The Quietest Hotel in Paguera

This the 4th time we have stayed at the Don Antonio and it is keeping up its standards. Excellent service, big well appointed rooms that are clean and sparkling, good food, terrific service in restaurant. Clean pools, free sunbeds and towels, quiet and considerate guests. Nothing new there then. The Hotel is a 15 minute walk from the centre of Paguera ,very uphill on the way back, and so is quiet both during the day and at night. Some noise from the hotel below ( Camp de Europe) but minimal. Only downside not even 1 TV channel in English, oh well not a real problem.

The best thing about my stay was...

Quietness

easter break

as stated previously this hotel is a majority german hotel with little or no english guest, the staff ,however ,were the most pleasant weve met in many hotels before .the hotel is quite away from the resort center up hill all the way back.there is a free shuttle bus during the day though food was good although breakfast was a bit limited .evening meal finished at 8.30,9.00 in summer and at finishing time the food was removed immediatly.not much atmosphere in the bar after meal times.rooms pleasant and clean with good size bathrooms.the beds were large but very hard.overhaul a very pleasant stay well worth the money spent.

Wonderful hotel

This is our 4th stay at the Don Antonio and our 5th visit to Peguera. We usually holiday May to August in Majorca but this year decided to try February. Weather was fair, no snow like we were having in England at the time! We had a very relaxing week at the Don Antonio. We spent a couple of warm sunny days sat on our balcony, took the bus in to Palma and walked and lunched the rest of the week away. Peguera is based around 3 beautiful sandy bays. It is geared to the German visitor but everywhere we went some english is spoken. The staff at Don Antonio are fluent in German but once they realise you are English go out of their way to respond in English. Every member of staff we met during our stay was pleasant, friendly and happy to help with any request. Francisco in the bar is a lovely man and Paco ensures service is excellent in the dining room. Reception will try and help with all requests and have bus time tables and local info to hand, along with a drill -which we needed one night when we managed to lock ourselves out of our room! As we are repeat guests we returned one day to complementary champagne and fruit in our room. The hotel is a 7 minute walk down to the main resort, and nearest bars and supermarket so you do need to be fit and able as it is a steep walk back up hill. However, hotel runs a mini bus service down to the resort and back during the day.We like the location as it is in a central position to either walk down to the main street and 3 bays, or visit the picturesque bay of Cala Fornalls, or walk to Camp de Mar and then onto Port Andrax. The rooms are kept in good order, with very clean bathrooms. The aircon has always worked well in summer and for this trip the heating was appreciated instead.Plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner, buffet style and always warm. We love the Don Antonio hotel and will definitely stay there again.

A warm October week at D A

We were 2 couples looking for a break on our favourite island. We always take the golf clubs and hire a car to be able to do some sightseeing. Alpharooms always has something to tempt us.The peacefulness of Paguera suits us.
The Don Antonio was a clean, spacious, well run hotel which provided for all our needs. The pools and surrounding areas were very clean and never too busy. The choice of food was immense and the dining room staff were very proffesional. A good selection of local wine was much appreciated.
Most of the guests were German and we were spoken to in German all the time at first. When they realised we were English they did make an effort to greet us in Englsh.
All in all very good value for money.

Review of 'DON ANTONIO'

The hotel has a good elevated position above Peguera. It is quiet, well run, very clean and the staff are some the friendliest and most helpful we have even met. All meals (except snack bar) are buffet style and the quality and choice of food was good with one show cooking point for the evening meal.

The two pools and surrounding areas were well kept and clean. The hotel prohibits the reserving of sun loungers and as a result these were normally available despite the hotel being full.

The air conditioning to the room was excellent. Guests were mainly German. Our experience is that German children are well behaved both around the hotel and at meal times. This to a couple on their own is an added bonus.

This hotel will appeal to those seeking a quality and relatively quiet holiday.

Our only criticism was that we found the beds slightly uncomfortable.

Review of 'DON ANTONIO'

We stayed at the Don Antonio June 2004. We booked on another website and weren't expecting much for £300/wk. But the place is well furnished, friendly (although few english - mostly german)and the food is excellent - fresh seafood, salads, fruit... The staff are friendly and the rooms are very impressive. The pool is clean and quiet. Infact the hotel is quiet even when full. There werent many childen which was a bonus.
I would gladly recommend this hotel!

Review of 'DON ANTONIO'

We stayed here in October 2004, it was just what we were looking for, very quiet around the pools, fantastic food, beautiful spacious bedrooms. All other guests were German, so no making friends with fellow brits, but this didn't bother us, we found it a very romantic holiday, and would love to go back.
