Varadero is the best resort to go to in Cuba

I thought this resort was most central and had everything you needed from Beach to shopping to hotels to local houses so you can get a feel of cuban lives. The beach was absolutely beautiful and when I say the water was clear, I mean it was clear, you could see your feet! The other places like Cayo Coco are islands and only have hotels and nothing outside so a bit boring in my view but each to there own. Havana a bit dirty looking like fume polluted but again it's the city and it depends on what you are looking for in Cuba. I wanted a beach holiday but wanted to also feel I could travel about freely and safely and I felt both. Cubans are lovely friendly people.

Varadero - good for sun, but that's not real Cuba

Varadero with its perfect beaches is lovely for sun-seekers. Although this is not real Cuba. For relaxation and sun it's just great. At the moment there are much more shops, restaurants and more private businesses allowed, so town is shining.
