Karon Hotels and Apartments
Karon Beach really is a piece of paradise. The resort is very lengthy and the beach runs for about 5km so you’re certain to find a private spot! The beach is in fact best suited to visitors who enjoy their privacy as parts of the beach frequently remain unoccupied walk away from the main tourist spots and you really will feel like you’re on your own personal desert island paradise!
Got your eye on something?
Shopping in Thailand is a must for any bargain hunter, the main shopping area in Karon is in the Karon circle area, and the area can be recognized by the as there are sculptures of workers in the centre of this area commemorating the old tin workers. In this area you will find a great number of fake designer goods including bags, watches and shoes. A good tip for a bargain is to visit the KT Optic, prescription glasses can be bought for a fraction of the cost that they can in the UK and computerized eye examinations are also complimentary. For guests who enjoy to haggle why not visit the Karon Bazaar, a huge marquee that literally sells everything! Sellers do not expect you to pay the price on the tag so make sure you’re ready to barter.
It’s a Kind of Magic!
Karon is a good choice for those looking for a resort with some nightlife but nothing as hectic and as flamboyant as a night-out in Patong. The resort is sometimes referred to as “Patong’s little sister”. A good place to start an evening out is at Clapton Bar and Magic Bar; both bars feature a similar atmosphere, loud music, cheap drinks and friendly hostesses. If you are fancying a break from the Thai hostesses however why not head down to the obligatory Irish bar Angus & Arfur O'Tool's, serving up all the ales you’d expect at home and also the chance to catch up on sports.
