Nice views and pool, shame about the noise from other apartments
Briasn Sanderson, Poole
Muntanya Mar, is up a hill, not too far but no good if have walking problems or maybe children. It is in great position, easy access to beach and the older part of town. There are geat views from all balconies, best ones are rooms on each floor from 2 to 6. The apartments are in need of an update really, there was adequate crockery and kitchen utlencils. no kettle as soem reviewers seem to complain about but use the sausepan, no problems, fridge, microwave and electric rings ( no oven). But waht brought the rating down was the constat noise that funnelled from the inner wells of the apartments, you could hear everythiong, toilet, talking, doors bangng, furniture moving on tiled floors, and people enjoying themselves! It is not an exaggeration and everybody commented on it though nothing can be done as it seems a design matter. There is alsoo no privacy between balconies . However the pool area is very nice, good priced drinks and snacks and friendly staff especially the 'manager' who was really helpful. If it wasn't for the noise problem ,the apartments are worth a 3/5 easily, also taking into account they do not cost much to rent.Even if you are someone who says you only use them to sleep in, the noises at night really do interfer with sleeping. lanes itself is a nice small beach rersort. Two distinct areas, the modern, typical Spanish holiday area , big hotels , brash bars and tacky souveneer shops. and the northern part , Les Pins, lovely walkways/promonade, nice town shops, alleyways , harbour- watch the fishin gboats come in around 4.30pm unload and they are instantly sold to the resturants, the Botanic gardens on the hill, excellent views even if you are not that into plants. Go on a day trip to Girona, return coach from Blanes bus station is 10 euro. you can also go to barcelona in an hour but a day ther isn't really long enough. Go to Tourist Infomation and get leaflet showing walks, around the 'old town' (not that old really, along prom to harbour, up to botanic gardens on hill and a few others , pointig out places of interest /history. The beach is very nice, small shale, not sand, shelves away a bit , was quiet in september. Resort is mainly German/Dutch holiday makers and British probably about 10%. Supermarkets are good, but remember often closed 2-4pm and moe on sundays. All in all a nice smallish beach resort, good beach and things to do for a week, but would not recommend longer.
The best thing about my stay was...Weather, trip to Girona, Botanic gardens ( no i am not an old fogey!), sitting a chill out bar La Blanc overlooking th e'rock' nd the laid back atmosphere o fthe Les Pins/harbour end of town.

nice clean apartments with lovely sea views.our apartment was large with a huge balcony.kitchen area was good with a micro wave and a two ring hobas well.no kettle, but a saucepan does the sameso no problem.it was up a steep hill ,but only a short climbof about ten minutesfrom the sea front.a deposit of 120 euroesis required, but they will swipe a card but will not take a payment of the card if the apartment is left in the same condition as you arrived.
The best thing about my stay was...a trip to barcelona.
