Good Value for this priced hotel.

Stayed 13/01/2015 18/01/2015. Very good value for money large rooms little dated but clean and tidy staff friendly, taxi out side hotel help full honest and cheep just barter a little. Hotel restaurants little bit more expensive than out side but good fresh tasty food around £14 for the daily menu good value. It's not a 4 star European standard hotel but good by Morrocan standards would stay again.

The best thing about my stay was...

Quiet location but easy access to town

Nightmare

Please avoid this restaurant, unfriendly staff. Very dirty restaurant, one of the staff speaks English, went half board , serve same food daily which is recycled daily, we all ended up with food poisoning, the photos on this website are very deceiving they must be from the time when the hotel was first built, they claim to have air conditioning, the system is controlled by one unit and set at 24 degrees, we were sweating day and night for. 7 days, this hotel is not z. 4 star but a 2 star, our holidays were ruined , Avoid at all costs ,

Semiramis Hotel, Marrakech, August 2014, 2 separate stayes

Not the best hotel experience ever. AlphaRooms described the hotel as recently extensively renovated. Only a part of the hotel has undergone renovation, the rest remains slightly tatty. The price cannot be argued with, the gardens and pool were very good, our room was old and tired but adequate with all facilities in working order, if only just. Staff were obliging. The restaurant is expensive and serves poor quality. We found much better and cheaper meals outside. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area but the approach road is a shambles and filth piled everywhere. Not a good introduction to 5*. If you take breakfast, try to get down before 09.00 as after all hell breaks lose. They cater mainly for families, the buffet quickly becomes depleted and disorderly and you will find greedy people stuffing their bags with breakfast food for the picnic lunch or heaping mountains on their plates, then leaving much behind. There is a large percentage of Arabic people and unfortunately, they are not the tidiest whilst making plenty of noise. If you travel with children, you may have few complaints but a relaxing and peaceful hotel this ain't. From our balcony we had the splendid sight of an extended lower roof absolutely full of all sorts of rubbish. Bear in mind also, the hotel is in a suburban district called Semlalia, which is 40 minutes walk or a 15 minute taxi ride from the main centre of Marrakech, all in searing heat along noisy fume filled roads.

The best thing about my stay was...

Nothing was best, all acceptable average.

Unfriendly Staff and tired looking hotel!

I am not usually negative about hotels but this was hardly a 5 star hotel at best at 3. The Hotel and reception staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful, the approach to the hotel is dirty. The only positive thing about this hotel are the beautiful gardens which the gardners work so hard to keep them looking like that. The sun loungers were uncomfortable and hard with no cushions. The breakfast was adequate but the dinners were always the same and not very appetising. All in all I would avoid the hotel and not recommned it at all

Great staff, 4 star pool area & hotel grounds, 2/3 star rooms

The staff were really nice, friendly and polite! Even those who didnt speak much English tried their best with us which was a constrast to what I read in other reveiws. The rooms were decent, but the bathrooms could do with updating. The rooms were about 3 star whilst the bathrooms probably about 2 star. The dinner entertainment was really nice, althought dinner was not great (not sure if this had anything to do with the fact that it was ramadam). Dessert & fresh fruits was the best thing about dinner. Would reccomend this hotel for short breaks in marrakesh! Probably best to just do bed and breakfast tho

Quite and relaxing

This hotel was a little bit away from the new town and a little bit further from the old town. It was very quite and relaxed. staff were friendly and meals were good. more 4 star than 5 star. The spa is not worth mentioning, looked lovely but the treatments were disapointing. between the group we all has something different and was disappointing. the hotel closed everything at 11pm sharp, which ment lights and all were switched off and you would be left in the dark. It was a relaxing stay but i would recomment staying a little closer to the main areas.

The best thing about my stay was...

the bedrooms were very spacious and relaxing, plenty of staff.

Good all round hotel - away from the hustle and bustle

A good 3 star hotel away from town centre. Its not 5 star and hotels in Africa rarely are! Good breakfast buffet and a la carte in the evening. Rooms dated but very clean - and service good. All good staff despite mostly french speaking - only one bad experience all week. Nice pool area with loungers and towels a plenty. Taxi into the main square 30 MAD (£2.50) - don't forget to haggle. If you get this at a good price you cant go wrong. Brush up on your French - not just for the hotel staff but for everywhere in town too!

confortable stay

Very confortable hotel in a quiet area (Palmeraie). Nice rooms with large balconies. Stunning gardens and pool. Good food ( especially at breakfast). A bit far from the centre, but cheap taxi and also bus station on the main road in front of the hotel.
