6/10 Good

Very good value Apartment Complex and very friendly staff

Lovely apartment complex and very good value for money. Staff were very efficient and lovely to deal with. Drawbacks of the Complex are as follows:- 1. No air-conditioning but Daniella/staff helped us out with a fan which was a necessity. 2. Lots of steps--this we were aware of from former trip advisor comments--not suitable for families with children or elderly. 3. We requested through Alpha Rooms a room on upper levels with sea view rather than ground floor but did not get this. Reception was not open when we arrived on Saturday afternoon (was not open again until Monday morning at 10.00am) and hence could not persevere with our request at the time. Our keys were very efficiently left out for us with detailed instructions for the ground floor apartment.

The best thing about my stay was...

Friendliness of staff and close to beach facilities

Very Pleasant Stay

Enjoyed our short stay at Punta Marina. It was quiet and restful and it was really nice to have our own sunbeds and umbrella on our own balcony as well as a swimming pool. Access to the beach and main street was easy. The appartment was very well equipped for a "1 key" unit and considering the cost was brilliant value. However, it was not suitable for small children.

The best thing about my stay was...

Quiet and Restful......just what we needed

quiet little place

The receptionist met us at the gate, due to the fact the flight was delayed. she was very pleasant and polite. The apartment was very clean and well mantained. The bed at first we thought slept 6 people, but on removing the covers, found it was 2 single beds pushed together. The bedding was changed at least 4 times in the week and so were the towels. Every one was very polite and made you welcome. The room had a large fridge freezer in a moderate sized kitchen, a microwave, two ring hob, kettle, toaster and even a coffee maker. the patio was big enough for both a table and chairs and also 2 sun loungers. the balconys/patios are very private and you can only see a small amount of the other balconys. The swimming pool area is all gated off, with plenty of sun loungers and large pool. very child friendly. There is a good supermarket in Morro Jable, a 5 minute walk and there is another in jandia. As you walk into jandia it's the second one, as the first one dosen't have much choice. We found a few good places to eat on the front at Morro Jable, which is 5 - 10 minutes walk along the front. One being Vesubio. If you are English, i would recommend you don't eat or drink at the beach bar, at the bottom of the steps. As they are rude and ignorant. Whilst waiting to be served, the waiter, served at least 6 other couples (i wont say what nationality they were, but they weren't English). before we got up and went to another bar 5 mins away and had a great meal. If you like peace and quiet, with privacy, then this is the place to be. the complex is small and you don't see anyone. At times can be alittle too quiet. We would recommend the apartments and would go back tommorrow, if i wasn't at work.

The best thing about my stay was...

The peace and quiet, and No rowdy groups.

Quite and Relaxing

2nd time at these apartments, (both times around the end of April) so we obviously like them! This is a small complex of around 20 apartments, situated between the old town of Morro Jable, and Jandia. About 5 minutes walk to each. The beach is within 3 minutes walking distance also, so nothing is too far away. These apartments have lots of stairs so not really suitable for young children or people with disabilities as there are no lifts. Nice secluded swimming pool, with a few sun loungers, which, when we have been there, we have had mostly to our selves. Again, not really suitable for very young children as the shallowest point is 1.25 metres. As for the apartments, they are large, spread over 3 levels. Ground floor with your well equiped kitchen and bathroom. 2nd level, has your sitting area with tv, and a door to your fairly large balcony, with table and chairs, 2 sun loungers and umberella. The top floor has a fairly large bedroom, with a king size bed. Again, i repeat, lots of steps, with open plan stairs, so not suitable for very young children, or people with disabilities. In all, much better than the 1 key standard it has, as kept very clean, with modern appliances and furniture.

Excellent

Well equipped and maintained appartment in small complex convenient for Jandia or Morro Jable. From the lower gate, it is a few minutes walk to the shops, restaurant and beach of Jandia town or to the sea front walk to the old village of Morro Jable with some excellent restaurants. 70 steps up from the bottom gate is the main entrance giving the shortest route to Morro Jable village and Padilla supermarket. The appartments are of unusual design with bathroom and kitchen diner at entrance level then up a few steps to the lounge and patio and more steps up to the bedroom. The kitchen has two electric rings plus a microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. The receptionist is very helpful and speaks excellent English, German and Spanish. She is only present for a few hours each day - usually 10 am- 1pm but is always contactable by telephone. A computer with internet access is available free when reception is open and there are lots of English and German books available to borrow or swap.

The best thing about my stay was...

Clean, well equipped and convenient

Spacious apartment on a welll-maintained site in a great location

For me, this was the perfect holiday accommodation: a light, airy apartment on three levels, with a huge bed, a well-equipped kitchen, good bathroom and a lovely private terrace (with sun loungers and umbrella). The whole site was spotless (the pool, and my apartment, was cleaned five times during my one week stay) and the staff (Daniele on reception, and the ladies who kept the place clean) couldn't have been nicer. The bed was firm (but I like that), but was slightly spoilt by a waterproof mattress protector that ruched up under the sheet. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need (kettle, coffee maker and filter papers, toaster, two halogen hobs and a microwave/oven) - but if you're like me, you'll use the coffee pot as a tea pot and rush out to the supermarket to buy a decent sized mug: the cups in the apartment were just too small for a tea addict like me! Tea towels, washing up liquid and a washing up sponge were all provided, which is a nice touch. The bathroom was also well-equipped, with a hairdryer and a make-up/shaving mirror and plenty of towels and toilet paper. There's a good picture on the TV, although some British people may be disappointed that there's only one English-language channel. This part of Fuerteventura is much more popular with German tourists, so you'll find several German TV channels (and you'll also find that most of the locals speak German, rather than English). The apartment is painted in magnolia throughout, with rather heavy dark wood furniture - personally, I'd paint it all white and add lighter, more seasidey furniture, but every item in the apartment is clean and comfortable. My view is that you get considerably more than its official 'One Key' classification would suggest. Apartments use a card key system, and there's a locked gate between the site and the street, so it feels very safe and secure. It's also amazingly quiet - no traffic noise whatsoever. One of the things I was keen to do on my holiday was more exercise - so again, Punta Marina was perfect! If you're not too keen on walking or climbing, I'd suggest you stay somewhere else - perhaps on the beach in Morro Jable or Jandia. The apartments are built into the hill, so you're always going to be walking down to the beach or back up the hill (and the steps) to your apartment. And there are a lot of steps! But the beaches are glorious – I'm missing my daily run along the beach, and my cafe con leche with the nice señor at the beach cafe near the Iberostar hotel, already. Highly recommended!

The best thing about my stay was...

The weather, my terrace, and watching the sun set with a beer in Morro Jable.

quality apartment

we were very impressed with the quality of this accomodation. Spacious, well designed and nice touches like filter papers with the coffee maker, washing uo liquid, tea towels etc which although we ate out most of the time were appreciated. Bit of a walk up the hill from the beach but a very quiet spot and we can recommend it for a quiet break. Morro Jable is not that pretty a place but for a beach holiday it must be hard to beat.
