An amazingly sleek, fresh & friendly hotel. Despite 4 days of heavy rain a great hotel to get away from it all and relax.
The best thing about my stay was...The modern decor and friendly staff.

Sandy Beach Rocks!!
Andreas Lysandrides, Cyprus - Limassol
The hotel was recently renovated. Common areas are amazing and the rooms spacious comfortable and the bed was soooooooo great!!! Awsome double sunbeds by the pool. And the price for all these was the best of all. I stayed for 2 nights and i was thinking all the time "What a bargain"

Sandy Beach, Larnaca, April 2009
This hotel has recently been refurbished. The communal areas are gorgeous, very boutique and the bedrooms are 1/2 done. The bathrooms have been left but I understand that they are a work in progress. Ideal hotel for couples/adults as there are no children’s facilities. We stayed on an All Inclusive (AI) basis that weirdly did not include lunch. I would still recommend AI from a value for money point of you but it means the service you will receive will be poor in comparison to that received by fully paying customers. The hotel focuses it's service on non-AI customers....I'm guessing the staff are hoping for more tips but it is annoying to see. Even the coffee is served differently if you are AI!!??!! The AI House Wine is YUK whereas the non AI House Wine is very nice. The evening buffet food was really good with a good selection. Could do with some evening entertainment, perhaps a piano player in the bar. Overall a very nice hotel but only once you get past the poor service.

Sandy beach - 4 years on
Sylvia Goddard, Hampshire England
We had stayed here in 2003 and revisited as an evening guest in 2005. We chose to return again as it is well liked by us and friends we visit. Suffcie to say I thought it had declined in the last 4 years. We always visit in the winter. Breakfast had seriously declined with no service and lack of tabel clearing, bowls and cutlery. Hot food was semi wwarm and I didn't think anyone was keeping an eye on the heat temperature of the food. Very poor fruit selection and at 10 o/c dead all the drink machines went off. Generall lack of service all over really, didn't see anyone cleaning the pool area, walking around and a coffee cup I left in the grounds one day was still lying there the next. General alck of staff and people just to "see if you wanted anything". Only one night of entertainment despite all the lounge signs saying different. That said, I would still return as it is clean, the rooms are good and it is in an ideal location with good pools and beach area. Also near the gliding club which bis what we go for. I am saddened that it almost seems to be in decline. I would now rate as a 3 star and not 4

Review of 'Sandy Beach'
Jean and Garry Pollard, Pudsey/England
Having booked into Paphos for ten days in March we decided to have three days in Larnaca at the Sandy Beach Hotel. We had a delightful stay there. The rooms were really nice and very clean although for a four star hotel we expected nothing less. The rooms were cleaned every day and clean towels were also provided daily.
We had booked half board and for both breakfast and evening meal there was a great choice of food and everything was top class. The restaurant staff were very helpful and every meal was very enjoyable. We were about four miles out of Larnaca but you could get a bus into Larnaca outside the hotel. We had a car so did not use the bus service. There was entertainment in the hotel a couple of nights a week if you wanted that. The hotel was right on the beach and the pool area was lovely although when we were there it was rather too cold to swim in the outdoor pool. There was an indoor pool if you wanted to have a swim. All in all a superb hotel. Would definitely use this hotel again in the near future. Thank you Alpharooms for another good hotel.

Review of 'Sandy Beach' - a starting point for exploring Cyprus
Ingvar Olofsson, Gothenburg, Sweden
My wife and I stayed at the Sandy Beach a couple of days at the end of September 2006. We used the hotel as the starting point for a rwo weeks tour by rented car around Cyprus. With its location not far from the Larnaca International airport it was the perfect starting and closing point for the tour.
The hotel has everything that should be expected from a four star hotel, including good and reliable service and excellent food. In addition there was entertainment and other activities of different kinds every day (wine testing, exhibition and sales of local handicraft, local music and dancing).
The beach area is well planned with an inner basin, sheltered by breakwaters, where waves are low even during windy days. The pool area is very attractive with a pleasant irregularly shaped pool (narrow channels, bridge, islands) placed amongst the palms and green plants close to the major, recatangular pool. Equipment for all kinds of water sports were easily available within the beach area. The street immedeatedly outside the hotel offers a large number of pleasant restaurants and shops for e.g souvenirs and car rental.
