Much better than expected
KK sin, London
Frankly I was a bit worried before the trip because I'd read very poor reviews of this hotel. I almost wanted to change hotels, but my booking was non-refundable. However, everything turned out just fine. Facilities of the hotel were basic, but compensated by its friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect for tourists. I have no complaints.
The best thing about my stay was...The staff were all very friendly and helpful

the room we stayed were big, clean and comfortable. it was on the top floor, and we get to see the nice view from the top. the place was convenient. there's halal food on the way to the hotel. and the metro is not that far. the people working there are friendly.

HOTEL nice and clean, was in a good location for walking to most of the main attractions eg The Louvre, Notre Dame etc as it was about 20 minute walk to the river. Helpful reception and english speaking. 4 metro stations nearby. The negatives: too early breakfast: 8.30 am.

I've not long come back and i found that this hotel was all that you needed especially if you was going to be out and about most of the day. When we came you could tell it had been refirbiushed as you could smeel that 'new' smell, if that makes sense lol. The rooms where big enough for 3 people and spacious. The bathroom was gorgeous, very clesn, the only thing is the bath is quite small and there's no shower curtain. As for the breakfast - oh my god! it was pathetic. You got a hard roll and a criossant with a dairylea triangle, cheese slice in the packet and a pot of marmalade or jam. That came with orange juice and the most watery coffee ever! Also when we left for our flight at like 6:45 the breakfast was already out and ready when breakfast didn't start till 8. The lift is pretty small but cause there was only 3 of us it was alright. The maid we got on with lovely until the last day, she knocked on and none of us was ready so we ignored it and she knocked 10 minutes later and cause she doesnt want to leave once you let her in we just ignored it so we thought she may think we were asleep. When we saw her an hour later we said hello she looked and carried on when usually shes all over you. Then the cheeky git didnt clean our room or anything when we came back later no hoovering, we need some toilet roll and she didnt leave that - nothing. But apartt from that i'd recommend it.

Very nice and clean hotel, friendly staff, spotless bathroom. Only bad point was the breakfast- tiny croissant, and a roll, always hard, and really disgusting orange juice. But overall the hotel is the best you can get anywhere for this price, and has got very good location

Spacious ensuite rooms
I did not expect that the rooms would be that big and very good toilets. The breakfast was OK with a croissant and a bread roll with sweet orange juice and coffee. Helpful reception and english speaking. 4 metro stations nearby. The negatives: Very small lift (can fit only 2 people) and narrow stairs. The metro station is about .6 miles.

Just as they said

Yes...the reviews I had read before my visit just about got it right - clean(if a bit dingy in the corridors), comfortable, basic facilities, adequate breakfast(which is all any continental breakfast can aspire to) - and as for parking, I can't imagine why anybody ambitious of living a bit longer might be tempted to take a car into Paris, given the option. The location has character rather than celebrity but it is first class for access and your ten ticket "carnet" at about £9 puts the London Underground to shame considering the quality of the service. You cannot anywhere legislate for noise - if your neighbours are not civilised you will be kept awake in most hotels in most locations. I had no cause for complaint. Just a matter of luck. Look for the mini-market on your way to the Chateau d'Eau metro where you can buy your sandwich and bottle of fizz if you want to avoid being bankrupted at the cafs on the Rue de Rivoli or the Champs Elysees. I found staff at Reception ever-changing and ever-helpful. Unless you are exceptionally nervous about budget accommodation you should give this one a try.

Good Location and Price
The hotel was in a good location for walking to most of the main attractions eg The Louvre, Notre Dame etc as it was about 20 minute walk to the river. Try to avoid the Rue St Denis near this hotel as it is a bit dodgy due to its sex shops and prostitutes - day and night! Room was basic and clean, towels were changed every day. Reception staff warmed up to you once they realised you have a booking. Warning. Walls are paper thin so you can here everything from the other rooms around you. Its fine if you don't have anyone too noisy in the next room. However that said will probably use again and have recommended it to my mum.

I booked a twin room, the receptionst tried to give me a double. Also the hotel closes at 01.00 so you cannot return any later.

The hotel was very basic but made up for this with the location which is great if you like walking!. The room we had was clean and basic with your own bathroom. Basic breakfast which was good ( croissant and a roll, tea, coffee and juice). would stay here again for the price.
