Review of 'REGIO I'

TRAVEL: we flew to Jerez airport and waited for a bus to take us to Cadiz- this didn't show and after 30 minutes we got a taxi to the hotel (this cost 45 euros).<br /><br />STAFF: they were very helpful and spoke reasonable English.<br /><br />ROOMS: rooms were not huge but they had everything you need including a small covered balcony- ours overlooked the main street but was not too noisy. TV was mainly Spanish channels but we watched the tennis while we were getting ready to go out so that was fine. Bathroom was clean and shower was good.<br /><br />AREA: the location was perfect as it was just steps from the beach but you are a block back so you don't pay the prices to face the sea. you are in the middle of everything here and it is roughly 30 minutes walk from the old town along the beach front.<br /><br />SUMMARY: the hotel was clean and a good price, in an excellent location. thoroughly recommended.

Review of 'REGIO I'

Wasn't sure what I would get for my money however I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It is on the main road into Cadiz yet, as a result of extremely efficient double glazing, there is no traffic noise at all in the bedroom. It is a short walk to the beach and a good selection of restaurants and bars. The old city of Cadiz is a 5 minute cab ride (4 Euros) or a short hop on the bus (less than 1 euro). The cafe in the hotel served a basic continetal breakfast (including freshly squeezed orange juice) and the establishment is spotless, bright and airy and extremely modern. Facilities in the room (hair dryer, bidet)were better than the 4* hotel I used the following night when our flight home was cancelled!<br /><br />I will certainly use this hotel again on our next trip (June) and I have no hesitatation in recommending it to anyone visitng Cadiz.
