What you need to know about Seychelles

Ian Fleming visited the island in 1958 to look for inspiration for his novel. Bird Island is home to the heaviest living land tortoise in the wild, called Esmeralda that weighs 670 pounds. It is believed that Moyenne Island, has a buried treasure, but no one dares to approach it because they think the island is haunted by a spirit that is guarding it. The Seychelles was once a pirate hideout, in particular Anse Forbans (Pirate’s Cove) on Mahé and Côte d’Oron Praslin.
