Cheap hotel but wouldnt go back
First things first, this is by no means a 5* rated hotel despite what people are putting. For the price you pay you can't expect it. However when the hotel is rated 3* when booking it you expect it to be at least clean. Problems we had at Ekinci Palace - Our room was only cleaned once in 14 days, bedding and towels are supposed to be changed every 3 days however we had to go 6 days before they were changed. When the rooms were supposed to be cleaned all they did was empty the bins and make a very poor effort of making the bed and cleaning the floor. On arrival you soon realise you dont get much space to put anything away and only get provided with a very minimal amount of coat hangers in the wardrobe. There was what we could only describe as a red crusty bogie on the wall above our head board, this was still on the wall when we left. Doors were dirty and walls, the bathroom wasn't much better with mould all in the bottom of the shower and scum and dirt all in the cubical and wall. Live wires were exposed in the bathroom and only insulated with tape. Door fames were filthy and if you touched they practically fell out. The bottom metal panel on the bathroom door were held on with masking tape. More live wires insulated with tape in the kitchen. Floors that were supposed to be cleaned clearly wasn't. The fridge was clean however smelt like gone off milk. The aircon which you have to pay £80 for was absolutely filthy black and thick with dust, giving both me and my partner a bad chest. The curtains had mould growing on them. If your expecting a good nights sleep then don't they really need some new pillows as these are beyond old and warn. Staff were OK however badgered you constantly to buy drinks and expect you to eat there all day everyday. We found cliff especially pushy and rude. When telling him we would be going out for tea he would still try and make you stay. Insisting you watch the show. He would then become rude and not speak to us or even say hello when we walked passed him. It was very annoying that they would never bother any of the Turkish guest that would be staying there. We also had problems with them getting our bills wrong. We wasn't expecting any 5* treatment and we went self catering for a reason so we could go out and try things around the area. We found other guest having the same problems and feeling uncomfortable staying around in the day. Been going to turkey for years and have stayed in a few self catering hotels and would never ever go back here. It is terrible that people have been saying how amazing this place is when its clearly not the case. It gives people false expectations of the hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...Pool was nice and good views

Holiday ruined right from arrival
Brenda McCormack, Manchester
Arrived at 03.30 to be given key and told it was for my room. I had to ask just where this room was as it was my first time. I was told follow path and last 2 buildings yours is on left so I asked was I ground floor and was told no 3rd floor and carry your cases yourself. I am 63 year old pensioner and told him this was too hard to do and he just shrugged his shoulders and I was left to it. I struggled for over 30 minutes and eventually made it to my room. By this time I was in agony with my back as I realised I had done some damage carrying the cases. Next day I complained to my rep who arranged to get me moved to ground floor because climbing stairs was very painful. This happened after 4 days , I had to get strong painkillers to walk about but only very short distance. Coupled with some of staff being suggestive and rude with one even having the cheek to slap me on my bottom whilst I was checking something at reception and I was disgusted that no one did anything.
The best thing about my stay was...The pool was only thing I liked because it was the only place my back didnt hurt

Nice Family Holiday
C Brown, England
I have stopped in Icmeler on many occasions and overall we had a nice holiday. The potential of Ekinci Palace is amazing, but it is let down in 1 or 2 areas. The staff tend to do what they like and the service could be better. Some of them really work hard, whilst some of the others look to shirk. Under the right direction, the service could be a lot lot better. The cleaners were a bit hit and miss, and on some days it was difficult to work out if they had been or not. In the rooms, the self catering utensils are a bit hit and miss, we were one family in a large party and none of us had the same utensils in our apartments. In ours, we only had one coffee cup. But all the negatives aside. It didn't spoil our holiday, and overall the Ekinci Palace was a nice and friendly place to stay with a good sized pool, and an enclosed air conditioned bar/restaurant area which was great when you wanted to get out of the sun for a while.
The best thing about my stay was...The air conditioned Bar/Restaurant area

Good basic rooms,. kept clean. With good size pool/.If you do not want to stay in a play school it is not for you - lots of prams + kids. Loud dance beat music played all day by the pool. So not a place for a relaxing holiday. Also the staff ignore you if you do not spend money on drinks / meals. the receptionist does not speak english/ and is not frendly, To sum up --cheap but not chearfull
The best thing about my stay was...Leaving
