Decent accommodation, good facilities, pleasant helpful staff, rooms cleaned regularly. 2 minutes walk to Contiente shopping centre and not far from the Old Town and far away enough from the Strip. We stayed in Brisa Sol a few years ago and would have to say I think the Brisa Sol is a cut above this overall even though it's graded the same 4 stars. That's my own personal opinion. The Solaqua is more than adequate and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. Lovely swimming pool though get up early if you want a sun bed. Location is very good - nice and quiet. Beds are comfortable though kitchen facilities could do with things / utensils being added. We are a family with 2 children aged 12 & 9 and the boys loved it. Food and drinks are very good and the staff are just brilliant. Watched a few Premier League football games too which was a bonus. One very minor rant -: The TV in the rooms are as big as an iPad.
The best thing about my stay was...Air conditioning in the room. Bliss after a day in the sun

Good location, Friendly Staff
We were very pleased with our apartment (pool view) and found it really spacious. The staff were excellent in reception, the bar (especially Pedro) and the housekeeping staff were top class. Room was cleaned to a very high standard and beds made every day and everything was perfect. When we arrived (early) reception staff went to a good deal of trouble to get room available as quickly as possible. Only downside is that hotel accepts groups of young people which lead to us making a complaint about noise. Also, no lifeguard at the pool which meant that the area became boisterous at times. Even though the hotel had a no towels reserving sunbeds policy, this was not implemented.
The best thing about my stay was...Pool, accommodation and staff

Spotlessly clean, excellent location, internet an issue
Solaqua is situated just one block behind the main road across from McDonalds and KFC for those who know the area. 24 hour reception staff are very professional but tend to instruct you rather than talk to you, perhaps just their manner. Apartments are large and spacious with comfortable beds. 15 euros to hire a safety deposit box per week and 15 deposit so a bit expensive. Pool area is located one floor down and is large and spacious with lots of sunbeds and nice bar area up from pool. All areas are spotlessly clean and are cleaned on an ongoing basis which is impressive. Bar food is very nice for lunch buts stops serving at 8 so is not really aimed at evening meals, more like snacks. Happy hour 5-7 where all pints are 2 Euro which is excellent value while pints are just 3 Euro otherwise which is good. Pedro serving at the bar is excellent and one of the other girls but one or two others are not very pleasant and groan or make a face if you happen to ask for certain things. They sometimes got the orders wrong (not Pedro) and then stormed off with the wrong order as if it was your fault. Now, the internet......it costs 20 per week for reception and pool wifi only....not in rooms which is very expensive and is not fast. There is also a computer in teception with internet at 4 per hour but this is so slow you could not use it and kept breaking down so couldn't even print boarding cards...we had to get it done at reception eventually after wasting half hour trying to do it on computer as had been instructed to do so. 3G is now working abroad but is dependent on area and worked intermittently at this hotel for me. Hotel did remove many towels from sunbeds the first week from people who had put them on beds and then went away back to their room for hours...this was excellent and the first time I have ever seen it done...there was no issue if you were there with a few beds for family but if you put towels on beds and then disappeared for hours, they were removed which was great. However this stopped for our second week but there were generally beds available up to 10am which was good. The hotel is situated half way between the old and new towns so you can go to either in 15 minute walk or get taxi for 5 Euro. All in all Solaqua was clean, spacious, great location - perhaps staff needs to be less abrupt in their manner and pool bar staff less sulky (Pedro excepted). Also major supermarket across the road which literally sells everything from fresh bakery to fruit to sun creams to newspapers so very convenient. Please get full good wifi for all areas including rooms.
The best thing about my stay was...Pool / location / apartments (not wifi)

I am just back from the wonderful "Solaqua" this was our third year in a row...and we will be back next year...if you are looking for somewere quite, relaxing, peaceful,Solaqua ticks all the boxes...10 minutes walk from old town ,there is a shopping center for all your needs 1 minute from the hotel..the receptionists were great as usual , especially CIDALINA..I think this is her name,(It begins with the letter "C" she has been there the 3 years we have been going) .I cannot speak highly enough about this place..I wish Solaqua all the best for the future.

Best apartments ever !
Kathleen King, Ireland
The nicest, cleanest apartments ever on holidays and we holiday every year to the sun. Would really recommend Solaqua especially for families with children. They catered so well for children. Brilliant helpful staff. I had a problem with my check in for my return journey and the lovely girl at the desk was so helpful to me, I didn't get her name but I'm sure she will remember the day. I want to thank her so much. Great apartments, lovely bar food, just everything. The only thing I would say is having to pay €20 a head for internet I thought was a bit too much. It wouldn't effect me too much as I literally turn off my phone on holidays, but think its too expensive for families. Apart from that no complaints.
The best thing about my stay was...Class. spacious apartments.
