Great appartment and location
Lovely and clean place with comfortable tidy rooms . The pool area is next to a bar where a range of drinks and snacks were able to be purchased (great for kids as there is a small pool also) The location is very quiet, close to town and the beach. The only downfall is if your with young kids in prams as you have to walk up a steep hill to get to the appartment. The owners were very welcoming and made sure everything you need is given. Only a little improvement that would make this appartment outstanding is if there was air conditioning. Apart from that, the stay was enjoyable and I would definately recommend it.
The best thing about my stay was...nice quiet place with beautiful views

Great Holiday at Atalaya Bosque
Mama bear, Essex
The apartments are in a residential area as mentioned before but the hill to Atalaya Bosque was a lot steeper than we imagined, especially when wheeling your suitcases! Once there the friendliness of the hosts Jamie and Maria was second to none. The apartments themselves were really large, I am sure our 1 bed could easily be reconfigured to a 2 bed with space to spare. There was loads of storage space too, infact so many drawers we couldn't fill them. The best equipped kitchen for a holiday apartment, which we heard many other occupants using but we ate out most of the time. All in all we had a great holiday it was just the climb to and from the apartments which made my rating an 8. Another mention for Maria who seemed to work constantly, the apartments and surrounds were spotless.
The best thing about my stay was...The lovely peaceful apartments with space inside and out - pool was lovely too.

For inexpensive accomodation Atalaya was great. Jaime and his family work hard to keep the place clean and tidy, They're very friendly and helped out with any questions. We had a late flight home and although their T&Ts said we needed to be out by a certain time, Jaime said we could stay all day and just leave whenever it suited us (this was a quiet time of year though so they're probably not as flexible all year!). There was enough self catering equipment to get us by comfortably for 9 days. The hotel is in a residential area and away from the main boulevard that runs through Pegeura. They do have a bar and cafe facilities but these were not open during our easter break, This didn't matter though as the shops, cafes and bars are only five minutes walk. The transfer buses don't go exactly to and from the hotel so you need to walk the last few yards - Paguera and it's surroundings are quite hilly so it's not well suited to the infirm or inactive! With reference to another client's comment below - the swimming pool was spotless and had a cleaning robot scooting around every day.
The best thing about my stay was...Very friendly - good location if you don't mind small hills.

The hotel was fantastic. The room was a good size and the patio was large with table and chairs and 2 sun loungers. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hotel was 10 minutes away from the main Paguera beach and was very quiet on a night which is great for families. The beach and sea were fantastic and we were there every day. There were plenty of places to eat but most catered for the German market so we had to search for a couple of pubs that would show English football. The only down side was the lack of family orientated pubs with kid meals but all in all a great place to visit and I would always recommend the Atalaya Bosque.
The best thing about my stay was...Lovely and Quiet and close to the beach.

Nice, quiet and friendly hotel. Good location close to Peguera
Maikel Hemrica, Veendam
Large appartments. Location of the appartments is nice. Within ten minutes walking you are in the centre of Peguera and the beach. The swimmingpool is small and the water doesn't look very clean all the time. Friendly and helpful owner.
The best thing about my stay was...Large and quiet appartment

Fantastic holiday, everything we wanted
Lucy Jones, West Malling
This was the 3rd time we had stayed at Atalaya Bosque and every year we have had a fantastic holiday. The apartments are of adequate size and clean. The owners are very friendly and will do anything they can to ensure that you always have a great holiday. The hotel is near to the town and bus stops. We mainly stayed around the pool and having snacks and drinks in the pool bar. The beach is only a 5/10 min walk away. We are certainly hoping to go back next year!
The best thing about my stay was...The owners making us feel very welcome

Review of 'Atalaya Bosque'

My friend and I arrived in the early evening to find the main hurdle with this apartment complex is the steep narrow road up to it, coaches are banned so you have to walk the last part suitcases in tow,on arrival we walked into reception to find a note pinned up telling us our room number the reason for this is the bar/pool close at 7pm after the main season is over although it only stays open till 8pm in season.
The room was very clean and had all the basic things you would expect but no air con the balcony is exceptionally spacious and is hardly over looked by any other balconys.
The owner was friendly and helpful but by his own admission this complex is for people who like an early night because as soon as the bar closes the only thing you can hear is the crickets humming away, the walk to the main down is all downhill but a mayor struggle on the way back for the old, infirm and in our case slightly unfit.
The whole area is mainly geared to the German tourists and German is the second language but you can get by in English as well.
My final thoughts are if you want a quite holiday and prefer not to rent a car but remain local to the apartments (and you are quite fit), this is an ideal complex to be staying in, plenty of sunbeds friendly staff and guests that all seem to get on, but if you want a bit more life and and entertainment, as well as a more varied chioce of places to eat i would recommend Santa Ponca, my closing comment is great apartment complex but shame about the hill.

Review of 'ATALAYA BOSQUE'
Frankie, Nottingham, England
I'm going back to this place for my third time this year. What a great place everythings so smooth and calm, the rooms and pool area are clean and welcoming; what more could you ask for when relaxing in a gorgeous country. I went with my parents and a mate, the 2 of us had great fun, especially as Jaime and his mates teased his son in spanish for staring at us, not realising till later we understood what he was on about!

Would totally reccomend this place for anyone

Our Best Holidays Ever

Welcoming would be an understatement! Jaime the owner could never do enough for you, along with his lovely wife Maria and their son Jaimito. We have met many friends there and many of Jaime's friends too.The rooms, bar, pool area and surroundings are lovely and clean and the whole place is run very smoothly. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Jaime. We have visited 4 times in the last 2 years and feel like we are visiting friends rather than going on a package holiday. We had a wedding in July 2005 and Jaime gave my wife away and loved every moment of it,it made the day very special to us.Just one small tip, buy Jaime a drink when you first meet him and you will be assured of many days of laughter and enjoyment with him and his lovely family. He has this saying as an answer to most things "I love Me" as you will find out if you visit "Happy Holiday"
