Lovely staff, great budget option
Stef, Preston, UK
Stayed Mid May 2013 for a week. As we had a hire car we found it a benefit to be a little away from the front and enjoyed the quiet. It is a 10 min walk to the riverside eateries and town which was a great alternative to the touristy PdR. The staff were helpful and really chatty. Rooms basic but clean and great value for money if you dont mind being out of the 'resort'. In summer they offer free shuttle bus to the beach too.
The best thing about my stay was...The choice of places to eat

Very Pleasant Hotel
Graham Ross, Burrelton
Great hotel ,lot's packed into this 2* accommodation (very reasonable breakfast ,free air-con ,free wifi ,free shuttle bus to & from Portimao/Praia De Rocha beach) .Reception staff are very friendly & always willing to help & assist & rooms are cleaned everyday along with fresh towels :) .Only downfall is the actual location ,but as stated above a good bus service is laid on free of charge ,last bus back to hotel is 6pm & there after you are only a 4-5 euro taxi journey or a 20 minute walk .Highly recommended & will definitely use this hotel again :)
The best thing about my stay was...Peace & quiet ,cleanliness & staff

We stayed in mirachoro last year , everything as before clean rooms serviced every day , the hight of summer and we had the pool to ourself most of the time . only bad thing this year was they dont do full english breakfast , if you want you have to ask for which takes a while to arrive , dont know what was going on this year no clean tables allways having to clear dirty dishes from the last people that were at the table , having to ask for napkins , knife , fork , and even plates , some times no bread for toast and when you got it the small toaster had a line that would last for about 10 min . over all we liked the hotel again this year but the breakfast that was so good last year was very dissapointing this year , complained to Alex and next day there was a slight change but next day back to as bad as before.but we will probably stay agin next year .
The best thing about my stay was...clean room , friendly staff and private pool .

Friendly, helpful staff
Gill Ayres, West Midlands
Being a 2 star hotel we wondered what we were going to get. We were so pleasantly surprised. It was fantastic for the money and should be at least a 3*. Two pools, one indoor heated and possible to swim in 24 hours. Good sized rooms and good breakfast - we were expecting only continental but there was cooked available on request. Free wifi. We will be back!
The best thing about my stay was...The pools.

At least a 3 star
Tony Meredith, Derby
Just returned from a 2 night stay in the Mirachoro Sol hotel.Rooms were large, fresh towels daily, good breakfast with hot or cold food.If you want hot food just ask and they bring it to your table. Both indoor and outdoor pool, very friendly staff. We would stay there again. There's an excellent local restaurant within a few minutes walk but its not central its in an urbanisation but we knew that anyway and used local taxis.
The best thing about my stay was...Finding a hotel that exceeds expectation

Great for the money

My friend and I went for a short break (3 Days) from 30/03/2011 to 02/04/2011. We found the Mirachoro Sol to be basic but very clean and comfortable. There are signs that it has recently been re-decorated. We were not expecting it and thought it fantastic that even though we were only there for 3 days our beds and towels were changed everyday, possibly because it was very quiet which suited us, season not yet started really. We had a nice balcolny which looked out at the back over what looked like common land - we saw someone grazing goats on it! - Bathroom was nice with loads of hot water , again maybe as there was not many guests at the time. Breakfast was fine you could have something cooked if you wanted but there was lots of fresh & tinned fruit, yoghurts, 3 kinds of cereals, meat & cheese and bread/cakes/pastries and the like. They only do breakfast though so you have to find somewhere for an evening meal, we walked less than 5 minutes to a small local restaurant called (I think) La Quintihna and had great meals with excellent service at a very reasonable price. The staff were very nice and helpful, the bar seemed to be well stocked but we did not use the bar as we drank in the restaurant, as we were there. Part of the reason we chose the hotel was as it had an indoor pool, as we did not think the weather was going to be as nice at it was, it is a nice little pool and the twice we used it we were the only ones in it If there is one not so good point I would like to make it is there is not enough outside space, the hotel seems to be in a residential area which was fine, we did not have a problem with noise, the odd barking dog and squawking parrott!, but I have been to places where this is MUCH worse, but as it was pre-season the outside pool was not open, we went to try and de-stress and just wanted to sit in the sun and read etc. so we asked if we could take chairs out and sit on the grass infront of the hotel but we were not permitted to do so. We went to the Marina/beach by taxi and found a fantastic bar (called Nobo something) which has lovely sun beds/umberellas and a pool all you have to do is buy a drink which were not overly expensive to stay there, the food and service was excellent, they do not hassle you at all, one lady told us she only bought one drink and stayed for 5 hours. I believe that in the height of the season you pay 10 euro's to go in but for us it was free. All in all the Mirochoro Sol is a nice place to stay.
The best thing about my stay was...Unusually warm weather for the time of year. Cleanliness of rooms and friendly staff.

We stayed at the hotel and still are from the 15th to the 22nd of Aug , dont know why anyone writes a bad review of this place , my wife and i have stayed in a lot of places al over the world and this hotel for what we payed is fantastic . rooms clean all with aircon , hairdryer , safe , liquid shower gel dispensers in the shower .breakfast very good full english every morning .thestaff on front desk cant do enought to make your holiday a good one ,its the middle of August and most days we have the pool just for our own use , im always very wairy of hotel pools but this pool is cristal clear . i would say AAA for everythig and dont take any notice of any bad reviews you have to be very hard to please if you dont like this place ,
The best thing about my stay was...how clean the hotel is , and such friendly staff , with a good full breakfast .

We went with a group of 7 mixed ages and had a super holiday. Hotel was clean and fresh. Bathrooms looked revamped. Pool adequate for the number of guests. Only 4 euros in a taxi to the Old town or P. De Rocha. Good situation with good resturants/shops and supermarkets within 5 mins walk. Staff were super friendly and helped us loads. Beds a little firm and breakfast was average but for the price was excellent value for money. Beats similar holidays in Greece or Spain that we have had recently.

Father & Son reunion
C. McLean, Ipswich
5 Stars from us for a 2 Star hotel I can honestly say that the care and attention we were given was second to none. The only thing against it was the fact that we only took one week when we should have had two. This was due to the unfound negative reviews on different sites. Even when we were there we saw that pleasing some people can be a momentous task. Breakfast was very good, earlier the better. Our thanks go out to Alexandre, Joanna the cleaning ladies that regularly cleaned up daily after us ( even to the point of folding Sheldon's clothes up and putting them away. My son Sheldon 18 going on 28 loved it, slept like a rock and partied all night in a town of lovely people who would go out of their way to make your stay fantastic.
