A great place to stay, still a little spanish

A wonderful resort in the North of Tenerife. It has everything for families to the solo traveller. Good clean beaches, a fantasic lido, for swimming for those who do not like the beach, plenty of shops and many safe places to walk. A fantastic bus service links you to the rest of the Island including the resorts in the South, Santa Cruz, the forests and the amazing Mount Teide to name a few. I have been going for many years and still find different things to do.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Pretty town

In the middle of May it was quite quiet. The weather was not up to their usual standard although it was warm and dry in comparison to England. Good bus service and reasonably priced taxis.

A Week in the sun

A Great town with a good 7 swimming pool lido, Loro Park which has lots to see a great day out for all ages, lots of bars and restaruants in and around the old harbour, no drunken yobs about, plenty of places to visit around the Island, Mascar is a must and atrip up to the top of Teide, its a pity no airlines fly into the northern airport from the UK, so the downside is a 1 hour transfer from the southern airport, but its worth it

The best thing about my stay was ...

The old town centre

We have been visiting Puerto De La Cruz for the past 10 years over the Xmas & New Year period. Is a fantastic place for families. Great restuarants, bars, shopping facilities & beaches. The Lido is a great place for all to sunbath and swim in the various pools. Lora Park is a fantastic day out. Would highly recommend anyone to visit this part of the Island.

A real laid back place

Been coming here since 1998, I just fell in love with the place, never thought places like this existed. Its so natural all you need and at a pace that’s rush free, nice eating places (all price ranges) bars for all tastes, friendly people, "yes" even the bus drivers, and that weather warm and warm all year. Plenty of families with preteen kids all places are family friendly (I some how think most teen would not like it).

Best for mature travellers

As it's in the North of Tenerife, the countryside is far more interesting, lush and green than the dry arid South. It's not for the "bucket and spade" followers of the Blackpool/ Benidorm type of holiday, so less family friendly than the South. It's lively, but in a more sedate, refined way more appropriate for the more mature holidaymaker. So if you're after a pretty Canarian coastal town, more suitable for "adults only", with sunshine in the Winter, Puerto is for you.

The best thing about my stay was ...
