10/10 Amazing

28 May 2016

A happy 9 nights

This was a return visit to Nesrine. I love Tunisia but given the UK government advice it is harder to visit. So I choose to return to Nesrine where I know and trust the staff to take good care during the holiday. And this again was the case. Such a warm welcome back from all ... reception, bar, restaurant, animation and the cleaner. Throughout the stay I found staff attentive and friendly and continually working hard to keep guests happy. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Not at one point did I feel unsafe while in Tunisia, at Nesrine, on the beach or out on day trips. Security is clearly present. The hotel gets mixed reviews. I know that there are more luxurious hotels in the area but you have to pay more for these. I find that Nesrine offers value for money. The hotel rates are very reasonable, so although there might not be the most modern touches, it's still a lovely environment for the money you pay. The gardens are particularly stunning and so well cared for. My room was lovely, well kept, the cleaner frequently made sure I was happy. I enjoyed the lazy days at the pool and beach where the bar staff came to make sure people were OK for drinks and having a joke and a chat. The evenings were grand too. The waiters were quick to serve drinks, remembering what I liked as did the barman!! Animation had a tough job with the small audience but they had us laughing every night with energetic performances and had us up dancing too!! Reception are great, clearly caring that guests are having a good time, happily responding to requests, such as the Chef of reception and Anis the Cashier tracking down my lost suitcase at the airport and Wided managing to print off my check in confirmation from my phone!! The food and alcohol choices are good. I usually find several things to my taste which I enjoy. The salads and desserts are amazing. Snacks are available throughout the day too so if you miss a meal then you won't go hungry. Occasionally I had a meal that I don't enjoy but that's half the fun trying new things. If I want to stick to food I normally eat then I would stay at home!! When there was a problem in my room the reception arranged for the repair. Am Taher from repairation arrived quickly and fixed the problem in no time. Thanks again to all at Nesrine for making this another memorable and happy holiday.

The best thing about my stay was...

The friendly staff

Feels like home from home

I am a regular visitor to Nesrine sometimes with friends sometimes solo. The staff know me well and great me with warmth and care. There is nothing I want for here. The staff always check I smok and happy, they remember what I like, nothing feels like too much trouble. The hotel is kept clean and the cleaning staff always have a smile. The food is varied even when the hotel is quiet. I always find food I enjoy and sometimes good that's not to my taste but that comes with variety not everyone likes everything. I felt very safe. The hotel is a secured site and the security were very much visible.

The best thing about my stay was...

The staff, without a doubt. Friendly, approachable, helpful. Always quick to smile and laugh.

Almost excellent hotel

I could find very little fault with the Nesrine Hotel, our room was very good, had all we needed in it, the pool was excellent and the staff both for the pool and the bar and waiters were very friendly and attentive and offered excellent service, there is a lovely flower covered walkway that takes you to the private beach where we had no trouble getting a sunbed on any day, there is a beach bar and restaurant serving drinks all day and into the night, if you are at the beach there is lunch provided at the restaurant, in the form of a buffet, so no need to return to the hotel. We also found that the staff are very helpful and honest and will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. The food could be slightly better, but there was always something I could eat, but they could do with providing things like chips and ice cream more often on the menu especially for the children, I liked this hotel that much that I am planning on returning next year all going well.

The best thing about my stay was...

The excellent service and the private beach.

Cheap and very cheerful

We booked this hotel on the back of other good reviews and we loved it. The staff are very friendly (including the cleaners), the entertainment staff are always happy and cheerful. There's entertainment every day which you can get involved with or just watch. The hotel has a big pool with 2 small children's pools and a short walk from a private beach. Good points: Staff are friendly and helpful Rooms cleaned daily - including fresh towels. Spacious rooms Bad points: Beach safety - warning flags not changed. Use your own initiative regarding the sea current. Make sure you get a receipt for your currency. When we tried to change back to Sterling we couldn't as the hotel didn't give us a receipt.

2/10 Okay

12 September 2012

absolutley awful!!!!!

We arrived to find out that we were not getting a room with a garden view, that the air conditioning did not work, the lift was broken and we had to use the staffs lift until that wasn't working for just over one day! Keeping in mind that we were only there for three days!!! The food was awful, the staff complascent and unhelpful! That includes the young owner who was entertaining 'young ladies'......... all in all I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay there if it was the last place in Hammamet!!!!

The best thing about my stay was...

you get what you pay for

hotel ok for couple weeks stay and to use as base to explore and sightsee, could do with being cleaned a bit more thoroughly, entertainment not up to much but the entertainment staff tried hard and gave it their all and were friendly and pleasant and tried to involve all guests, good enough choice of food if you like foreign but dont expect fry ups or steak pie or sausage and mash etc, again majority of waiting staff friendly and pleasant, alcoholic drinks very watered down so dont expect to get tipsy fast but local beer fine.

The best thing about my stay was...

price and friendly staff
