8/10 Great

A Great stay at the Presidente !!

Just returned from a 7 day stay at the Hotel Presidente 2 adults & 2 kids (10 & 9 ) the service was great the staff at the reception, restaurant, any of the bars and the kids clubs could not be nicer, nothing was a bother for them. The rooms were quite small but had all you needed. safety box (chargeable) kettle, mini bar, AC,TV, hair dryer.. rooms cleaned every day and towels changed daily too. We went all inclusive ( which is a good idea if you have kids) all inclusive starts at 11.00am until 11.00pm and you can have as much local beer (Estrella) local spirits. juice. Ice lollies, ice cream, tea and coffee you wish. The food was also great, the breakfast was pretty repetitive but there are loads of choices so you can vary each day. lunch & dinner always a great selection with a kids section and always plenty of fresh fruits and veg with beer and wine if you wish. in between these meals there is an option of panini and toastie machines to make yourself a snack etc. The " Chill Out Bar " opens from 8pm until 11pm and is well worth a visit if you have the option to leave the kids for half an hour or so as its adults only but the view out over the bay and the sunset is beautiful. ( you do have to pay for your drinks here but for a few Euros you get a lovely cocktail and great views ) The kids entertainment team work tirelessly from morning to night with games. football, water polo, bingo, karaoke and kids disco right up to 11pm.

The best thing about my stay was...

The food was great and the fact there was always something to keep the kids occupied really made the holiday

Great for kids but very noisy

We've just come back from an 11 day All Inclusive stay at the Presidente with our 4 year old daughter. As always I'd checked the reviews, photo's etc and was happy that this hotel would suit our needs. I'll try not to reproduce what's already been written in other reviews and will give (I hope) a fair and balanced view. It was fully booked when we were there (something we haven't experienced when staying in a hotel before) and this presented some challenges - as detailed in each section. I didn't book through Thompson and this is 90% a Thompson hotel, 95% British. The Thompson reps on the desk will tell you that the kids club is only available if you've booked through them (as it was full). Ignore them, go to the kids club and register your child, there will be no problem. Rooms - basic but clean, a/c good. Safe, fridge and room extension only available if you are prepared to pay more (not very all inclusive!!). Despite having requested a sea view, none were available. Our room was on the ground floor, no view but the 'balcony' got the sun in the afternoon. It was VERY noisey. Yes this is down to other guests however the thin walls, thin ceilings and the fact you have to slam the door shut from the outside didn't help. Staff - friendly and efficient. Food - very good most of the time wth a wide selection of meat, fish, veg and kids options. We had to queue a few times in the restaurant but this was well managed. Food was replenished quickly. Entertainment - a lot of it, all day and all night. The entertainment team work very hard. If this is your thing great. It was a bit too full on for us. Sunbeds - very poor standard. I refused to put towels on sunbeds at 0800 in the morning then after three days relinquished. If you can't beat them, join them - there is no other way to get a decent sunbed. The adults only area is nice and quiet if you have the opportunity to 'swap shifts' keeping an eye on kids. Splash area, playground area and soft play area all very good. The splash area (which is new) could have been so much better if it had been built with space for sunbeds. You can get pool towels for a deposit of 10 euros. This isn't advertised anywhere. Another guest told us. They can be changed every day. Portinatx - very pretty, nice beaches. Food very touristy - no authentic Iberian fare - ok if you want Pizza, Pasta etc. Vincents bar has good entertainment if you want a change. Again, very British but good fun. All in all, this is a hotel with kids in mind.

The best thing about my stay was...

Good standard of food for an all inclusive

family holiday

hotel excellent , friendly , 24hr service , they is a coupple of things that i dnt agree with is that you have to pay to rent the fridge in your room i think this should be in with the price of your holiday as its 3.70p a day to rent it . u can get an iron but you have to pay to use that also , the washing machine and tumble dryer is 5.10p to use each ,the bar round the pool is really expensive if you can go out and eat a lunch times its cheaper , also drinks in the bar and around the bar very expensive . if you go of site you will find it cheaper , my kids had lots to do , the thompson reps are 100% in every way possible , overall enjoyed the holiday but could of done with been a bit cheaper there .
