great staff ageing hotel

don't know why but i actually enjoyed this holiday on arrival normal story for this hotel [overbooked can give you a bad room 1 night] changed rooms next day to a better room but on the top floor with lots of steps[i had requested a low floor because my wife has problems with stairs] look carefully at the pics this hotel is basic the reception staff seem to be trained by Manuel from faulty towers except they were worse [although quite friendly bloody useless] the hotel itself has many problems and needs a sizeable investment to bring it up to date although the maintenance men try to keep things operating [i had 3 problems 2 fixed within 30 mins and a burst pipe in the bathroom which took about 4 hours although made safe within 30 mins] the "all inclusive" consists of 3 meals drinks normally in small plastic cups [about 1/6 pint] and occasionally a fakir belly dancer act no snacks and all inclusive finishes 10pm [although for a £7 pppn payment can be extended to 1 am [although on 14/10/2015 they had dinner by the pool and put on a dinner show that worked ] i heard about break ins and money being stolen. anybody leaving money in ANY hotel bedroom is mad a safety box costs around £2 and is well worth it the staff starting with the Pharaoh Max a nice man he has only arrived at the hotel recently and asks that he be told of problems so he can fix them [a reasonable request] i found him approachable and helpful Mohammed and Gizer were the room cleaners . both very friendly helpful and trustworthy people the restaurant staff were also fantastic especially Tomy and Fred in the bar Alez but to mention a few in fact i i have to admit i enjoyed myself thanks to the 5 star staff the food was edible but not fancy most guests seemed to enjoy it

The best thing about my stay was...

the fantastic friendly staff

amar sina

Staff couldnt do enough for you. Food was a bit repetetive but ok. There was no farm or zoo at the hotel as stated on the website. As checkout was at 12 we paid to stay on till 6 but were not entitled to any food or drink unless we paid extra for it. Entertainment was very poor.

The best thing about my stay was...

the weather and the company

I fell in love with Amar Sina. This is a very special place, where the hospitality kindness and service from all the staff members was outstanding. The Amar Sini is inexpensive & affordable you get great value for your money. The hotel and surroudings are amazing. This is a 3* with 5* quality. If you want to have a special vacation you will love it here.

Go at your own risk

Worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. 4* what a joke, remove at least 3 of them Was 'welcomed' by 2 of the most miserable people in the world, which kind of put me a little on edge anyway. Checked my friend in and then off to the rooms. Booked a room with a mountain/pool view got a room with a view of a brick wall with a rubbish dump at the base. After travelling over 12 a few basics I wanted to do, like go to toilet - didnt work, have a shower - didnt work, (also no towels or toilet roll provided so if you should decide to go, take your own just in case), had to go up to my friends room for both, but even then had to remove the top of the toilet to flush it and had to wash my hair in the wash basin because not enough pressure from the shower to get the soap out - great start. Anyway decided to go down for some 'food' after a while gave up trying to make out what the were serving and got some rice (pretty obvious what that was) and some salad with grated carrot on top, think that would be ok ......... no ............. the carrot was that old that it fizzed when you ate it, needless to say no food that night On returning to my room found my door was unlocked even though I was sure I had locked it, but no, door didnt lock either, which makes for a really safe nights sleep. Went to complain about the room and was told they would send someone to 'fix' things, surely this should of been done BEFORE they put someone in the room, but by this time it was 10 at night, asked if I could be changed to another room (they were no where near capacity) they point blank refused. Moved my things into my friends room - safety in numbers - and cut my losses and moved hotel the following morning. Would advise to avoid at all costs, but really does depend on what you are willing to put up with.
