Excellent - Recommended

We arrive at the hotel around midnight and the first thing the receptionist asked was were we hungry? and directed us to the restaurant where some food had been prepared for late arrivals. Sol Falco is a large complex and although busy we never had to wait or queue for our meals etc. The choice of food was excellent and all well prepared. The rooms were very comfortable and spotless,. The shower was wonderful with great pressure and the hot water never ran out. An hard working animation team, choice of several pools and friendly smiling staff rounded of the entire experience - will definitely be going back - recommended!
The best thing about my stay was...All of it!

Good hotel for families
We are a young couple and the hotel is definitely an amazing hotel but mainly for kids, they have animations all day. There were too many people in our opinion and we had kids around while we were eating, or in the swimming pool. Good hotel but for families. The buffet offer many different options.
The best thing about my stay was...Very friendly staff

Just got back from a week at the Sol Falco in Menorca. We were very pleased with the hotel and would gladly recommend it to others. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with ensuite facilities and have both air conditioning and a ceiling fan keeping them lovely and cool. The bathroom was showing some signs of wear and the satelite TV had the usual mix of Spanish and German channels with just the CNN news in English. However, the food was very good and the evening entertainment very proffessional with with a packed audience every night. Reception staff were pleasant and enthusiastic making sure any minor problems were sorted out immediately. The hotel accomodation is set out in a number of blocks, some grouped arround a large pool area with 3 or 4 pools together and the rest with nice small pools in pleasant garden settings. However, as other reviews have warned, wine at the hotel is pretty expensive with a bottle of Vina Sol costing just over 18 euros and most others arround the 13 to 15 euro mark. Drinks elsewhere in the resort are not cheap either, with prices ranging from 5.5 to 7 euros for a gin and tonic !

Travelling with our 13 month daughter, this hotel was just what we needed. The hotel room was great, spacious enough for two double beds and a travel cot, plus a mini fridge, air conditioning and balcony. There are seven pools in total and plenty of sun loungers. they also had activities to entertain everyone. There were spinning classes, archery, waterpolo, water aerobics, bingo, diving, volleyball and more for the adults and two childrens clubs (one for 0-4 and one for 4 +). Evening entertainment is definately worth a look. The buffet style food was fantastic, every night was different although the drinks were quite pricey. The staff were all friendly, bringing our daughter things to play with and making her laugh. Plates were cleared quickly but you didn't feel like you were being hassled. There are two beaches in walking distance (5 mins) along with the harbour where you will find bars, restaurants, shops and kids play areas. There are plenty of bikes for hire if you want to explore the local surroundings (everthing is flat!) or there is a bus stop opposite the hotel that takes you to Citudella. We hired a car for the day to visit Son Bon beach and Mahon which cost around 40 Euros. I would definitely recommend this hotel and resort to anyone with kids.

We went for a short 5 day break and found the hotel superb. The view from the balcony was not very good due to some large trees outside the room but that was the only fault we could find. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful when needed. The restaurant was vast with a wide variety of food, however for people who only like plain food, some nights were a struggle. The waiters were very attentive and cleared the tables quickly. The resort is fantastic for people who like a variety of bars and restaurants but no banging music and nightclubs. Bars are very friendly and welcoming and offer fun entertainment. There are plenty of things to do including hiring bikes, mountain and motor! We hired a boat which was fantastic and strongly recommended. When we were due to leave we had a night flight. The hotel offers either a late checkout; subject to availability, or they have a luggage room and the use of showers and towels which was great. Overall I strongly recommend the hotel and the resort.

We stayed at the Sol falco in September 2007 and overall had a fab holiday. Staff were very helpful and dealt with the few minor problems we had immediately. We arrived the night of a bad storm which flooded the hotel lobby (sounds bad but didn't feel they could be blamed) yet they had everything clean and dry by morning. Rooms were fine and included a mini-fridge and air-conditioning. Maids cleaned daily and replaced towels as needed. The pool area was lovely, particularly the smaller pools which were often really quiet. We also had no problem getting sunbeds which was a first Food was nice with plenty of choice although very meat based. Typical menu included chicken, fish, paella, potatoes, chips, salad, veg, cheeses etc. Breakfasts were also good with everything you could possibly want offered. Only problem is that the buffet style restaurant can be a little chaotic at times. The resort itself is nice, with plenty of good restaurants and a few bars. Ideal for families although maybe a little quiet for those with teenagers. We would definitely return here.

picked a car up from the airport, this can take some time up,we had a new Ford Focus. It was a easy to get from the airport to our hotel. The Hotel was very clean,a nice big room, eveything that you require. If you hire a car, makesure that you get petrol from the airport area, very scarce near our Hotel. The resort very nice, not much of a night life, but having a car let you see more of the island.
