These appartments will be missed by thousands
Fifi , Ireland
Loved this place. Chris working there was very helpful and full of information regarding Corralejo. Hopefully the new owners will do a good job of the place but doubt the value for money will be as good.

You get what you pay for
These apartments have been sold to a company that is going to upgrade and make them an all inclusive complex. ,So a bit run down as obviously current owner not interested. Great location although very noisy and need to make sure all doors and windows are secure due to break ins. Also time to ban smoking inside all holiday apartments everywhere due to the smell they leave!!

Great at the price
Our second visit and just as good as the first. If 'you get what you pay for' is true, then Caleta Playa is outstanding value for money. The apartments have everything needed, though it's all a bit dated and worn, and are kept scrupulously clean by the excellent housekeeping staff. There is a swimming pool and bar that can get a bit noisy sometimes. Great if that's your thing, but we had the option of avoiding it, with our own patio away from the pool (which we had requested in advance). I doubt if there are any hotels or apartments in Corralejo with a better location, metres away from an excellent restaurant and the beach and a pleasant stroll away from the town centre and all the other facilities. We're already booked to stay again, which I guess is good a recommendation as we can give.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions for its location, while the apartments are tired they are well priced for an amazing location on the beach, in close proximity to town.

Great location apartments
catherine mitchell, United Kingdom
This was our first stay at caleta playa but we would definitely stay here again. The apartments are in a fantastic location right on the beach with several beach bars/restaurants close by and only a couple of minutes walk from the main shops, restaurant etc. We stayed in apartment 10 which overlooked the pool area and is one of only two apartments that have a terrace and a balcony upstairs. The apartments would benefit from a bit of updating but they were very clean and towels changed on a regular basis. Yolande and chris who run the pool bar were both very friendly and helpful if you needed any information. There is a walkway that leads directly from the apartments to the beach and The torres bar which did lovely food. we would definitely stay at caleta playa when we visit corralejo again

I was given the room right on the beach and with the Torro Beach restaurant right next door. A short walk to the main strip where there are more shops and restaurants, I really couldn't have asked for a better location. Rooms are a little basic but at the end of the day I was only after somewhere to lay my head and have a shower etc so they were more than sufficient

Decent budget accommodation
Yorkshire Lass, North Yorkshire
Location is great, 2 mins walk to a lovely beach, 5 mins the other way to the main 'strip' of shops and bars. Very basic apartments, sofa too uncomfortable to sit on, annoying little things like only 7 coathangers in the whole place, no chopping board in the kitchen, none of the internal doors closed (interesting if you don't like an audience while on the loo!). The bedroom had a lovely big wardrobe but no chest of drawers or anywhere else to put clothes and toiletries etc, so we had to leave underwear and stuff like hairbrushes, hairdryer in the suitcase on the floor all week which was annoying, but on the plus side the whole place was spotless, including the sheets and towels, though the towels have definitely seen better days. We didn't use the pool as it's so close to such a lovely beach and the pool area is small and not particularly attractive. Bedrooms would benefit from net curtains as all the apartments around the pool face inwards at each other so everyone can see straight into each others bedrooms. I can imagine that the pool bar may get noisy in the summer months but it was quiet when we stayed and generally closed before 8pm so want a problem. No air conditioning which was a pain, as even in late April it was stifling during the night as we couldn't leave the window open because of mosquitoes (who were largely undeterred by our anti-mosquito kit!). This is perfectly adequate budget accommodation, in a great location, it could just benefit from a bit of updating.

we have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Caletta Playa Apartments. Having read the reviews I was a bit apprehensive however I was well impressed by the friendliness, cleanliness and most of all the location with a fabulous sea view! we were in room D02 which had a huge balcony with sun loungers and a table and chairs. The apartments are basic but had everything required for a lovely stay. there was hot water for the shower, a fridge, microwave, toaster and two cooking rings. We will most definately be back!!

Clean but badly needs updating
Have just returned from a 2 week stay here. Firstly, the positives - cleaning could not be faulted (every couple of days) with frequent changes of towels etc, although towels rather threadbare. The location is excellent, on a quiet street but only a few minutes walk from beach and shops. However, the place definitely needs updating and a bit of time and money spent on it to bring it up to really acceptable standards. Very poorly equipped kitchen, shabby furniture, slow internet speeds (and only in public areas), and only 1 English -speaking TV channel (Disney Discovery!). This is a real pity because it would be greatly improved if some updating was undertaken. I know it is cheap but even so the overall standard is poor.

Geordie Couple, Durham
For context, we're a retired couple holidaying in January and looking for a peaceful, comfortable break. Caleta Playa almost delivered. First, and vitally important for us, the apartment was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay and I can only agree with the previous reviews who praise the hard-working cleaning staff. The complex is on a fairly busy road with a short walk to the main central areas and only metres away from the beach and the Toro Beach restaurant. There isn't much in the way of management of the site - there is a part-time receptionist with limited English, and the bar staff. On arrival you're issued with a photocopied list of telephone contact numbers for when there is no one there besides the residents (about 12 hours out of every 24), so probably not the place for you if you're looking for attentive service or someone always on hand to resolve any issues. The apartments themselves are perfectly functional, but rather tired and well past their best; importantly, the beds were comfortable. Some of the electrical fittings were dubious from a safety point of view. The stairs (and wet ceramic tiled floors) would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is limited hot water - some apartments have solar heated water that isn't always hot; others have a small immersion water heater that gives a limited amount of (low pressure) hot water, just enough for 2 very quick back-to-back showers. Internally, though dated, there is basic kitchen equipment - fridge, small microwave, 2-ring electric hob, kettle and toaster - enough for preparing snacks, but a bit of a stretch to cook 'proper' meals. All of the apartments have a patio area with chairs and tables and, depending on the time of day some (but not all) are sunny and well sheltered from the wind which can be bothersome at this time of year. Sadly, the more expensive sea-view apartments get much less sun and their patios are most vulnerable to the wind. Those around the pool are well sheltered but there can be problems with noise. Apart from the normal 'fun' you find around any pool, there is a small bar. The barman is a man of strong opinions, often expressed ever more loudly as the day progresses if there happen to be any residents who enjoy an afternoon drinking with him at the bar. Most guests seemed to be like ourselves, preferring the days when the bar was empty. I appreciate we all have different tastes and must accept that others may have alternative views of what they want from their holiday, but for the first few days we were there, the barman and 3 'friends' took over totally with their loud conversations. The loudness may be acceptable - different needs - but the foul language was not. When we mentioned this to reception, we were met with a pleasant smile and a shrug of the shoulders. As always, you get what you pay for, and Caleta Playa is very reasonably priced. Not the quietest because of the poolside issues and the road outside, and a bit basic and dated, but if you can live with that, the apartments provide a perfectly adequate place to stay, close to the beach, with comfortable beds and kept spotlessly clean. There is no air conditioning, so personally we would not choose to stay there in the hotter months.
The best thing about my stay was...Cleanliness and comfortable beds.

The apartment was basic but had everything you would expect from this type of accommodation, the staff were very polite and helpful. If you like your own space then this is an ideal place it is relatively quiet but is in an ideal location. When I return to Fuertaventura I will be checking the availability of this property, I have visited Coralejo many times and stayed at different locations, I would say that this is my favourite place.
The best thing about my stay was...No hassle, clean, and helpful staff

I have stayed at these apartments for the last 5 years and love coming back, you cannot beat the location as right on beach, cleaners are fantastic always on the go, owners just need to do snagging jobs (door handles, new shower heads etc) but still love it, plus little bar hut and lovely pool .
The best thing about my stay was...Being in Fue , the sunshine and the location of my apartments

This accommodation is in a great location, very close to the beach & close to all the bars, restaurants & shops. Accommodation is basic but clean & has everything you need. Pool area compact but has enough sun loungers to go round, all of them in very good condition, small children's pool with plenty of things for children to play with (free of charge).

Been 3 times in the last six months and booked again for October, what can I say, not the best furnished accommodation, but everything you need is there. Ideal location for beach a few steps away, restaurants and shops a short walk away, with the Beneton restaurant on your doorstep where if reception is closed will be the location of your keys, or they will be with Chris at the pool bar. We did book a sea view months ago but ended up with a pool view, hopefully in October we will achieve a sea view. We did suffer with a few cockroaches in down stairs toilet but that was put right in 2 two minutes of reporting it. staff are great, and cleaning done very well. a taxi to the National Park and dunes will set you back 3/4 euros well worth the money. One point I would make is although aircon is rare in Fuerto, and fan would not go amiss for those hot evenings to cool the room.
The best thing about my stay was...service is good and baggage can be stored when leaving accomodation
