Beautifully kept hotel in stunning location.
A Rees, Bournemouth UK
After being dropped at the hotel we were greeted by extremely polite and friendly staff. The reception area is beautiful. We found our room easily and it was lovely, very clean, large furnished balcony and with everything we needed. The room was cleaned daily too. The outside areas are immaculate and the poools very clean although very cold. Very pretty little bay next to the hotel. We were all inclusive so thought everything would be included, all food was however some drinks were only offered at a reduced rate to full/half board guests? But main beers, one wine choice from white, rose and red and some spirits were included. As previous reviews we had read had mentioned that the staff seem to prioritise other nationalities over the British when It came to being served at the bars did disappointingly seem to be the case. The food was good and you would find something for even the fussiest eaters. Again as per previous reviews the food was never hot but warm. Overall this was a fab 3night break and we would return.
The best thing about my stay was...Beautiful and well kept hotel.

Beautiful place for a quick break.
Alison Rees, Bournemouth UK
Arrived to a beautiful reception area and very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was very clean and well equipped. The room was cleaned daily and beds made. All outside areas, pool, sun deck and restaurants were very clean. (And in extreamely fussy about cleanliness). The food was of a good standard but would have to agree with other reviews that it was not very hot and quite samey, bearing in mind we were only there 3 nights too. The staff on a whole were friendly enough. However again as previous uk reviewers had mentioned there was a definite better service to other nationalities being served drinks at the bar before we were although we were queuing before them. Also although we were all inclusive we found that there were only a certain amount of drinks that were included and that most were offered at a cheaper rate to the full/half board guests (so not really all inclusive) The bay that the hotel is on is beautiful. All in all a lovely short break and would return.
The best thing about my stay was...The clean rooms, location and relaxation.

Family Holiday 11 people - 14 day ending yesterday (25th July)
Dave Skelton, Stilton, UK
We have been to Barcelo Cala Vinas many times - and also other Barcelo Hotels in Spain. This two week stay was very disappointing - Restaurant was embarrisingly chaotic particularly in the evening no tables available - Not allowed to reserve even for our family - Staff who didn't know us from previous visits very abrupt and often rude - Staff who knew us were very friendly - Food very similar every day - We ate at Beach Bar and 2 Restaurants 5 minutes walk away and no problem getting tables for 11 people - Upstairs Pool was dirty - areas not hosed down at all whilst we were there / muddy near sun loungers - I booked in December 14 for July 15 - 4 rooms with Sea Views in Block 3 but this was ignored - Even thougt we all enjoy the hotel I doubt that we will return again - I supposed it depends if anyone actually reads these reviews and makes contact with me - Oh i forgot - the AC in room 2516 is very very noisy and vibrates during the night - Ah I forgot again - for those of us who couldn't cope with the stress searching for a table and headed to the Snack Bar - this will not provide food after 18:30 even though the menus say 19:30
The best thing about my stay was...Meeting old friends / beaches / weather

Room was outstanding
I am writing an honest and fair review. The hotel had only just opened for the season, the reception were very friendly and helpful. We checked in early which was a bonus and we were put in a suite room 3302 it was outstanding large glass patios with large balconies it was great. when we first arrived it was not busy, but as the week went on more and more people came. I felt myself getting frustrated at meal times as the staff ignored me and on many occasions had to set my own table up to be then ignored even more. I don't want to say the staff were awful, because they were not, they were ran off there feet because they were short staffed. I am also going to say the same about the bar, 20 minutes wait to be served and again ignored people pushing in, I was not the only person who felt as I did and its a shame really. the hotel is right on the beach, but again feel the hotel should clean the beach more because it would encourage people to use the beach if it was cleaned. I had read reviews before I booked the hotel and it did say its a very nosey hotel and they were right, if your looking for a relaxing holiday I am afraid this hotel is not for you. I don't know if floors are not swept and hosed down because they are short staffed, but if they carry on leaving food droppings on the floor for few days I am afraid ants will begin to appear we did see lots on our last day. We were all inclusive and found the food mainly salad and fish which was not for us really so we paid taxi every night to eat out, there are no café bars, shops, nothing, you really are out of everything staying here we spent over 250 euros on taxis. On a final note if you have children the entertainment team are very good.
The best thing about my stay was...the outstanding suite we had 3302

The reception area is very welcoming. My sister lives in Cala Vinyas so the Barceló was a convenient base. On arrival I was given my room number 1105 this was just below reception, down a dingy corridor. I entered my room and had to go straight back to reception the toilet was disgusting, there was only a shower in the description it said a bath,no refrigerator the whole room needed a maintainance job loose sockets etc. The next day I hired a key for the safe I promptly had to return for a refund as it didn't work. I was very disappointed i wanted a bath and refridgerator both which were in the room description but weren't there. The Hotel is in a beautiful setting but the descriptions are false.
The best thing about my stay was...spending time with my sister

Barcelo Cala Vinas is a lovely hotel, definately a 4 *. Location - located directly on the beach, which is a small, safe, cove with a few hotels around it. Only downside to location was that there are no shops, restaurants etc in the local area, within walking distance. Well, non that I could find. Although that wasnt a problem as lots to do at the hotel. Family friendly - very family orientated hotel. Lots of day and night entertainment for adults and children. My 7 and 15 year old both loved it. Food - excellent restaurant, lovely food, some cooked fresh. Able to sit outside as well for meals. Drinks reasonable price. Rooms - great air conditioning which was needed as weather was amaizing. Rooms quite small but clean and bathrooms nice. Ours overlooked the small sandy bay which was nice. We had asked for a sea view. Excellent hotel, very relaxing would definately recommend it to friends and go again. Staff all very helpful. Entertainment team great.

My friend and I (both 60+) were very disappointed with the holiday we spent at this hotel. There seemed to be no information about trips to other parts of the island, nowhere to go in Cala Vinas itself, very little adult entertainment....certainly no quality entertainment....and the main bar had no atmosphere, no music and was very uncomfortable. Everywhere was shut by midnight and we felt unwelcome after 11.30 and as though we were expected to go to bed...quietly so as not to disturb other guests who were possibly sleeping!!! It is an excellent hotel if you are a parent of young children as it is very child friendly. In fact we felt that people without children were out of place there! The children are very well catered for indeed so it is an excellent family hotel but definitely not suitable for young people who want a bit of life or indeed even people of our age who aren't quite "over the hill" yet!!! The evenings were very boring indeed!! It seems to be favoured mainly by Russians and Italians although more English people arrived towards the end of the week.
The best thing about my stay was...The weather, very good swinmming pools, a lovely beach with a good bar and lovely scenery.
