I have been coming to the Palm Beach for many years. This visit being my 10th. The facilities are excellent, staff most friendly and obliging, while the food continues to excel. Room facilities and servicing are as good as one could ask for. I am not really impressed by the evening entertainment in the bar but this is not a significant criticism in the context of overall first class experience.
The best thing about my stay was...Ambiance of hotel and staff friendliness

Upsetting Experience. PUBIC Hair on food
The attitude by the hotel management was very disappointing when we reported a public hair on our food. We were upset and disappointed as it was quite insulting of the hotel to attempt to deny the incident even though the issue was clearly identified to the dining manager. The best thing about my stay was...Location- near the beach

Lovely hotel, which is very well run!

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and it continues to deliver "what it says on the tin" There are one or two things which I would prefer were not offered - some of the entertainments, both poolside and dining areas; however, this is a personal preference and I realise that many of the guests enjoy these things. They will not prevent my return to The Palm Beach. The Palm Beach continues to be exceptionally well managed by the General Director, Rocio Cibran, who never fails to impress with her interpersonal and linguistic skills; she maintains a very tight control of the staff, whilst always being friendly and absolutely professional!
The best thing about my stay was...The lovely sea-views from my room!

A good experience!

It was my second visit to this hotel, having previously stayed at The Grand Residencia, it's sister hotel 400 metres away several times. It is a 35 year old building, completely refurbished in 2002 in a retro seventies style; the basic rooms are not large, but well designed with well-functioning, if somewhat small, bathrooms, excellent air-conditioning and the rooms are fully serviced twice a day. I elected to upgrade to one of the more spacious corner rooms which had been completely re-fitted immediately prior to my visit. There were flowers and fruit on arrival, together with a cold supper as I wasn't able to check in until 11.30 pm. The whole hotel is well maintained and scrupulously clean. The gardens, pools and spa were excellent and it was so good to have a child-free pool and sauna area. Some reviewers have commented on the mainly German clientèle. So what! It was a joy not to have been embarrassed by some of my compatriots whilst on holiday - I am a middle-aged Englishman! There were a few things which I would have preferred to have been improved, but one has to consider the very good value for money offered by this hotel - it is a good five star hotel and does not claim to have the de-luxe category of The Residencia. The manager runs the hotel with expertise, style and competence - she maintains high visibility and is always available to help with any requests for assistance. I needed to give two small drinks parties and on each occasion the canapés and organisation were perfect. My visit a good experience!
The best thing about my stay was...The level of service offered by all of the staff

We have been to Gran Canaria three times and we know almost all the hotels in Maspalomas, but it was our first time in Palm Beach. We booked for a basic room and when we arrived we asked to change because it was facing on the car park an we didn't really enjoy it. we paid the difference (€ 420) and a room facing on the pool was given to us, so the holiday could actually begin. The position it's absolutely good: very close to the sea even if not directly on the beach; there is no better other than Ifa Faro. The garden and the pools are really beutiful, there are two pools for children, a bigger one and other two pools with salt water in the relaxing area (here children undere 14 years old are not admitted). At breakfast we enjoyed the faboluos buffet with everithing we wanted, while at dinner there were three evenings a week with buffet (Oriental, Italian and Spanish) and in the other evenings the dinner was served among a choice of dishes. The service was absolutely perfect both at the restaurant and in the room, which was tied up twice a day. The hotel is child friendly, with the abovementioned pools, a playground and a miniclub, so our doughter Giulia really enjoed her stay. At night there was a small show to entertain the guests, but It was not really unforgetable and at 10 pm everithing was over. I would advise the hotel to those who have children or are looking for tranquillity, but I would suggest to book either a room facing towards the ocean but in the higher floors, or room on the pool side.
The best thing about my stay was...the service
