Comfortable and Friendly

, United Kingdom

Although the Hotel Parker is basic, you get a comfortable room, friendly staff who are very welcoming and always willing to help. This is a perfect little crash pad for those wishing to explore the wonders of Rome but avoid paying top money to stay right in the heart of the city. The hotel is situated approximately 20 - 30 minutes walk from most of the main attractions and there is a convenient Metro stop nearby.

The best thing about my stay was ...

the proximity to such a wealth of history

Would highly recommend if going on a low-budget holiday to Rome. Great central location, walking distance from Termini station. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Room and bathroom very clean; it was big enough for the few days we were there. The continental breakfast was basic and the same every day, yet very nice.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Clean and Location

Great stay in a great location.

We were nicely surprised when me and my boyfriend arrived at Parker hotel for our 3 night stay. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very clean and spotless. The room had air con and free wifi which was a bonus. A 10/ 15 min walk from the main train station and there were all kinds of attractions in walking distance. There was a safe in the room which was free to use and there was daily house keeping. The free continental breakfast was great, everything that you needed coffee, toast, meats etc. We will defiantly go back!

The best thing about my stay was ...

The room was really clean and tidy, plus free wifi

me & wife stayed here in may and could'nt fault it, we had a room at back of hotel which seemed to be the only one with a balcony which was great, room was fine, very clean, staff was friendly enough and the breakfast was very good, for the money we paid it was BRILLIANT!! would recommend this hotel to anyone. if we ever go to rome again i certainly would stay here again. if i had to give a dislike there was one woman on reception who could of been more helpful- but i'm just being petty now. i could'nt fault anything else

The best thing about my stay was ...

the location & breakfast

Nice Hotel, very clean, helpfull staff. Area looks a bit rough but its fine. Convenient for termini and manzione tube is 7ish minute walk and thatll take you most places for a euro, very easy system to use.Fridge didnt work, we never asked for it to be fixed but i assume they would have if we'd asked.Bed made and fresh towels every day + lovely hot showers. Wasn't expensive either so good buzz all in all.

Budget hotel and very clean The continental breakfast was very good; the staff was friendly and helpful. The room and ensuite bathroom was big enough and spotless Really close to Termini station (only 10 min walk) but the road-Via Giovanni Giolitti was awful-completely broken, not easy to get there if you have a big suitcase. Would recommend it for stay if you are not looking for luxury

Hotel Parker, Rome

Just come back from an amazing 4 dfays in Rome. Hotel Parker was pretty basic but it was clean and the breakfast was great. Only prob was that the toilet was smelly but they cleaned it as soon as we complained. A little further out than I would have liked but it was only 10 mins walk from the Colloseum. Fine if you like to do a lot of walking!! All in all it suited out needs and it was only £140 for 3 nights. Good basic hotel, friendly staff and a good breakfast.

Hotel Parker , Rome

The Parker is a very clean hotel . Rooms are variable in size, some have very small bath rooms but are adequate. All are of a good standard and seem to have been refurbished.Breakfast is continental, with plenty on offer.Staff are mainly friendly. It's location on a rundown road by Rome's Termini Station makes it fairly central (15 minute stroll to the Metro/Trains/Buses). Would recommend using the site seeing bus to get around, 13euro for one day 20 euro for 2. On the whole a very good value Hotel .

Review of 'Parker'

The hotel was very clean and modern, the room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was a typical european breakfast and the coffee machine has a great cappuccino.
The location of the hotel isnt the best, as it is a 10 minute walk to the subway station but there are buses closer by. The area isnt particularly tourist friendly immediately outside the hotel, but a short walk around the corner there are restaurants and shops.
Overall, the hotel was very nice, the staff were fairly friendly and it is good value for money to see the sights of Rome.

Review of 'PARKER'

'Parker' hotel was located ~5-10 minutes from the Termini station by foot, making it quite central. Excellent bus, tram links. Hotel was rather basic, but clean with good house keeping. Basic breakfast, same every day (we stayed there 3 days). Problems we had were:
(1) no remote control for TV (had to climb on a chair/table to get to the switch!!!!!) - not handy when you want to turn it off in the middel of the night!
(2) phone in the room did not work!
Receptionist tried to help with both matters, but they couldn't find a working remote! and the phone line was faulty!!
It was very hot the 3 days we were there. but no A/C was on. On the 3rd day when I asked about A/C they turned it on, but it was too late as we had to check out by 11 am. If the phone lines are working and a remote control and A/C were there, I think it was OK for the price we paid, considering the location.
