not so great
Verna Drummond, Port Hope Ontario Canada
Our unit was very tired and not what we booked. People smoked cigars at the pool, and we had to leave the smell was so strong. Computers were down more than up. the meeting we attended was almost 4 hrs. not 1 hr as promised. Staff was friendly, but could only do what they were directed to do. house keeping very unorganized.
The best thing about my stay was...the quiet and warm weather

I will start with the positives which is that we are now at home and do not need to spend another night at the Liki Tiki. Although we came away as a family of three 2 adults 1 child, we soon found out that we are infact sharing an apartment with some uninvited guests and even after the room was fumigated we had to purchase our own roach spray and even found myself killing roaches at 4 in the morning aswell as fishing them out of the bath. The staff were very good at moving us to a fifth floor room from ground floor but we were constantly on roach watch and spraying all external doors on an evening as were found out on the internet roaches are nocturnal. The life guards around the pool were excellent however during our 14 night stay the pool was cleaned once and roaches were found in and around the pool. The pool area was dirty with a cotton bud and a chicken bone at the side for at least a week. Room size was excellent but dated and kitchen facilities a god send fot thoses who do not want to live off Wendys for a fortnight. If you are used to 4 star accomodation as we are, you will be very disappointed with this hotel as we think it barely reaches a 3 star. The price is cheap but do not be fooled by it because for a 14 night holiday to Florida you should really pay extra and get the standard you want. Never again Liki Tiki !!!!!!!!!
The best thing about my stay was...The slides at the pool were great for adults and children

just what we needed
Dave & Jan Wilson, Hemel Hempstead
Comfortable apartments, helpful and friendly staff, really home from home. A little off the beaten track if you want lively nightlife. We didn't, so it was ideal. Convenient for WalMart and SR 27 (for I-4 to Tampa).
The best thing about my stay was...Comfortable sitting room

We had a one bedroom apartment but it was impossible for the kids to sleep in the living room. The sofa bed was the pull out metal type, very flimsy and extremely uncomfortable. It sagged in the middle and the kids rolled together all the time, this type of bed is only suitable for occasional use, not for two kids for a fortnight. The other factor was the noise, the walls are paper thin and whent the people next door had their TV on it was just as loud as if we had ours on. You could hear every word they said and they were not being particularly loud, there is just no soundproofing at all. The huge fridge freezer is great but when running sounds like a car ticking over, not good when you are trying to sleep in the same room. We resorted to unpugging it at night. Another big hassle is the constant phone calls from resort staff, we had daily calls from the timeshare people in reception trying to persuade us to go to their functions, also daily calls from the resident DJ telling us what he was doing at the poolside and numerous calls from reception tellling us how to check out. We got really sick of all the pestering and constant messages.
The best thing about my stay was...Would have been fine for a couple using the bedroom

The rooms were plenty big enough for three adults and three kids. It was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. Can hardly wait to go back, in fact I am looking to book again in the next few weeks
The best thing about my stay was...Very close to Disney, need a car to get to international Drive

Liki Tiki review

Just back from a fantastic holiday in Orlando. We had a one bedroom apartment for our family of 4, which was clean and well maintained and near to one of the smaller pools which was open till midnight - ideal for chilling out after returning from Disney. We will definitely consider going again as value for money was excellent. Why go to a motel room when for only a little bit extra you can get a large self-catering apartment with plenty of space for a family. It is also worth noting that the points made by previous people about decor are being addressed as there was substantial works going on painting and upgrading buildings.

We have just spent 8 nights at Liki Tiki as part of our trip to Florida, and we found the facilty to be pretty good overall. We have been holidaying in Florida for many years now, and the accomodation is reasonable, in comparison to the other places we have stayed, having all the usual amenities you expect to find in a townhouse, but the decor is perhaps in need of a refresh. Service levels were ok, but we had to request a replacement toaster 3 times before it was dealt with, and the same for the safe, which was locked when we arrived, and took 3 requests to get someone around to open it for us. These were minor glitches though, and te staff were pleasant overall. The main advantage Liki Tiki has over other similar places is the water activities, which are great for kids, especially the 5-10 year olds, who will have a ball on the water slides etc. This makes it an easy day when hanging around the pool, as the kids have plenty to keep them occupied, and there are other 'standard' pools around the facility, for those that want a bit of peace and quiet. The fun pool is well marshalled by 3 or 4 lifeguards, so you also feel confident not having an eye on the kids 100% of the time. Overall, a 4 out of 5 rating from us, mainly due to the house we had looking a wee bit tired, especially compared to a lot of the newer places. We also stayed in a townhouse in Lake Berkeley as part of this trip, and their accomodation was much smarter/newer, as was Bahama bay, where we have also stayed. That said, we would strongly consider Liki Tiki again, as the number of activities on site balances against the slightly poorer accomodations. Location is fine, 1 mile from the end of the 192, so you have a 5 minute drive to hit the restaurants, but that can be said about most places in Kissimmee. we always have a car, so it isn't a problem, but I wouldn't fancy it if I was depending on buses/taxis. As I said, a few miles from where the action starts in terms of places to eat.

We are just back from a 4 week stay at this resort & this is our 2nd visit overall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a one bed apartment with full amenities - cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, jacuzzi, 2 TV's, wardrobes, dining table, balcony etc. The room was clean, bright & airy (could be doing with some minor upgrading/decorating) but was absolutley acceptable & more. Staff were friendly, helpful & accommodating. The grounds were gorgeous & very well maintained. It has 4 pools which included a small water park lagoon & tiki bar, pedal boats, fishing, hire bikes, tennis, basket ball, fitness gym, crazy golf & more.
A car is essential however there is a complimentary bus to Disney & Universal. There is a bus service but it would be a 5 min+ walk to it & it is poorly lit if walking at night & you would have to cross a busy road as well.
I would recommend this resort & fully intened to go back in the future.
