Sidari Holidays & Hotels

Hotels in Sidari

Sidari offers a wide variety of accommodation, from beach-front, cheap  self-catering hotels to peaceful 4-star villas away from the main tourist areas. Holidaymakers travel to this pretty Greek village year after year, for its buzzing nightlife and beautiful beaches. Sidari beach is regarded as one of the best beaches in Corfu, with its shallow waters and stunning sea views.

This popular resort on the north coast of Corfu has something for everyone, with its cocktail bars, clubs, late night shopping and water parks. It's the perfect getaway for families and couples wanting to relax in the sun, with everything on their doorstep.

Where to stay

Sidari Beach

If you are looking to be right in the middle of the action during your holiday, surrounded by live music, karaoke and traditional dancing, then a hotel at Sidari beach is the spot for you. Staying in close proximity to Corfu’s most loved beach definitely has some benefits - starting with gorgeous sea views and easy access to the free sun loungers and beach amenities. At any time of the day or evening, there are hundreds of cafes, pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy both British and Greek cuisine.

Canal D Amour

Arguably the star attraction of Sidari! This romantic beach resort and its impressive rock formations will not disappoint. Here you can relax in true Mediterranean style with Canal D Amours array of gorgeous accommodation, bustling nightlife and traditional cuisine. If you’re interested in trying out some water sports, this is the spot for you with activities ranging from gentle snorkelling to more adventurous sea diving. With its crystalline waters and charming sandstone landscapes, it's hard not to fall in love with the romantic setting that Canal D Amour provides.

Peroulades

For those seeking somewhere slightly more reclusive, you can find sanctuary in the small fishing village of Peroulades. Just a short walk from most of the villas and apartments available to hire is the infamous sunset beach, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Corfu’s coastline. They say that Perolades provides a tribute to how the island used to be, with its quiet beaches, traditional food and quaint tavernas. It's the perfect place to unwind and work on your tan and enjoy a relaxed summer holiday.

What to see

This popular tourist destination caters for all ages and groups. For the sun worshippers, there is a variety of beautiful beaches to lay upon and bask in the glorious weather. For couples looking to get away from it all, there are the surrounding villages with their picturesque scenery and green landscapes. For the kids, the fun never ends with Sidari’s fantastic waterpark and blue-flag status beaches!

Sidari’s mixture of stunning nature and booming nightlife are a match made in heaven. You can swim in the crystal blue waters of Canal D Amour, and dance the night away on Sidari Beach. The charm of the whole island can be experienced on one of the many boating excursions available. The shops are open until late as are the restaurants and bars. Alternatively, you can always kick back with a cocktail and watch the sun go down on sunset beach whilst enjoying some fresh seafood, traditional Greek style.

For those craving history and culture, there is the 13th century monastery in the neighboring town of Paleokastritsa which is worth a visit. Upon paying a visit to Canal D Amour you can learn all about their ancient folklore, which may leave you falling head over heels in love.

Nightlife

Although Sidari is not the largest resort in Corfu, its nightlife is anything but small. There are shops open until late selling local crafts, cakes and ice creams, making an evening stroll along the promenade enjoyable for all the family. Every night, tourists flock to the local bars to enjoy live music and entertainment. The town is renowned for its karaoke bars and traditional greek dancing, especially in the more touristy areas around Sidari beach. For those who prefer a more laid back setting, there are plenty of relaxing bars you can sit with a gin and tonic and watch the world go by.

If you're partial to a kebab on the way home after a night on the town, then you are in for a treat! Sidari’s kebab stalls and shops are open until the early hours, selling what could possibly be the best kebab you have ever tasted in your life.

What to eat

Sidari is all about food! Everywhere you turn there are Greek tavernas, restaurants and cafes with their gorgeous aromas spilling out onto the streets. You can enjoy fresh salads and homemade pizzas as well as steaks, pastas and burgers. You can even start the day with a traditional full English breakfast!

If you love to indulge in the cultural delicacies of the area whilst on holiday, then look no further! In Sidari you can enjoy the pleasures of delicious Greek cuisine at The Greek Village Restaurant, The Family or the 50/50 Greek Taverna - and that's only to name a few. There will be ample opportunities to explore the local culture through stunning, traditionally cooked Greek food at hundreds of high quality local eateries. Sidari is also a hotspot for fresh seafood, cooked with love and that fabulous Greek twist!

Shopping

Whether you are on the hunt for some classic holiday souvenirs or just the basic essentials to take home to your villa, Sidari has got you covered. There are many supermarkets located all around the area, as well as local shops and stalls if you're looking for something more authentic. Be sure to check out some of the charming boutiques and tourist shops. They sell local produce as well as trinkets and toys for very affordable prices which can make lovely gifts for friends and family back home. They are open late so you can always pay them a last minute visit before you head to the airport.

Sidari is amazing

This is our 7th time at Sidari over about 15 years and it is just as wonderful now as ever. A few things have had to close but that's understandable because of what the Country is going through at the moment. I do believe it will come back. The beaches are the best on the island. So romantic too if that's what you want.

A very picturesque Place

Sidari is a mixture from the open coast line to the very lush green backdrop of the hills. Not a single tower block in site. May is quieter than the height of the season, so nice if you are not into loud clubbing scenes. There are loads of lovely walks and secluded bays. Plenty of tavernas to stop and while away the hours in the heat of the day. The greek laid back life is simply a wonderful.

Something for everyone.

Sidari is predominately a tourist resort but it is an excellent place to travel on a budget and you can find exactly what you are looking for. You can still experience tradiational Greek food and entertainment. You can relax in the Greek countryside. All of the pools are free so you don't have to use your hotel pool if you fancy a change. The beaches are clean and the views are amazing. The only problem as with the whold of Greece are mosquitos. Make sure you take plenty of repellent and you won't suffer!

The best thing about my stay was ...

Great resort for everything you want to do

Sidari is a great resort for all kinds of entertainment. You cand find nice and quiet tavernas or loud ones with shows and karaoke or clubs in the center of Sidari where the nightlife is. Many distractions on the beach also from rental of boats to parasailing and skijets. The prices in Sidari are reasonable and quite low compared to other resorts on the island, like Paleokastritsa. On the downside I think there are too many english style pubs with english food and english football matches. It should be a resort for tourists not for english tourists and their need for football. The restaurant Three Little Pigs offers great greek nights with fire dancing, a must see greek spectacle. The Canal D'Amour offers great views with narrow bays to dive in.

The best thing about my stay was ...

A resort that has it all.

QUET AND PEACEFUL

Quiet little village, with a strip just a short walk away with lively pubs and restaurants, we wasn't impressed with the beach but found some lovely little coves nearby with little sandy beaches. Everyone was welcoming and found some very nice eateries
