Overbooked on arrival!
Mr and Mrs R, Fleet Hampshire
We arrived at La Pinta only to be told we were being moved for one night to don Jamie. A huge inconvenience as we were only staying for a week. The breakfast was awful .. Not much of a selection at all. We just had toast! Milk floated with bits so we couldn't have tea either. Rooms very basic.
The best thing about my stay was...The weather!

Basic - with good points
A&C Perthshire, Perth
Initial impressions not good due to being allocated a room without a balcony. However changed at our request, though balcony overlooking street in second choice. Room very basic, small, little free floor space, old fashioned TV that took up 60% of 'dressing table'. Towels very old in toilet. Good points - number one - air conditioning in room, a very big plus. Room and toilet clean. Beds very comfortable. Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed when required. Staff very nice and responded to light bulb replacement, TV remote battery replacement, loss of electricity. Breakfast buffet selection standard stuff, lots of it with something to suite everyone. Only on B&B basis, no idea about other food. Pool area needs some attention in way of general maintenance but nothing too drastic, lack of sunshades. Overall a case of you get what you pay for, if used to a true 3 star rating or more like a Mallorca 4 star you will have to get over initial disappointment but basic cleanliness, food for B&B and very pleasant staff. Don't expect a smile or any cheerfulness from the main body of other guests, must be a national trait when on holiday to be miserable and at times unpleasant. Cala Millor as a destiny? Refer to comment about main body of guests, difficult to find quality non German food to eat. Cala Bona a much better bet with good street entertainment and quality hotels with excellent eating places.
The best thing about my stay was...Finda Cala Bona on walk along the front!

15 Days all inclusive
William Stuart, Edinburgh
I am afraid that there were no plus points during our stay. The food selection was very poor from a small servery counter. Numerous times the food was only warm , never hot. Frequently I had to challenge the staff that the food was warm. After testing they changed the food over , which admits to being warm. The plaes were always cold which never helped and warm if you preferred a salad. No potatoes were available during our stay always chips which were american fries. The salad selection was poor as well with either cheese or one cold meat as a selection. Pate was sometimes there but one slice at a time. The pool side loungers were weather stained and had not been cleaned for what appeared to have been some time. The pool was clean. The A/I drinks were dispensed in plastic containers including the lagers/beers. Glass tumblers were only supplied to paying customers. The entertainment was laughable with wild birds flying for ten minutes one of the highlights. Another was reptiles , real and false for a very short time. The entertainer , so to speak , pocketed a very large percentage of Bingo taking's. The bedrooms although small were kept clean.
The best thing about my stay was...Nothing this time round. I would find difficulty re booking this hotel again

Hotel worth of the price
The standard of the hotel is worth the price. Half board is a good option for people who travel a lot. Food not to bad but predictable.
The best thing about my stay was...Price

Hotel let down by Food Quality.
Brian Armstrong, Glasgow.
Our first impressions of La Pinta Hotel were good. The hotel was in a great location, and was very clean. Where to hotel lets it self down is the catering and the bar. The quality of food is horrendous with nearly the same menu for lunch and dinner.Guests in the hotel at breakfast have to hide butter portions as the staff at the hotel will not give butter portions at lunch or dinner. The bar closes at 11pm every night-this must be the only hotel in Majorca that the bar closes so early.Drinks are served in plastic cups, which during the day at the pool is o.k. but not at night in the main lounge.
The best thing about my stay was...Cala Millor and the hotel location.
