Gumbet - quality place, if you can say no!

Gumbet is a wonderful place, our second visit. lovely beach, with sunbeds through the day (buy a drink, get free sun lounger), that turn into tabled area for evening meals on the beach, quite romantic. Dolmus run every few mins at 2.50tl per person, cheap as chips! Some bars are quite expensive, with pushy people trying to entice you in (same as most countires these days), usually a polite no works, or a blatent lie! many bars offer cheap drink deals, and the food is delicious! Its also a 10 minute ride into Bodrum, the busier part (also more expensive, but lively and fun as well, with some bargains to be had) If you go into Bodrum, and like Kebab, you HAVE to try the Gayicki, 2 mins walk from the dolmus bus centre. DELICIOUS food, and lovely staff, and very reasonable as well all in all, highly recommended

The best thing about my stay was ...

All of it!

Gumbet is a convenient place to stay a good compromise for resort, access to beaches and other nearby resorts and night life in Gumbet and Bodrum

Perhaps now an overgrown sprawling concentration of junk shops, hotels, bars and noisy clubs but aimed at young clientel but something for everyone. Better more up market resorts elsewhere but a good compromise resort where alot of day life and night life is within easy reach. Turkey not cheap for the Brits as it used to be (thank you David Cameron for devalueing our living standards so much)
