Excelent hotel - excellent location

Stayed Friday 16th November - ideal base for Glasgow centre and Kings Theatre. Hotel, room and breakfast all excellent. Minor faults in ordering breakfast where we and several other tables had to attract waiters attention to order - would be dealt with easily with some in-hou training. Also irritation with 'feeding parking meters - but the hotel does have a deal with a car park a short distance away. Other than that 9/10 - and defnitie highly recommended and will return.

Good Hotel - Good People

As above, excellent breakfasts, great cocktails, helpful happy staff. Only downsides were a lack of decent lighting and no air con in an otherwise very clean and smart standard room

Lovely Hotel. Rubbish food

This is a really cool hotel with nice rooms and fancy layout BUT afraid the food is way below average. Dinner very poor and bland, breakfasst was £14.50 per head so expected class. Had the full breakfast and on the plate looked OK.... Bit in to the black pudding and got some sort of grissle, hoped this was a one off and tried again, ughh, same again. Put this to one side and tried the sausage......aaahhhhh...grissle. tried to work my way through the chargrilled bacon but not very nice. The large mushroom made me feel slighly sick. Left most on the plate and shuffled to one side as the girls serving were nice and was all a bit awkward. Cold breakfast was nice but anyone can present a cold buffet. Basically when I order breaky from a nice hotel I dont expect FAT, GRISSLE and STRINGY BITS on my plate. Sorry but thumbs WAAAAY down.. ALSO forgot to add : - all food is served in a bar which is OK at night but not in the morning at breakfast with all th alcohol in view.

Fantastic Stay

Only there for one night stay, wish it had been longer! Great hotel. Staff friendly, efficient and professional. We got there v early on the morning and they still managed to get us our room at 10am! Brilliant. Room was gorgeous. Materials were luxiourious and design was relaxing, so much so that we spent time relaxing in room, something we don't normally do! Best brekkie choice and taste we've had in the UK and the tasted superb. Would definately stay here again.

Very pleasant stay

Having read some negative reviews of the hotel on tripadvisor I was a bit unsure about staying at the Malmaison Glasgow but we got a great deal via alpharooms so decided to go for it anyway and were pleased we did. Room was fine - good size and clean. We appreciated the larger than usual sized toiletries. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, even checking us in for our return flight and printing our boarding cards. Food, particularly breakfast, was excellent and exceeded our expectations. My only very minor complaint was that the room was rather warm with no temperature control/air conditioning (I guess its not always needed in Scotland...) and after first night we found it was too noisy outside to sleep with the window open.

Nice Hotel, great location, Friendly staff

I stayed at thsi hotel from 17th - 19th March & found it a very good hotel. It is pretty well located for all shopping areas ( 10 minutes stroll ) & is close to the banking district, so pretty much convenient for all. It is also close to the airport shuttle bus stop, which is as quick & convenient as a taxi & only £4.50 one way as opposed to £20 ! The rooms were compact & a tad warm but very comfortable. Whilst the staff were extremely helpful, my one criticism would be the speed of service in the restaurant & bar areas apart from that id thoroughly recommend it & will staff at a Malmaison again

Terrible bed........

We have just spent the weekend at this hotel for my friends wedding and whilst the Hotel is in a good location, the food was lovely and I can't complain about the service the mattress on the other hand was something else!! In a hotel of this supposed calibre and obvious high price a really good nights sleep should be a given. The mattress in our room was so old and worn it sagged in the middle and caused my husband and I back pain. We wont be rushing back to a Malmaison and I'm sorry to say I can't recommend it either.

great hotel, room not up to scratch

Room very small, grubby and generally in nead of an overhall. Service, food and facilities all great shame about the room. Forgot to mention the floor boards must have been the squeakiest I have ever experienced!!
