"What a FABULOUS find"

Hotel Anna, Prague 2. What a fantastic find, one of those little delights that turn up every so often. The hotel is situated in a tree lined residential street, there is also a couple of bar/restaurants and a mini-market, open 14 hours a day, along the street.. If you are arriving from the airport by public transport it's very easy, outside the airport terminal catch the 119 bus to Dejvicka metro station (its the last stop) this journey takes about 20 minutes, you can get tickets inside the airport terminal from the Prague tourist desk, then take the metro (Line A) 6 stops to Namesti Miru station, takes around 12 minutes, then using the Francouzska exit walk up the street and the third on the left is Budecska where the hotel is situated, just before you enter the street you will see a tram stop on the right, you can catch the 22 tram from here which takes you across town, and the river, and up towards Prague Castle, the hotel is very central with easy access to all the sites, walking to the Old Town square is around 15 minutes. The hotel itself is a delight, you walk up the stairs to a small reception area, but looking around you just get the feeling that this is a very tastefully decorated Art Nouveau hotel and a well run hotel. Breakfast is served in the conservatory just pass reception, with a small terrace area around the conservatory for warmer days, it's a continental style breakfast but a good selection. My room was painted in a soft duck egg blue with matt white trim, a large double bed, direct international dialling telephone , clock radio, television which has the usual Czech channels along with, French, German, CNN, BBC World news and Sky news (live UK edition). The furniture was in a dark pine and the bathroom was a good sized fully tiled modern bathroom. All in all very nicely done. The staff and the service that they gave was just excellent, which I find you only get from privately owned and run hotels, simply they still care about the customer, similar to the Homeros Pension I stayed at in Selcuk (Ephesus) Turkey. Overall this hotel is excellent if I had to sum it up in one word it would be simply............. CHARMING ! Chris Leavy. Independent Traveller with 3 Credits in The Rough Guide Travel Books. Hotel Anna - A gem of a find

This is our third stay at Hoetl Anna, Prague. Hotel Anna is a charming hotel, just about a twenty minute walk from Wenscelas Square, in a quiet residential area of Prague City.

The hotel is very clean and has a certain quaintness about it, hence, the reason why we have stayed here three times.

We had friends who came to stay with us in Hotel Anna this time and they were very impressed with the hotel. The staff in Hotel Anna are always extremely friendly and efficient.

Hotel Anna is a gem of a find and when visiting Prague I will always stay here.

Review of 'ANNA'

We stayed in the annexe of this hotel. Although this is a couple of streets away from the main hotel we did not find it an inconvenience having to walk there for breakfast. We found the accommodation very good and being where we were it was very quiet. The cleanliness was of a very high standard, the breakfast was good and plentiful and we certainly could find nothing to complain about. If going to Prague again we would certainly book the Anna Hotel, although next time we might try to book into the hotel as this looked very nice.
