Great Hotel

This is a great hotel, very modern, clear and staff are very friendly. The breakfast was great to start the next day with. We stayed here with friends when going to the Playhouse, It cost us £12 each way in a taxi which is a bit OTT! We would have been able to get the bus if we were able to check in before 2pm. Its a bit late considering you are punted out the next day at 11am!

Excellent Hotel

Stayed at this hotel with friends while our wives done a sponsored walk (Moonwalk) in Edinburgh. Ideal location for travelling into Edinburgh, pub and place to eat within walking distance. Rooms were lovely, no complaints. Breakfast was ideal. would definately go back.

Agenda review

Stayed in this hotel with 5 friends for the rugby weekend on March 14th. We couldnt have been happier. The staff could not have been nicer. Rooms were a little small but all the things we needed were there. Located on the Corstorphine Road which is the main thoroughfare to the city so access was a dawdle. Bar is well equipped with fine food served all day. All six of us agree that we were very pleased with our stay and look forward to staying here again. Thanks Agenda!!!

Nice little hotel

Value for money-excellent, we paid £58 for 2 nights midweek for a double room. Room lighting was a bit gloomy really and double glazing didn't really drown out the traffic noise at all. Dark furniture really sucked the light out of the room too. No shaver point in bathroom too, at least in our room so beware! Lounge and dining area really nice, meals were lovely and decently priced. Breakfast was filling and nice too. Value for money - Excellent

a real find

We booked the Agenda' as a last minute cheap break. The hotel came up with a good B&b price, on the internet. Reviews seemed good also. The hotel was easy to find off the bypass, it had ample free parking a bonus in Edinburgh. The hotel is 2 miles from the city centre, however the buses stop outside the hotel every few minutes. It's 10 minutes and £1.10 to princess street. The hotel was above expectations, comfortable and modern lounge and dining areas. Our room was warm, clean, well proportioned and appealing. The hearty breakfasts were cooked to order and were excellent. Although not part of our original plans, we also had dinner in the hotel on two occassions. The dinner menu was not extensive, however the food was great.

Great Hotel

Stayed at this hotel from the 8th to the 10th of August this year, just back! Found the hotel to be a great place, the only downside was our bathroom. The paint was peeling off the ceiling, and the shower was broken, so we had to hold the hose to be able to shower ourselves. The door handles were also broken on the bathroom door. Step out from the bathroom though....and its a wonderful hotel. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and cleaned daily. The staff were great in the hotel, we even decided to eat there on our second night and the food was lovely. We drank in the bar where there was a great atmosphere. When heading into town, there are buses passing right in front of the hotel, and the bus can drop you off right on the other side of the road as well! I would certainly stay there again, its so handy for the city.

Good Stay

The room was quiet, spacious, clean and tidy and was impressed that it was cleaned, bed made and towels changed every day. We stayed over the weekend which was an ok buffet breakfast, plenty to eat. On the Tuesday it was alot better as we could order and it was cooked fresh. Hotel well situated for attractions. Our friends stayed in another room but werent as fortunate and had alot of problems with their room. Staff were helpful when you could find them to ask! We would stay again if we could get it at a good price.

Shocking - dont stay here

Stayed on 5th April - first room had paint hanging off the ceiling which was flaking all around the toilet. Generally room smelled and the room was really not clean. Requested a room change which we got quickly after being told we had been allocated to the worst room! Second room was marginally better, nice iron burn mark on the carpet, generally bits of fluff and dust (clear to see on the dark furniture). Overall staff not friendly and the breakfast was awful - they agreed to 'grill' the bacon as it was grey with white fat. Would not recommend this to anyone.
