great destination, lots of green palms and nice beaches not faraway

You can watch sunrise from here, but just 5km is place called La Pared on the west coast, so if you have car, you can easy manage both. Costa calma is very quiet, also in the evening, but very good for common shopping, there are a lot of supermarkets in the area, with nice little bakeries. There is a nice bar in the centre of costa calma gardens, where you can use wifi payless and watch football, listen to music and have a drink. There are also markets twice a week, on wednesday and sunday, you can find there few nice souvenirs. Very close, cca 10min by car, is probably the biggest attraction of the island for kids and also adults - zoo+botanic garden+ camel safari. We recommed this destination and fuerte mainly for people, who love to enjoy the beauty of nature, to rest in quiet from everyday hurry life.

Lovely resort

Costa Calma is definitely the place to go if you want a nice relaxing beach holiday. The beach is fantastic and lovely to walk along. Not much in the resort in the way of bars, nightclubs etc, limited shops but that only adds to its appeal.

Beautiful beaches wind is guaranteed for surfers or kitesurfers...

As a the name tells it is a calm place in comparison to the north. Costa Calma is ideal for families or couples who love to enjoy a little bit of peace away from the stress of the weekdays. There is not too much entertainment around, but if someone likes the nightlife, they should go to the north like to Corralejo, which is more popular and livelier.

Relaxing beaches

This is a fairly laid back, quiet resort (it was in October 2018 anyway!) and there were plenty of sunbeds and parasols available on the main beach. There's no actual promenade on the seashore but there are two good beach bars/restaurants. The resort appears to be geared up to cater for hotel clients. In my opinion, it compared favourably with Costa Caleta and Corralejo for its beaches.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Calm, clear, warm sea, ideal for young children.

Soulless but perfectly pleasant

Perfectly nice as a base but car is vital so can get out and see more of the island. Not a place to go if you are looking for large choice of restaurants/bars/nightclubs. Resort is mainly hotels. One of the best beaches on the island.

Costa Calma offers the best beach in Europe but little else. Always go all inclusive. If its a lively resort you want then go to Ibiza. This is a place to relax and tan.Sit back and tune in turn on and drop out.
