Pleasant Stay

Good accommodation, plenty of space. Cleaned every day. Good size pool, with plenty of sun beds. Very close to the beach, but you do have to pay for sun beds. No atmosphere in the evening. I would stay here again as it worked for us as a family. The only criticism I have is there should be a courtesy room for those that have an evening flight.

The best thing about my stay was...

Having the beach right on your doorstep

Quiet, big hotel

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, everything was OK except the fact that the air con wasn't working well. The location is not good for someone who wants to have fun, its better to go on the south of the island.

Straight-forward, very friendly, good value

I was attending a 3 day wedding in Peyeia and most of the wedding guests chose to stay nearer Paphos - but I wanted to be near the beach, so struck out on my own to the Corallia (against my host's recommendation). I definitely made the right choice! Not only did I pay less for the room, but the beach directly in front of the Corallia is the best in Coral Bay. The room is simple (no decor to speak of...) but it has a good shower, fridge, air-con, hairdryer (i.e. everything you need) and is clean. OK, so the sink in my room leaked when I arrived (bad thing), but it was fixed within minutes of my alerting reception (good thing!) In fact, that was what made my stay - the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. They were always happy to help, and efficiently and politely organised a late check-in, late check-out and room-change for me. As a lone, female traveller, feeling safe important - and I felt very safe here. But more than that, it was lovely to be met with a smile and a chat when I tottered back late at night!

The best thing about my stay was...

Beach, friendly staff

sun, sea, sand! what's not to like!

we stayed in September 2011 ( single girls, 35+ ) and had a restful 10 days. The proximity to the beach is amazing, the pool / garden area very clean and welcoming. poolside service could be a little slow at times but the lunchtime food was excellent. 10 euros each for buffet style dinner, themed menus, some better than others but overall good selection of food and good service. Rooms very old fashioned, dated. We were on the garden side so cooler in the evenings Would definitely go again.

The best thing about my stay was...

close to the beach, peaceful

Good value Hotel - Corallia Hotel Cyprus

We stayed in the Corallia hotel for one week, in Sep 11. The weather was very good as was the hotel. The rooms are extremely practical insomuch as you have a bedroom, bathroom and a sitting lounge with kitchenette. Our apartment was clean. The hotel is slightly dated but we had a seaview with a large balcony. This was great for sundowner G & T's and for morning cup's of tea. The kitchenette has a cooker and fridge and so you can self cater to whatever degree you wish. The supermarket at the hotel, and a larger one just 10 mins walk away, are adequately stocked. We had breakfast each day which was quite good. They obviously have a daily change of hot foods available eg scrambled egg / beans / bacon some set days and then perhaps hard boiled eggs / chipolattas / toms another etc etc. I asked for boiled eggs on two occassions and they were happy to do them. The evening buffet dinner is good value at just 10 euros per head. Some days were better than others. The bar-b-q night was very good as was the carvery. But you might want to see what the "theme" is each night and you can easily eat elsewhere if you wish. But you won't get a buffet dinner elsewhere at 10 euros. All in all we would use this hotel again. The sea swimming area is excellent, although you do have a little walk through the garden area and down the side to get to the beach ( a mere 3 minute walk ). The garden area was pleasant. This is not a 5 star "modern hotel" but it is very good value. A little bonus is that the bus route starts / stops at the hotel and so every 15 mins or so there is a bus if you want to go into town. On this, always buy a "day ticket" at 2 euros. It gives as many journeys as you want for the whole day. If you buy a single ticket ( eg into Paphos ) it is 1 euro and of course 1 euro back again.

The best thing about my stay was...

Excellent value.

Great value

We have been going to this hotel for 11 years usually once or twice a year. We think of it as a second home to chill out as it is away from our hectic life in England. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is good with lots of it and it is handy for the beach. The buses to the market and harbour stop outside. A car is needed to acess the hills and sights if you wish to take in the culture but for a quiet break it is great. It could do with a refurb in the not too distant future but is clean and well looked after. I would rather have the scenery and helpfull staff than a clinical ultra modern hotel that is more expensive. The gardens and pool area are well looked after and kept very clean. The beach area is also kept clean and the water is not too deep which is great if you are not very happy unless you can touch the bottom. People snorkle in the sea off the beach and at night you can watch them swimming with their lights on from the balcony of your room.

The best thing about my stay was...

To completley relax in the garden on a sunbed with a good book.

Fantastic position. The best in Coral Bay

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a sea view. The view was superb and well worth paying a little extra for. The balcony was huge and we loved sitting out every morning and evening. The hotel is lovely with attractive reception, restaurant, bar and pool. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was basic but large and perfectly adequate. There is a very regular bus service into Coral Bay itself or Paphos (every 10 minutes) and only 1 euro per trip. We were going to hire a car but there was absolutely no need with this cheap and efficient service. The beach is great and straight out of the hotel which was extremely convenient. The hotel does a theme night each evening and we went to 2 of them. They are very good value at 10 euros per person for as much as you can eat. A very enjoyable holiday and I would definitely go back.

The best thing about my stay was...

the position of the hotel.

Good Value

We have just returned from two weeks holiday at this very friendly hotel. The position has to be one of the best in the Coral bay area, right on a beautiful little beach with crystal clear water and soft sand. The views over the sea from the huge balcony was stunning. The apartments were a good size if a little tired, but kept very clean by the staff.Towels were chaged every other day and the sheets every 3 days and the bathrooms were clean and well equipped with a bath and shower, shaving point, good lighting and mirror. The communal areas of the hotel were kept spotlessly clean and the pool area was a joy! Lots of sunloungers, umberallas, tables etc. with space between them so if you wanted a quiet spot it was easy to find. There was a beautifully maintained grass area with more beds/umberallas and shade from palm trees. The beach was just below the pool area and again there were beds and umberallas (local charge of £3 a day) The waiter service around the pool area was a definite bonus, with charming staff fetching drinks, ice creams even meals to your bed! All in all, this was a very enjoyable holiday in a hotel that although getting a little frayed around the edges made up for it's shortcomings with it's position and friendly, efficient staff. The bus service is excellent, stops right outside the hotel and runs every 15minutes. For 80cents (£1) you can travel as many stops as you want. Coral bay is worth a visit, lots of good restaurants and bars, the cheapest and best food was in Blazing Saddles but right next door was the Elephant restaurant which was more upmarket and served both local and international cuisine. Paphos harbour and also the old town with a charming little market are worth a visit. The mosaics of Dionysis right on the harbour were amazing and the Tomb of the Kings mind boggling. It's probably worth hiring a car if you want to see the sights and travel a little further afield but for a relaxing, restorative holiday the Corallia Beach Hotel would be hard to beat. It's one let down was the food. There was not much choice on some evenings and sometimes the food was not hot but the salad bar and the puddings made sure we didn't starve! All in all I would say this hotel represents very good value for money and I would be quite happy to return.
