Fantastic hotel, wrong location

St Julians is a mixture of the quiet (St Georges Bay and Spinola Bay) and the extremely lively (Paceville) We was very disappointed with Paceville as there is rubbish all over the streets, hence the unpleasant smell, on one evening we stopped off at Burger King on the way home and was dumbfounded by the poor standards of cleanliness in the toilets, dirty toilet paper all over the place and vulgar smell, at this point i was not going to even chance the standards of food and walked out and went to Macdonalds instead, that was totally the opposite, very clean however service extremely slow and teenagers just pushing in all the time which totally frustrated me but this was how it is in the whole of paceville, rude teenagers that need some manners. Spinola bay was lovely as was St Georges bay.

St Julian's is a great location with pretty bay

We have just returned from a 4 day trip and loved St.Julians bay. We walked to Sliema which is 1.2 miles, and then got the water taxi to Valletta which cost €2.80 return. There is a great bus service where you can go anywhere in the island for €1.50 (and free return is within a 2 hour period) . Lots of great bars and restaurants, Evan a Macdonalds . We ate 3 of the nights at an Italian restaurant called Piccolo Padre, which was fantastic food and good value prices, with lovely views over the bay . House wine costs €11, pizza average €10, beautiful lamb €16.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Views with lots of lovely bars and restaurants, and central location

This area in Malta is great, it is full of restaurants and eating out is fairly cheap. The supermarket is a 10min walk and you can access all buses really easily. There is an area called Paciville really close by where all the wine bars and nightclubs are located, but there is never any trouble and you cannot hear any noises from the hotel.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Easy access to restaurants and buses and lovely roads to walk around at night if you fancy.
