Let me start by saying this hotel/hostel is in a prime location, but where to go from there is the hard part. Upon arrival we asked for a room not on the ground floor as we were 2 women staying alone in order to have a room on any other floor we had to pay a room upgrade of €40 not much I know so off we go with our cases to the second floor and once out the lift it is dark the lights were out and I nearly fell straight back down the staircase! Finally found out way to room 204 and was pleasantly surprised, the room had 2 single beds a nice size balcony and a decent and clean bathroom. So far so good. We went out to have a look around, got back to the hotel to shower and get ready for dinner, got in the shower and it was cold no hot water! Sat down to dry my hair and all the electrics went, so off I trot to reception to be greeted by an empty desk, found a contact number but there was no answer. Had to go out with wet hair. Got back to the hotel and there was a woman on reception who was the most unhelpful person in the world, although she spoke perfect English! Anyhow the hot water was sorted and the electric came back on, until of course the next evening when exactly the same thing happened!!! Off I go back to reception and once again no one there, waited around when the rude woman turned up and her answer was "what do you expect? It is a 2 star hotel!" My answer " well hot water and electric would be nice" she then went on to tell me that she can't help it, it is the vermin YES the vermin!!! Wonderful!!! We stayed bed and breakfast and fortunately the breakfast looked like it had been there since the beginning of the season so neither of us ate any which of course we was pleased of once we had heard about the vermin!!! This hotel needs a lot of work and maybe even employ some staff that are actually approachable. Good luck if you are staying there and save space don't bother with anything electrical because the vermin won't allow you to use it for more than 5 minutes before they short circuit the whole building!
The best thing about my stay was...Leaving the hotel

Ann Burgess, dukinfield cheshire
Room very nice, clean towels supplied every other day, reception staff tried to push sea view, and apartment on to us when we arrived for extra cost.the hotel has a music bar and badley needs some new tracks as they are playing the same ones over and over, next door has a bar with artists on in the evening the Paguera could do with turning their music down when this happens.
The best thing about my stay was...balcony, nice room.

The hotel was clean, but a little dated. Rooms were adequate for a "lads" holiday with comfortable beds. Be warned, does get noisy at night until about 24.00 when bars turn the volume down Location is perfect with a lively terrace bar / pizzaria at the front run by Raymond who is very helpful if you need any advice or assistence - speaks excellent English. Has 2 brilliant bar girls working for him called Sarah & Penny - bar is worth a visit just to see them! All in all, the hotel represents good value for money - we had 5 nights last week for 70 eros inclusive !!
