Avra Beach family holiday
We spent 2 weeks at the Avra Beach as a party of 25. There was something for everyone! Good food, fabulous drinks and the entertainment provided something for all ages. Water polo was a big hit with both adults and children! Patrick and the animation team are great and the hotel has everything you could want. Comfy beds, very clean, spacious rooms. Ask for a sea view. We were married during our holiday and the hotel surprised us with wine, champagne, fruit etc. They couldn't have done more for us! I highly recommend the Avra Beach for a fun, relaxing get away with the family. It's beach side location is one of a kind!
The best thing about my stay was...Hospitality

Lovely spot - great all inclusive choice
Debbie D, Bingley
Lovely rooms, lovely setting right on the beach front Fantastic range of all inclusive drinks day and night including cocktails - rooms clean and airy with comlimentary soft drinks (would have preferred coffee but hey ho, no hardship) good entertainment however not so many English there - which wasn't a problem for us adults - more for the kids/teenagers - - all in striking distance to the bars of Ixia and a short taxi ride into the beautiful Rhodes Town
The best thing about my stay was...Beach front location

A friendly, relaxed hotel
We stayed at Avra Beach for two weeks in May 2010 and had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Our room was comfortable and clean - fairly standard and nothing special. Every member of staff - the receptionist, cleaners, waiters and restaurant manager, were pleasant and helpful. There was a real sense of friendliness at the hotel. The animation team were very good and there was a variety of programmes and entertainment on offer. The pool area was also good. We really enjoyed the music which was played during the day - 70s, 80s and 90s and it was all stuff we knew and loved. There was a good variety of food on offer in the restaurant and we enjoyed every meal. The meals are all buffet style and they seem to try to cater for all tastes, from traditional Greek dishes to pasta, chips and fish fingers. There is a salad bar and usually a number of meat and fish dishes to choose from. We were fully inclusive and certainly had our moneys worth. The drinks were plentiful and there was a wide variety. The pool snacks were adequate, although we didn't really make use of them - pizza, biscuits, cakes and ice cream which you could help yourself to all day, as well as a tea and coffee machine. The hotel is right next to the sea (pebble beach) and is handy for Rhodes Town as it is only a short two euro bus trip away, with a regular bus service from right across the road from the hotel (it is a fairly busy road at times). There are one or two bars nearby and a haldful of shops, but not much to walk round close to the hotel, although as we were all inclusive we were happy to spend most of our time in the hotel anyway, with the odd day trip.

No beach at all
Maria Istomina, Finland
We've stayed at this hotel on May 9-23.05.09. The stay was ok, hotel good, food is good but not more than that, roomservice good. Animation ok. The only disappointment was the beach. Or it's better to say there is no beach at all. For our family it was a big minus. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to the families, who have children under 5 because of that. For adults it's a good place to stay at.
