Pleasant stay but would not rate 4 star
Holly Wilks , Gloucestershire
We stayed here for 5 nights and the rooms were really spacious and clean. Bed comfy and great view of sea. Food was good but the toast machines were awful, have to put toast through 4 times to get it near toasted. I'd rate it more a 3 star plus overall, but you pay a good price and we did enjoy our stay. Bar area could do with more decor as it didn't seem to have much identity. Also you pay quite high prices for wifi and when we have stated all inclusive before at 4 star hotels in Cyprus it's included. Would go again to hotel but not for a luxary stay, more of a good value hotel. Reception staff very welcoming and quite pool area bar staff very good. One little thing about restaurant, leave one if you at the table if you nip to get any food as you come back if not to a cleared table despite if you left half or all your food on it. Had enjoyable time and get what you pay for.
The best thing about my stay was...Rooms

Brilliant Holiday at the Paf Sun
Norman Beacall, Wirral
We have been to the the Paf Sun 5 times before and always had a good holiday overall. We have had issues to deal with as you can have on any holidays, but not to much to spoil our time here. The hotel has a good range of food each day, theme nights which gives it some interest. ( Do like the fact that you dont have worry about finding a table, the staff take you to your table when you arrive for meal, take your drinks order. No fighting for a table when its busy.) The entertainment both day and night is very good. (Run by Thomas Cook team) The live enterainment until 11pm then music/dancing until 12mn, this where the reps encourage the teens and kids to get up and have a good dance around, to all those crazy dance songs you all know. There is a kids club which we used for my granddaughter, who had a great time. We were there when it was very busy and of a night when getting drinks there is a small queuing time, but they have 3 counters for serving them, the bar staff are very good at dealing with the busy bar times. Know doubt we will be there next year
The best thing about my stay was...Food was very good, the entertainment is brilliant. Value for money.

Holiday with issues
Norman Beacall, Wirral
We have been to this hotel 3 times now, and have had a great time on all occations. This time 26th May 2010 for 1 week, main issue is with the hotel management team, who to be honest seen to manage with a you and us attitude. We had 2 issues at the hotel, 1st we were told that we had to pay for air conditioning, which we had not done before, the receptionist went to seen the front desk manager, who just said they have to pay, because we had booked our room with Hotel Beds. I tried to speak with the manager later, but I was told she was not available. The 2nd issue was that my wife found, what looked like a metal drill in her dinner. She gave it to the waiter, who said he would give it to the chef, he did tell her to report it to reception, which she, and was told she would be connacted about it. She never heard from them. We spoke to the waiter 2 days after the incident, and he said the chef said it was a wooden skewer not metal. We decided not to bother seeing the management again, base on the fact they had made there decision.... WHATS THE POINT. In saying all this the non management staff at this hotel are great and we would go back again. Hoping that there are no issues with the management team.

I went to the Pafian Sun 5 years ago in May for my honeymoon. I fall into the mature couple category now, but was young then! The whole area was lovely, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are basic, but for us, they were perfectly adequate. We didn't spend much time in there. The restaurants were excellent with food in plentiful supply throughout the day, which was always lovely and fresh. There were plenty of sunbeds round the pool, but there was still the inevitable towel grab first thing! We got one every day we were there though, so it wasn't a problem. Holiday reps were very welcoming and kept us informed of excursions etc, and also provided lots of round the pool entertainment - pop quizzes etc - and took the kids off to play tennis/football etc, which was great (not that we had any with us, but it made it a bit more peaceful at times!!) The only minor downsides for me were that the hotel staff weren't particularly friendly - although they did their jobs well otherwise - and that the evening entertainment was a bit lacking. But you can always do other things can't you? Highly recommended. I would love to go back :o)
