Plush

A lovely hotel. Very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Good variey and choice for breakfast. Small but fine sauna, jacuzzi and fitness room but could do with a cardio machine. A bit of a walk to town but not a problem unless you had mobility difficulties. Close to the castle and in a quiet location.

The best thing about my stay was...

Comfortable and relaxing

Fantastic hotel !!

Myself and two friends stayed at The Savoy for the first time in August 2013. It was such a lovely hotel to visit and the rooms are so big and tastefully decorated. The breakfast served in the light & airy restaurtant was top notch. I really must mention that all the staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. I tried to think of anything I did not like about our stay, however I cannot. We have all been to Prague many times and we will now endeavour to book The Savoy where possible.

The best thing about my stay was...

Fabulous rooms.

Comfortable hotel in a convenient location.

Excellent service, comfortable room with everything provided. Great breakfast. Downside was the high temperature throughout the hotel. Mangement could save a fortune on heating bills. Tram no. 22 was frequent and delivered us straight into the centre in about 10 minutes. Beautiful walks just a few metres away.

The best thing about my stay was...

Walking in the area around the Petrin tower.

you can be sure of relaxing and brilliant time at this hotel.

stayed 3 nights at this wonderful hotel. receptionist was extremely helpful on arrival and during our stay. the room was large, clean, and very functional with tea making facilities. enjoyed the free mini bar which included 2 beers, bottled water and cola. in the morning we had fresh fruit and cereal bar left outside our door. the breakfast is very exceptional with hot and cold food. the staff are very friendly and helpful. when we return to prague, we will definately use the savoy again

The best thing about my stay was...

Charming small hotel that doesn't quite live up to it's 5 star billing.

The location, rooms and general ambience of the Savoy make it a perfect place to enjoy the delights of Prague. The communal areas are comfortable and stylish, the staff are friendly and helpful, Strahov Monastery, Loretta Kirche, Petrin Hill and Prague Castle are in walking distance and the 22 tram outside the door takes you along the Mala Strana and across the Vlatava, past the National Theatre to the centre of the New Town. Only the lack of porterage and a couple of minor deficiencies in housekeeping and maintenance during our stay prevented me from giving it 5 out of 5. Dining tips - for good authentic Czech food try the Kaverna Slavia (Narodni), Cafe Orient (Black Modonna House, Celetna) and the Lebuttiji (Hradcanska Nam): For a meal to remember try the Nebozezek (Petrin Hill) and the Savovvy Mylyny (Kampa Island). Culturally. the National Theatre is a must and art lovers shouldn't miss the museum of modern art (Veletrizni Palac - Holesovice) and the Sternberg Palac (next to Prague Castle).

Top Class

Six women on a Thursday to Sunday trip, found the hotel & location excellent. Food, drink and service all very good, and complimentary taxis (shiny back mercs!) ordered for us when we wanted to eat elsewhere. Rooms were top class, all the little luxuries were there. One riverboat trip recommended by the hotel was OK, but not brilliant (say 3* instead of 5*) and a 5 star hotel like the Savoy sould probably stick to recommending services they know are top notch (like themselves, it should be said). Would go back again no problem, loved it. Prague itself is a beautiful city, don't be afraid to haggle with the jewellers!

Review of 'SAVOY PRAGUE'

We stayed in the Savoy Prague over the New Year break, which also doubled as my 30th birthday celebration.

Contrary to some reviews I had read on a variety of websites about this hotel, we found all of the staff to be extremely helpful and kind. Furthermore, the service was worthy of a 5 stars. In particular, we found the evening restaurant staff to be outstanding. Our waiter offered us some valuable advice on a variety of top restaurants. The service did not stop there. The next morning we awoke to find information on these restaurants printed from the internet and slipped under our door. Despite the popularity of these restaurants at this time of the year, the concierge happily managed to get us a table at our preferred restaurants. Of the several restaurants we ate in, by far our favourite was Pravda.

We also took advantage of the fantastic cocktail making skills of the bar staff in the hotel. If you are a fan of cocktails, and plan to stay at this hotel, don't allow this experience to pass you by!

Everything else in the hotel was up to standard and the location was good. Prague is a very pretty city and we had an enjoyable stay. We will probably not make another trip to this city in the future, however if we did we would be satisfied with staying in this hotel again.

Review of 'SAVOY PRAGUE'

This is a super location for the Castle and surrounding district, only a few minutes of brisk walking invloved to get to the centre of town (if walking is your thing). If not the the tram or a short taxi ride (the hotel will fix everything up for you). We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every moment of the extra attention and pampering we recieved at the Savoy.

The meal we had in the hotel's resturant was first class, with the best selections of wine.

It was my wife's 40th birthday treat and we had our room upgraded to the deluxe room, which was huge, they offer us Champange and Chocolates in the room too!

I would recommend this lovely placed hotel to anyone travel to the wonderful city of Prague.
