Loved Agadir

I absolutely LOVED Agadir, I travelled solo as a woman in my late 20’s and I can honestly say that it was the best holiday I went on. It was hot, they have beautiful beaches, beautiful places and people.

Having read the previous revues of Agadir, I wonder what people want from a holiday destination. Morocco is a Muslim country, so there won't be lots of pubs and wine bars. There is however a beautiful beach walk and many resataurants and cafes. There are of course street traders and they are annoying, but they are annoying in other places as well. The Moroccan people are friendly (except when behind the wheel - a bit like English drivers really)

A real difference!

We stayed in Agadir for 11 nights in March 2018. The weather was nice - 20-22 degrees. The wind was present as well on most of the days, but just a small breeze, nothing major. Rained for 1 day, not to bad as we had 11 nights. We tried to visit a few places, the souk - something you want to see, we rented a car and drove outside the city, not much to see. the seaside roads are nice. The beach is nice, long and with many shops/restaurants on it. There are loads of hotels on the beach, that are nice to stay in. Agadir is a nice touristic city and we didn't have any issues, all the locals are nice. We had a great stay. Would probably come back in a few years.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Nice long beach!

A little rundown in places and locals quite 'poor'/

A lovelt spot with fantastic beach. Not really the place to be wondering the streets but an excellent taxi service. Don't be afraid to haggle with the drivers, they expect it.

Great Beach

Beach is great, however in May it was slighlty windy despite the sunshine, found that the evenings could be slighlty boring as not much apart from a few clubs etc, definetly an up and coming tourist area. The eateries on beach front are good, however slighlty pricey, cheaper places can be found within comfortable walking distance, food quality high in all places visited. Defo go again.

Agadir is grand in the resort a bit of a culture shock on arrival

It is so worth a try in Agadir, the only downfall in the Airport. The queues are a nightmare for Passport Control with no line up system so its a free for all to get to the desk. Not fair on those like myself who turn take........ Go for the experince it is a great chenge from other sun destinations and don't believe all you hear go and see for yourself.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The hotel choice, the weather, the fab service and great value.

short visit but nothing special

We only stayed for 4days and didnt do alot other than walk down the sea front after breakfast, lunch and dinner as there didnt seem to be anything else to do, from speaking to others they went on excursions most days which I wish we would of. Lots of shops selling exactly the same with pushy shop owners wanting you to go in everyone and got very offended, a little agressive should we say no.

not the true morocco

a purpose built resort with nice beach and clean promenade. taxies are cheap and there is an excellent souke which would take a couple of days to cover. Eating out can be reasonably priced if away from tourist areas and beachfront and portions are very generous. Chips seem to be served with everything.

The best thing about my stay was ...

good weather most of the year.
