ian Smith, Egremont
Stayed 1st week in April 2012. Very Friendly and helpful staff. Service at Bar, Reception etc very good. All inclusive was good although bar shut at 11pm! The superior room was ok and cleaned every day although not a double room as requested. Complex is pleasant and pool nice. Only downside was that the food was cool sometimes but there is a microwave. Location a bit out of town so car useful. Liked the beach access so close. Entertainment although they tried very hard could be improved by external singers etc. Would definetely go back.
The best thing about my stay was...The Staff.

Easter Weekend Treat
Kerry, Blackheath, London
We arrived at the hotel at 9.30pm and the receptionist said check in could wait as the restaurant was closing at 10pm and we should go and eat! Porter promtly took our bags for us and escorted us to the restaurant. Brilliant service on reception! We were allocated a room on AA block which was across the road from the main part of the hotel, after putting our bags in the room I headed back to reception to see if I could upgrade to a more central room as I was travelling on my own with my 6 year old daughter, I couldn't do it there and then but they left a note for the manager and first thing we were moved to a superior room. Nothing was a problem for any of the staff, all very helpful. Food was standard buffet and we were only there for 4 days so plenty of choice for that duration! As we went early April not all of the restaurants and bars were open but we never had to wait for be served or queue at the buffet. Kids Club was open which is practically unheard of this early in the year. My daughter was eager to go and went every morning for 2 hours. Kids Club staff were fab and my little girl was really sad to leave them and wants to go back asap! Prira Beach was a little walk down the path on the hotel ground then down about 97 steps but well worth it, gorgeous cliffs and beach. Would def go back but maybe for a week next time.
