Holidays and hotels San Antonio Town

Hotels in San Antonio Town

A hot spot for those serious about sun, sea and parties, accommodation in Spanish resort of San Antonio Town ranges from cheap, modest rooms to party hotels and stylish high-end suites. Allowing guests to make the most of the warm weather during their holiday, many of the hotels feature their own on-site swimming pools - or, at the very least, quick and easy access to the town’s stretch of sandy beach!

Located on the west coast of Ibiza, San Antonio Town comes to life in the summer with long sunny days and lively after dark entertainment. Temperatures peak between May and October, offering a long summer for partying, relaxing and extreme water sports. With so much to do in one small corner of Ibiza, it’s no wonder you’ve got your heart set on San Antonio Town!

Where to stay

Centre of San Antonio Town

If it’s the heart of the action you want, then the centre of San Antonio Town is where you’ll want to holiday. This area is home to dozens of affordable hostels, apartments and mid-budget hotels, giving quick and easy access to the bars, clubs and restaurants that the town is well known for. It’s not the quietest place to stay in town, but you can be sure to always be on the doorstep of a party.

Cala Gració

Located just 2km north of the centre of San Antonio Town, Cala Gració offers a quieter side to this bustling area. Hotels are set back a little from the beach, allowing a feeling of seclusion while you soak up the sun’s rays. Cala Gració has a modest number of holiday attractions, but the close proximity to San Antonio Town means you’re able to dip in and out of the town’s hustle and bustle as much - or as little - as you like.

Av. Sant Agustí

This long stretch of road leads holidaymakers out of the centre of San Antonio Town and towards a number of popular nearby beaches. Set off this road are a myriad of stylish boutiques, high-end apartments and luxury suites - perfect for those who want to embrace the vibe of San Antonio Town from a distance.

What to see

While famed for its nightlife, San Antonio Town also has lots to offer during the day. Adrenaline junkies can lap up the extreme activities at Slingshot Ibiza Amusement Park, where the ride hurls you into the air at speeds of 160km an hour. Also nearby are Ibiza Karting San Antonio and Ocean Mania, an inflatable obstacle course located 50 metres out from the coast. Bounce, swing and slide your way to the finishing line, or face an early exit with a plunge into the sea. Of course, the town is also home to a number of water sports, including parasailing, waterskiing and stand up paddleboarding. In between extreme sports and bouts of lounging on one of the many beaches dotted around San Antonio Town, be sure to also check out Aquarium Cap Blanc, a natural aquarium in an underground cavern that showcases the various marine species of Ibiza.

Few places in Ibiza compare to San Antonio Town when it comes to its colourful nightlife. The Sunset strip is a busy stretch along the waterfront that is home to many of the area’s bars and cafes, many of which feature world-class DJs blaring tunes out into the night, and a must see whilst holidaying here. As the name suggests, it’s also one of the best spots in town for catching the striking sunsets each evening. Less than a 10-minute walk away is the West End, which features bars, pubs and nightclubs that stay open until the very early hours of the morning.

What to eat

San Antonio Town is home to a selection of international restaurant chains and independent cafes. Unsurprisingly, given its prime Mediterranean location, the local fare is made up predominantly of seafood, with Spanish and Italian influences evident across menus. Traditional Ibizan dishes include Parrillada de Pescado, a mixed seafood grilled served in beachside restaurants, typically made up of whatever fish is caught that day, and zarzuela de mariscos, a classic seafood stew. For something sweet, round off meals with Greixonera, a scrumptious dessert that’s made from leftover pastries or bread.

Holiday souvenir shops line the streets in San Antonio, giving plenty of opportunities to pick up trinkets for family and friends back home. For shopping with a twist, though, check out the Gorilla Hippy Market, held from 10am till midnight every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday during the peak season. So called for the large statue of a gorilla that looms over the stalls, the market is where you’ll be able to sample local food and drink in between picking up unique crafts, homemade gifts and quirky souvenirs.

Ibiza needs no introduction! Just how I remembered it!

San Antonio is as it was 15 years ago, lively and anything goes! I'd never been to the sunset bars but did sample them this time. Savanaha's was the perfect setting for a fabulous meal and hen party celebration. Very cool and chic with big white leather sofa's to sip the gorgeous cocktails. This bar was very reasonably priced and the staff were fabulous. The food was fantastic and well timed. It was a perfect sunset and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. The staff gave us complimentary fizz (we did spend a lot) and a few shots to set the party flowing. Its a must to dine and sample the fantastic cocktails, I recommend the strawberry mojito and the strawberry daiquiri! San Antonio will always be the coolest party paradise no matter whether your in your teens, twenties, thirties and beyond.

Can't beat it!

San Antonio is great! lots of nice bars and restaurants around, especially in the day time when everything is quiet. At night you can head to the West End where it is typically holiday bars and pubs or head along to Cafe Mambo area where it is gorgeous to sit and watch the sunset with a nice cocktail! Beaches are ok, not as busy as most would expect for being so central - places to rent loungers etc Easy enough to get around to other areas of ibiza with the bus station being very central as well.
