Excellent, calm resort which is very clean and run by very welcoming staff
Angus Armstrong, Scotland
Lovely mid-size resort with clean and simplistic (and I see that as a compliment) small bungalows which have a real charm. Surrounded by well tended gardens, very nice pool and facilities, tennis courts. Nice bar area and snacks during the day (we didn't try the restaurant). Clientele when we were there were a mix of 30+, some families and some groups of people in 50's plus. Very nice calm atmosphere; yet so close to all the action for those of us who like a late night, very gay-friendly but not dominated by us! Very welcoming staff and very reasonable prices. Will hopefully stay again and happily recommend. No complaints at all; our only preference next time will be to have a bungalow which faces the pool/garden area rather than the roadside at the back, only because of (some, mild) traffic noise.
The best thing about my stay was...The straightforwardness of the resort, excellent service and calm atmosphere (relaxing, no loud music or loud people!)

Nice attractive complex. Bungalow was ok but back was facing a busy road which could be noisy. Ideal location for seafront and Yumbo Centre and bus stops , but bungalow lounge looked a bit tired and could do with refurbishing. However was ok as we weren't in it very much
The best thing about my stay was...Location

Plenty of trees
Annie Demeyere, Overijse/Belgium
The bungalows are spread over a big domain. However, there is only 1 entrance/exit to this domain, which means that if your bungalow is at the outskirts of the domain you have a fair walk before you get to the entrance/exit. The addition of a small supermarket on this domain would be a good idea. I would not recommend these bungalows for people with walking problems or in a wheelchair or for small children as the living quarters of the bungalow are on 2 levels (2 steps to take). Quite a few bungalows are surrounded by trees, which may be pleasant in full summer, but if you go in late autumn/winter/early spring, you will only have a little sun just before sunset on the terrace and inside the bungalow is very somber. Even during the day you need the light on.
The best thing about my stay was...There were always plenty of chairs around the pool and very few people

Just back from a 2 week stay ! Bunglaows were very spacious, brillant pool, no faults at all ! However shops were a good walk away
The best thing about my stay was...Complamentary rooms given if your flight is at night as you must vacate your room at 12 on day of departure, was given a new room for the evening !

Not for the English!
We arrived at this complex at 10.30pm and to begin with all seemed well. We were encouraged to take a safe when checking in, which was an additional 14 euros, plus a 10 euro deposit, which did surprise me, as events were to unfold. When we got into the bungalow, as it had been a hot day, it was obviously stuffy and needed airing, so we opened the sliding door and began to unpack. While in the shower and my partner was in the bedroom, someone broke in and stole my wallet and money. As it was 11pm, I was unable to report the incident until the next day, as the reception shuts at 11pm and there was no one to contact in the event of an emergency! The following day I went to the reception to be greeted by a middle aged German lady, who to put it mildly was less than sympathetic and proceeded to question my version of events, even accusing me of prehaps misplacing my wallet at the airport or even having lost it in the street!! I reminded her that we'd purchased the safe key and unless I'd magiced the cash out of thin air, how did she think I'd paid for that?? It was at this point she said that they'd had a spate of burgularies over a year ago, but they thought the new 6ft fence had put pay to that!! However, there was no security guard patrolling the complex at night or any cctv and given how lax security proved at reception, it was possible for anyone to wonder in! She did however point me in the direction of the police station and sent me on my way, without a word of moral support or assistance for the predicament that we now found ourselves in. A few days later she phoned me to ask to have a copy of the police report as her director had asked to see it. So happily I obliged thinking at last I might see some some genuine customer service or sympathy, but how wrong I was was. The "nice" German lady told me that even if I had insurance (which I did) I would not be able to claim having opened the door!! You are only given one key, which you would have to use to lock the door from inside, as there are no internal locks, again something that's not explained to you when checking in and given that you're on holiday you expect to be a bit more secure than living in some inner city ghetto! And given how hot it was, what did she expect us to do??? This woman's whole attitude absolutely sucked and as the complex was predominantly occupied by Germans, she was always very keen to ensure that I kept quiet when dealing with her at reception when other guests were about and by the end of the week, I very much got the impression that as an English couple (professional I might add) they were keen to see the back of us as the couple who'd been robbed and had brought shame on the complex! Our holiday was ruined by this and rather than show any support or sympathy, I was shocked at just how little compassion or assistance was given. But when you stay some where where 5 channels on the tv are German, 5 are In Spanish & as English guests all you get is CNN world news, what do you expect!?! I would never return to this resort and I would strongly recommend other English travellers don't, we were not made to feel welcome or valued customers, in fact, quite the opposite!!
The best thing about my stay was...Leaving!

THE BUNGALOWS WAS LOVELY, THE MAIDS CAME IN EVERY DAY AND MADE THE BEDS, WASHED DISHES IF WE HAD LEFT ANY DIRTY,BEDS AND TOWELS WERE CHANGED EVERY THIRD DAY TOWELS MORE FREQUENTLY IF LEFT IN BATH TO BE CHANGED,FLOORS WERE SWEPT EVERY DAY KITCHEN DONE EVERY DAY, YOU JUST COULDNT ASK FOR BETTER SERVICE AND THE PEOPLE WERE SO FREINDLY THEY COULDNT DO ENOUGH FOR US. THE ONLY THING WE WOULD HAVE CHANGED TO OUR WHOLE HOLIDAY WAS BETTER AIR CONDITIONING, APART FROM THAT ONE THING WE WOULD RECOMMEND BIARITZ BUNGALOWS TO ANYONE WE ENJOYED OUR TIME THERE SO MUCH WE ARE ALL GOING BACK TO PLAYA DE INGLIAS AND THE BIARITZ BUNGALOWS IN OCTOBER 06

Review of 'BIARRITZ'
Chris Davidson, Plymouth
Fantastic location and setting. Accomadation was clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and the swimming pool and restaurant were first class and the food and drinks were at a good price. Not far from the beaches and the YUMBO centre with its many bars is within a two minute walk. Is catered mainly towards the German market especially the Sat television but we certainly enjoyed our time there. Was hoping to go back next year but is apparently closing next year for a major refurbishment.
