my meric hotel
Robert Farrer, Aberdeen, Scotland
i have just returned from the my meric on 25.05.12 this is my second time here last year and this with a large company of friends some of which had kids, couples, single dults, and grandparents, and can say every one enjoyed the hotel. The food is continental but very good quality and always plenty of choice, the kids as well as the adults ate well.the hotel is very clean and the pool with its beutifull views over the sea and mountains is stunning. The hotel is in a very good position to shops bars and restaurants. all in all this hotels is very good value for money and in a lovely area of turkey, the walkin bar just a stone through from the hotel front doors is a great place to drink eat and be merry its staff are great and seem to work well with the hotel to insure the guests are looked after.my only down side this year was i didnt feel the staff in hotel innteracted as well with customers as they had last year, this is not a knock at the service they gave,as it was very good, but just felt last year ther was more character and fun with the staff that were there.i would and will be coming back to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.
The best thing about my stay was...The view from my balcony over looking the pool and down into the bay and on to the mountain side, stunning.

Very good hotel telling my family and friends to go there
James Singleton, Lincoln
Staff very friendly and never stop cleaning. Views fantastic from most rooms in the hotel, Rooms are very big. In my room double and single bed, fridge, hairdryer, air con and tv. Only had bbc world service though. Transfer time is at least 2 and 1/2 hrs and slighty scary as you get near the resort! Mainly English in the hotel, although a few Russians turned up in my last couple of days, so dont expect much vodka left. Main pool and baby pool very clean. Main pool has astroturf around the edge to stop you slipping over, but be careful because if you step off it with wet feet the tiles are very slippy! Loads of sunbeds All inclusive food and drinks are average but remember it is Turkey and therefore it is above average and just bear in mind how much you paid for the hotel probably about £11 a day, not a lot so be realistic! Everything is on your doorstep, bars resturants boat trips turkish bath sky tv in all bars. If you want a lively night out Marmaris is a boat trip away although the resort will start to pick up a bit now. Walkin bar can play music till 4am as it can shut its doors, other bars have to turn music off at midnight. I would definately return to the hotel as it is very good value.
The best thing about my stay was...The views and friendlness of all of the staff

Great value for money
jacqueline mccabe, Birmingham West midlands
Have been visiting turunc with my friend twice a year, for the past 8 years, so i think it fair to say i know what Turkey has to offer. Having watched My Meric being built, decided to give it a go, and was not dissappointed. Rooms were spacious, clean, we had a suite. Staff were helpful, always asking if all was well. Food was typically Turkish, great thats what we expected, if we'd wanted a great british fry-up, then we would have gone to Blackpool! We only ate out once in 2 weeks, that was to our friends resturant Musties. Meals were a bit repetative, but great value for money, if your on a budget. Dont believe other peoples views , check it out for yourself, glad we did.
The best thing about my stay was...No hassle, friendly staff, good basic food

Lovely hotel and location
Lee Randall, Basildon, Essex, UK
Having read other reviews I was a little concerned about the quality of this hotel but I have to say both my wife and I were very impressed. This was by far the cheapest all-inclusive available and although the food isn't good that didn't spoil a lovely holiday. Hotel is very clean and tidy, staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are very large with great air-con and the views are gorgeous - overlooking the sea to the right, pool below and mountains in the distance. Also the location couldn't have been better, it's about a 30 second walk down a hill to the seafront where there is a small harbour and nice lovely (a bit shingley) and the water is unbelievably clear so great for looking at all the fish, some even eat bread straight from your hand! There were only 2 down-sides to the hotel... the food which although was generally cooked fine the variety just wasn't there. Every day for lunch and evening meal there would be lots of Turkish salads and a soup (I tried different soups each day and had to leave them all - nothing like what we have in UK, they are all a bit like dishwater if I'm honest). In the hot section there would be some kind of chicken (a different one each day, we had casserole/fried/breaded etc) and the choice of chips or rice, also there was usually some kind of processed meat - a bit doner kebab tasing. For dessert there were 3 different types of pastries/sponge which were all doused in honey and sometimes there would be an option of a mousse-type thing which wasn't great. For breakfast there was bread and a selection of jams, honey and chocolate spread. Usually melon or an apple, some cheese and salami-type meat and a choice of 2 juice drinks. Oh there was also 2 different types of cereal but the milk was in a carton on the side and was fairly warm, plus the cornflakes were horrible and so were the chocolate ball things. Natural yoghurt was also available. As for the hot section - a boiled egg and some little Turkish sausage things which tasted slightly better than they looked but saying that I wasn't tempted to go back for any more after my first try! All in all with the food, there was enough I could eat so I didn't starve but nothing I'd choose to eat if I went out for a meal or had cooked for myself. The other down-side to the hotel was the music at the pool bar. I go to lots of gigs and festivals and like music a lot in all sorts of forms but constant R&B played all day at very high volume wouldn't be my personal choice of background music for around the pool! It was being played so loud at times that you had to shout and point your order for drinks at the bar because you couldn't hear above the "music". Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with a bit of R&B through the day but all day long??? Overall if you can get over the food and take some earplugs or an ipod to the pool it really is a beatiful hotel in a beatiful location - and for the price compared to other hotels you could always eat out at some of the local bars and restaurants if need be.
