Barcelona last margaritas
Michelle Arundale, Chichester
Good hotel with lovely staff. Food was great with lots of choices and menu varied each day. Entertainment was slightly naff but plenty of quiet places to escape to if needed. Downside was that the request for a double bed rather than two singles was ignored, despite the hotel being half full.
The best thing about my stay was...The food, cleanliness and staff

This hotel we visited 25 years ago for our honeymoon.I'm wheelchair bound now and we thought we could recreate our memories. The hotel is still as nice, good food and clean and friendly. Our holiday was completely ruined because where the restaurant bars entertainment was in the hotel there were toilets. But the only disabled toilet was in the mens, I had to walk past men having a wee, and there also mentioned your in the wrong toilet love. I complained to 4 members of reception and one cleaner, they all just said sorry you have to go to the mens. Had to keep going back upstairs to the room to use the toilet, and one of the 2 lifts did not work,so took forever. Missed all entertainment because of this fact.Asked to speak to the manager and was told they were not there. Surely this is against the law so I want to be rein burst in some way this totally ruined a perfectly good holiday otherwise .this hotel is worth a visit if you are able bodied, not wheelchair bound and a women .
The best thing about my stay was...good food

Good hotel , traveled as two families of 4 . Food was great everytime we went to resturant we managed to all sit together. Food was great . Bar was slow in the evening , a lot of people just push in . Rooms cleaned 6 days out of 7 . Our room didn't cater for 4 people tho only two chairs on balcony , 2 cups , 2 glasses . Pools were great , getting a sunbed wasn't a problem . Hotel in good area .
The best thing about my stay was...Food and pool area

I stayed in this hotel for 7 days with my 2 children, 12 and 15 years old. Good : The staff are very helpful and smile all the time. Food was ok. Drinks finished at 11pm. Bad : very boring entertainment, nothing to do in the evening. The children dont have anything to play. No indoor swimming pool. Saunna is very very poor and charged €10. Room was not clean, not change the bed sheets at all. Have to get bus to go to the beach For this hotel, I believe it is 3 star or less.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Barceló Las Margaritas and we have thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is lovely, too lovely gained five pounds in weight, receptionist's very nice and helpful and facilities within the hotel are good. This time our room was in the self catering suites even though we were all inclusive to give us more room which was a great advantage as it allowed our ten year old to have her own bedroom giving us some privacy. The rooms in the main hotel are more updated but the rooms are smaller. The only drawback with our stay is the entertainment and although I realise that the entertainment team work hard, I feel that one or two professional acts throughout the stay would have created a perfect holiday for us.

Great Hotel very relaxing!
Annemarie Flood, Dublin
Just back from our 2nd stay at the Barcelo (couple in our late 30's). We would definitely recommend this hotel. We stayed in the superior rooms on the 7th Floor this time but had previously stayed in the apartments next door. We would highly recommend the superior rooms - very spacious and modern and each room has a wetroom and its own balcony. The hotel is very well maintained and extremely clean. It has two great pools surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. We would recommend you hire one the double sunbeds by the pool in the apartments - where you can have waiter service. The hotel staff are all very friendly especially the bar staff and animation crew - each night putting on some great shows. We even had a fashion show by the pool on our last day. The hotel is 20 mins from the beach however there is a shuttle bus and a 10 min walk from the Yumbo Centre. With regard to the hotel food we have always stayed on a half board basis and the food has always been great - huge selection each day and always lots of freshly cooked meat/fish at the grill. After reading other reviews lots of people had been saying the food is hit and miss, the only gripe we had were the scambled eggs were a little cold but everything else fantastic. We would highly recommend for families and also couples and we will definitely be back.

Doesn't live up to reviews
Anonymous, Co Clare
Pros : Modern comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff . Barman Carlos is a cheerful gentleman. Cons : Food is a disappointment. Main course is always cold even at 6.30pm.Pork stew, Goat stew . tough veal etc. Potatoes which reek of salt. Hotel is located a considerable distance from anywhere.
