If only they remembered the little things

Spent 2 weeks in room 410, fantastic views of Med & sunsets from restaurant terrace and our room. Main problem we encountered was not having a pillow for each of our party (4) for first 3 nights, didn't have a towel each for first 4 days and then had to remind them on 6 further occasions about towels. Breakfast is good but got bored with scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs each morning, lunch not bad but dinner was a bit un imaginative but to be fair it is possible to select so etching from the buffet. Staff helpful but clearly undermanned, 3 nice pools with depths to suit all. Pool area only cleaned at end of day so when bins full the area was littered. Cleansing of pool only twice weekly and not thorough as algae deposits visible around most of the pools, likewise communal areas of hotel grounds (except paths) littered with disposable cups, plates & empty cigarette packets with no attempt to clean up during our stay. Our rooms was clean and cleaned regularly and we had hot water available whenever we needed it, our air con worked perfectly well and the room didn't suffer from damp. The problems are really at management level and due almost entirely to staffing levels which in a country of 30% youth unemployment is bizarre. If only they remembered the little things this would be an excellent hotel and consequently they could charge a little more! Go figure!!

The best thing about my stay was...

The views over the Med and the sunsets are superb and almost make up for the negatives,.

3Star but would rate between a 2-3 Star

On arrival check-in was quick, bit of a mix-up with room as there was no bed for our daughter, but this was quickly rectified. Bar/Restaurant/Snack Staff rushed off their feet, not enough staff to cover volume of guests, Tables outside were never cleaned until bar staff came on at 6pm, which made everything look a bit unclean. Pools were good, our daughter had a brilliant time in them and was rarely out of them. They have a bit of bother with their plumbing system, had to complain about 3 times regarding the toilet. Sunbed area and around the pools were quite dirty, didn't look like they were cleaned or hosed down very often. Beautiful view from the hotel, so relaxing just watching boats and yachts going back and forward, good place to do some snorkelling. Staff were really good and helpful, couldn't fault them in any way, just understaffed. Animation Team we felt were okay but not as good as other places we have been to and once they had finished the Mini Disco for the kids, unless there was a show on afterwards, there was no music or entertainment later, quite a quiet place. Food was okay, just about the same as you would find in most 3 Star Hotels. Drinks couldn't fault. Overall we enjoyed our holiday, but this hotel could be a wonderful hotel if it upgraded a few things first.

The best thing about my stay was...

It had beautiful views and our daughter had a brilliant time in the pools, bar and restaurant service was good, good place to just chill.

Great staff, bad rooms

one star all inclusive this hotel is situated in a wonderful place, beautiful view. he had his days, is in need of a total refurbishment .You have clean up and make your own bed.! uncomfortable beds with bugs some mildew in the room..Food sometime ok. good beer wine so so ! breakfast very poor. ! after one week you really want to go back home .!One change of towels and sheets in 10 days. dead watch out for parassites in bed !

The best thing about my stay was...

the sea view was great and the clear sea water. The rooms can have a pine view, or a palm view or if you lucky maybe you can get one with a sew view. Many trees in fron of the rooms.

Needs more staff and a Decent Manager.

I am a great believer in "you get what you pay for" but sadly Club Vista Bahia has left me feeling short changed. This hotel is extremely badly managed and the standards of cleanliness in the main hotel and pool area are a disgrace (the cleaning of the rooms was much better). The mess around the pool, bar and reception area's is still there when you go to breakfast. I didn't once see anyone having a thorough clean of the pool area (a brush and a hose down of spilt drinks would of done). The grounds of the hotel do not look like they have seen maintenance for months. You are often left standing around in the restaurant waiting for plates and cutlery. You see occasional poor standards in all hotels, but here, you see it hour after hour, day after day. The sad thing is this hotel has great potential and is set in a beautiful location. The staff they do have (Lau at the poolside bar especially) are all pleasant and helpful, there just isn't enough of them. If they had a few more staff and a manager who had pride in what they were doing this hotel could be a real winner. Fortunately my two young children managed to enjoy their holiday, even though their mum and myself didn't.

The best thing about my stay was...

The stunning sunsets, and my kids not realising what a poorly run hotel this was.

Excellent Family Holiday

Was a litle bit worried after reading trip advisor reviews, however i need not have worried. As soon as the coach pulled up to the Vista Bahia i knew i had chosen right............. Views were amazing both during the day and the amazing sunsets in the evening. Three swimming pools, one especially good for my Seven year old son, plenty of sunloungers to go around. Our room was number 10, straight out onto the swimming pool and was clean and comfortable, clean towels everyday and tidied by our lovely polite cleaner. Breakfast was fab, snack bar food great, lunches and dinners in the restaraunt were ok, not Michelin star, however if you were wanting that then perhaps book a 5* hotel, always something you could eat. Lou who worked at the pool bar managed to juggle serving many drinks whilst cooking the snacks so there was times when you had to wait but not for long, and on an evening there were sometimes a queue for drinks. Daily entertainment was fab, my son found plenty to do including football, tennis, archery and much more and the kids club on an evening we couldn't fault........... Adult entertainment on an evening was a tad cheesy but hey it was fun !!!!!!!!!! Fab hotel/holiday .... wouldn't hesitate to go back !!!

The best thing about my stay was...

The amazing views, beautiful beaches.

The view was amazing, the sunsets incredible. The food was fine. But everything else wasn't great. The gardens are not tended, graffiti on cacti, broken floor tiles, I received an electric shock from the coffee machine in the bar, bins overflowing, cups/plates everywhere, towels not changed until complained and even then it took 12 hours for the towels to come. Clearly understaffed. pool areas rammed. Receptionist brisk. Never again.

The best thing about my stay was...

Value for Money

Just returned from a relaxing 7 day holiday at this hotel which is in a fantastic setting. The staff were really friendy and the service good. The rooms were basic but adequate and clean, if anything they would benefit from a little up dating (just appeared a little tired, worn in places). However, they were cleaned every day and towels were changed whenever we left them in the bath. The food was ok (for a 3 star) hotel, although i did find the choices to be a little repetative towards the end of the holiday but all in all I think there would be a choice for all tastes eg, chicken, fish, pork, paella, pasta, potatos, rice, fries, veg and salad. The beach is a 10 minute walk away from the hotel but well worth a visit (there are 2 small ones). The second beach had a life guard (so safe for children) and watersports could be accessed from here. The sea could be accessed from the hotel by walking down steps onto the rocks where there were additional sun beds. It was great for snorkling from here with a abundance of fish but watch out for the jellyfish! All in all this was a value for money holiday.

The best thing about my stay was...

The beautiful setting

Cheap and Chearful

The hotel is in a quiet location with excellent views out to sea, Portinatx is a short walk away and this is an excellent little place with nice sandy beaches and with a good few places to eat and drink. The hotel is ok but could do with a bit of a makeover, it appears a little bit dated, the pools are good with lots of sunloungers to choose from, although a bit of a clean up now and again wouldnt go a miss, the beer is good and food from the snack bar was ok, the downside from my point of view was the food in the main restaurant, as a family we are not fussy but it was AWFUL, the service was poor, there was very little variety of food, and the smell in the restaurant didnt entice you to want to eat in the place, but never mind we managed. What I would say was if this is your main Holiday for the year pay a bit extra and stay in a better hotel, I would say a weeks long enough here, but if you just want a short cheap break its good enough.

The best thing about my stay was...

Relaxing Holiday
