Very long in length, very spanish, best tapas anywhere in Spain

This is a very long resort with three main sections, You really need to experience all of it to get the best feel for roquetas. Do not stay in the touristy area or you will miss the real spain. Flies are a major problem in summer - it is not possible to eat outside at all whilst it is bright.

Relaxing place for a holiday, ideal for long walks along the beach

Plenty of bars and restaurants, small funfair for the children, little tourist train showing some of the sorounding area. The beach is shingle rather than sand and little hard on the feet, the sea is also quite deep straight away so not ideal with very little ones.

The best thing about my stay was ...

very flat so ideal if you like a long stroll along the beach

Very quiet

was not expecting Costa del Sol or Costsa Blanca but found this to be an extremely dull resort. Plenty of excellent tapas bars but very few tourists here. No nightlife could be found just lots of empty bars, very little shopping, stayed in the Serena beach area Hotel Fenix family, jumped on a bus and went exploring but nothing to see, and so very windy

The best thing about my stay was ...

cheap tapas of excellent standard

2/10 Okay
