10/10 Amazing

Loved it! the atmosphere and staff were great!

I and my wife just went to Thailand for our honeymoon, visited 3 different places. Our stay at The Chedi made our days in Chiang Mai very relaxing and exciting. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the word go. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was great! I would reccomment this hotel to all different kinds of people, whether they are going on their honeymoon or just a family holiday.

The best thing about my stay was...

The food!

Just as expected

When I first started to plan my trip I came across the CHEDI and thought Id love to stay here. After searching for hours on the internet I found the price I was looking for on alpharooms and booked 4 nights in MAY 2012. The price was still out of my budget but for what I got I was so pleased. We arrived at the hotel with a lovely welcome, but what strikes you first is the décor which is exquisite. We were tempted to upgrade to the club suite but decided not to as the cost was far too much. However the price I paid here would only get half the size room in the UK so my husband and I enjoyed every bit of it! It was low season so the hotel was really quiet, but that made the stay even more special. the staff were very attentive to our needs and friendly. We had booked one of their elephant trekking tours from the hotel however I became ill the night before and informed the staff and they didn't charge us for cancelling, instead they let us have a longer check out for free knowing that I was poorly! The hotel is not on the cheap side but I didn't expect it to be and if you go here you shouldn't expect bargains but pure luxury The service they provided would be of 7 star quality in the UK and for that reason I can not say a bad word about our stay! I would definitely recommend this for couples on their honeymoon!

The best thing about my stay was...

décor, space, location and service

Lovely hotel

The service lived up to expectations that came from all the online reviews. The hotel is certainly top class with friendly staff that make you feel very relaxed. My mum and I stayed in a deluxe twin, which was more than adequate for us. The decor was simple which is just the way I like it. Each room had it's own balcony which is nice for photos and things but not very practical as opening the door would have let in goodness knows how many more mosquitos. Was warned about the mosquitos in advance so I wasn't too put off by them, the room comes with an electric mosquito repellant but they didn't make this obvious, which is a shame because when they plugged it in the second night for us it did a real good job of keeping the mosquitos at bay. The breakfast is OK but I've had much better. The hot buffet breakfast items are made to order so you are forced to eat a whole portion and not be able to try as many things as when you can help yourself. The cold buffet breakfast was acceptable but didn't have as wide a range as you would expect.

The best thing about my stay was...

Architecture/design of the hotel, winning service
