Superb shopping, and great restaurants

The best way to see the city is from one of the open-top bus tours that operate from George Square. The architecture is fantastic. A must-see is the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery (free, although donations are welcome), and the Science Centre is a great way to entertain kids. Adults will love the cafe culture and bars, and there are many great restaurants to choose from.

just love it!

Lots of pubs that have live bands on favourites are The Scotia Bar, The Victoria and The Clutha Vaults which are all very close together so you can take your pick of different types of music on offer. The latter 2 share a joint beer garden. Lots of the musuems have free entry including MOMA, Kelvingrove, Burrell Collection, Peoples Palace and are all great for a visit. Very handy to pay a visit to Loch Lomond - Luss is so beautiful. The House for an Art Lover (and Hill House in nearby Helesnburgh) is a must for those who like Rennie Mackintosh.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Everyone is always ready for a chat with you!
