Wouldn't bother again
Michael Walsh, Birmingham
Stayed all inclusive. Room was nice, but had to pay €30 for really poor WiFi. The food was ok, but it was practically the same stodge every day. Also, it mostly seemed to have Russian guests who seem really ignorant, grumpy and rude. One lady physically man-handled a friends child whilst they were playing in kids club. Some Russian guests actually told an employee that they were too fat to teach them aerobics. Vile. Drinks are too small too, just means you have to keep returning to the bar.
The best thing about my stay was...Staff were actually nice.

Will never stay there gain
Helen Jennings, Limassol, Cyprus
Just glad we already live in Cyprus because if we'd have travelled far from overseas to what greeted us I would have been devastated. We paid over €400 just for three nights to stay in an 'Executive Bungalow with sea view'. What we got was an old, shabby hut with no sea view, just the view of a hedge! There were cracks in the walls and plaster coming off. It was dirty and smelled like what I can only describe as a brick a brack shop. The TV only had one Russian channel, it was overcrowded with old shabby furniture, half the appliances didn't work and to top it off there were ants everywhere inside. On booking the room (online), I requested a cot, and even stated we have an 8 month old baby. It was obvious we would have a pushchair but they still put us as far away as possible from the main hotel, and the only way to the bungalow was down a load of steps (about 20 to be precise), so you can only imagine how difficult it was trying to get a big pushchair up and down all the while (plus I'm 5 months pregnant)!. Certainly not child friendly there. As soon as we saw the room we complained. Apparently there were no other rooms available, so we had no choice but to stay the night. The following day we were ready to pack up and go home but then all of a sudden they managed to find us another room (in the main hotel). Thing is, we'd only gone for 3 nights anyway, so the first two days were spent unpacking, packing back up, carting our stuff to the next room (porter wasn't called to help this time) moving and then unpacking again. We should have been relaxing but were doing far from that. The 'standard' hotel room we were given would have cost a lot less than the 'Executive' bungalow yet it was so much nicer at first glance. However, there were white stains all over the bed and on the chair in the room (I certainly have an idea what it was)! The sheets underneath were clean, so we removed the top and just used those to sleep under. The chair went out on the balcony! Overall, the hotel was poor. We went All Inclusive. The food wasn't up to much - everything was overloaded with salt! I am just so glad to be home now! Never again will I stay, nor recommend this hotel to anyone! The only nice thing about it was the hotel porter who was extremely helpful and pleasant.
The best thing about my stay was...Leaving!

FANTASTIC HOTEL - WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND
Karen Lawlor, LIVINGSTON
I booked this hotel through Alpharooms and was allocated an Executive Bungalow for 5 people (2 adults and 3 children). Read the reviews and was slightly apprehensive, however was delighted with what we found. Arrived at 8pm and was met by a friendly male receptionist, who was not interested in taking our money for the Safe Rental, and insisted we should pay later and not worry. He also advised us not to pay for the Fridge Rental until later. (We had a fridge freezer which we used for water and chocolate etc, which we were not charged for = BONUS). We were assisted by a porter and made our way down to the Bungalows which are down many stairs and face away from the hotel, onto the beach. On entering the bungalow, we were delighted at the sheer size. We had a double bedroom with loads of storage space (unusual for hotel rooms). 2 bathrooms - one with a jacuzzi bath and the other with a massage shower, a kitchen area with a kettle (scored as I had taken tea bags!!) and the livingroom area had a sofa bed and a camp bed where my children slept. There were 2 air condition systems and our patio doors looked on to a small garden with sun beds and table and chairs. At night time it was gorgeous to sit and hear the waves rolling in nearby. The maid service was fantastic with towels changed everyday and sheets every other day. The food was brilliant as was the staff. Very very friendly people, from all around the world. The drinks offered were of a fantastic variety - 3 types of beer, and various cocktails. The kids loved going to the bar themselves and ordering soft drinks. The other thing which I should mention is there is a free towel service - for a deposit of £10 Euros per towel, you can replace every day and use at the pool. Dont take a towel, it will save on your lugggage weight and laundy when you return home. On speaking to the staff they confirmed the hotel is being renovated into a 5 star hotel, which will open next year, and not an OAP Home. Our jacuzzi and shower were not working properly, and we had to ask 3 times for them to be repaired, however they were and my kids thought they were posh having a jacuzzi bath everynight!!!! Also the beach to the right of the hotel is a 10 minute walk and has lovely sand and great waves for surfing. The beach to the right is pebbly and not ideal for children. There's a hotel beach bar at the top of the latter beach which is like a mirage. It appears out of nowhere and is a godsend when temperatures are soaring and you desperately need a drink. If you want to hire a car, I would recommend the company across from the hotel, next to the bus stop. I think there name was AGE. We hired a small but adequate car for 3 days which cost only £105 Euros!! We visited the Troudos Mountains, Nicosia (very hot and 1 hour 45 mins drive!!) and lastly Polis, Licci and a gorgeous beach next to Aphropdite's Bath - gorgeous warm clear water with lots of fish. Also on the way back we visited Sterna Winery and bought 4 bottles of beautiful wine. Great to see a friendly family business doing well. I would definately recommend this hotel, and if you can afford it, splash out on an Executive Bungalow - its worth it.
The best thing about my stay was...Our Executive Bungalow

MARION MCLACHLAN, LIVERPOOL
STAYED AS PART OF WEEDING CELEBRATION FOR FRIENDS. STAFF WERE ALL EXCEPTIONALLY FRIENDLY & HELPFUL. NOT YOUR USUAL ALL INCLUSIVE SCRUM FOR DRINKS & FOOD. WAITRESS SERVICE WAS PARTICULARLY GOOD. ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND WELL MAINTAINED & CANNOT FAULT THE CLEANLINESS. BEACH TOWELS AN UNEXPECTED BONUS. PERHAPS ONE DOWNSIDE A LITTLE MORE CHOICE AT LUNCH WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE BUT QUALITY WAS GOOD.
The best thing about my stay was...APART FROM WEATHER IT WAS AN ALL ROUND ENJOYABLE & HASSLE FREE NO COMPLAINTS

We had a fantastic time!
Kate, Mikey + Emily Meiler, Chorley, Lancashire
We arrived at the hotel around 10.15pm and they checked us in quickly and a porter took our cases for us to the room. They had opened the restaurant and saved us some food, however we wern't really hungry, so went to have a quick look around and got a couple of drinks. The hotel is great for children uoto the age of 15. We have a 6 yr old and she had a fab time. The animation team are the best I have come across. They keep the kids entertained from 10.30am to 11pm. The kids club (age 4-8) is 10.30am - 12.30pm + 3pm - 5pm (except tuesdays) + 9.30pm to 10.45pm (mon, wed, thurs + fri). Big thanks to Nicole who ran the kids club, she was great. Special thanks to our waiters Nicholas and Ronny they were great (waiter service in the evening). The food in the hotel is very acceptable, I wouldn't rate breakfast + lunch as 4 star although it was good but nothing special. The evening meal was excellent, each night they cook specialities in additio to the buffett - such as roast pork (excellent), chicken breasts, special vegies, I am quite a fussy eater but there was always something I enjoyed. Snack are available all day inbetween dinning hours - Cheese toasties are great. The evening entertainment was quite good (did expect more for 4 star) however it was ok, bingo each night also (never won though) - it was good fun. Big 'hello' to all our friends that we met - Diane, Ian + the girls (lovely family - will see you soon), Sue, H, Courtney, Linda + Jim (great people - get Jim a cheese + ham toasty for god's sake - ha!) - also Andrea, Jamie + girls - really nice to meet you all. The hotel is a 10 min bus ride to paphos, lovely harbour and restaurants. The only thing that we dident like about the holiday was that there were too many foreign people - germans, russians, polish and we found some of them to be extremely rude. (but thats not the hotel's fault). I would recommend this hotel if you have young kids as said before the animation team are great - the rest of your holiday is what you make of it no matter where you go. All in all we had a fantastic holiday for 2 weeks at the Laura Beach - it's about what you make of it and we met some really good people and had such a laugh - it was fab! You will be singing one of the hotel's club songs in you sleep - 'Chocolata' was our fav!
The best thing about my stay was...The people we met, the animation team + the sunshine

Constable holiday 2009
Chris Constable, Sheffield
We very much enjoyed our holiday at The Laura Beach hotel. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and the rooms a little dated but clean and functional. The swimming pools were great the kids loved them, entertainment through the day was good and the mini disco was great for the kids in the evening. We stayed all inclusive and found the food to be of a high standard with sufficient choice. First time we had gone AI and after we got acustomed to the buffet style jockying for position we quite enjoyed the freedom. Drinks around the pool in the day was welcomed in the heat and in the evening the choice was good enough. We found the drinks quite strong due to good measures, no scrimping on the alcohol, the terrace entertainment in the evening was of high standard, something for everyone. The animation team responsible for the entertainment were fantastic. We will go back!
