Telemachos experience

We spent a week and must say the only thing we enjoyed was the food. We arrived late and went to bed hungry. As we booked all inclusive, one would expect the hotel to make provision for late arrivals. If you want to be thrown out if you express your feelings, if you want your room to be searched and your money stolen while you are out and when you report to the managers and been laughed at, if you want to be dictated to what and how to drink your alcohol like a 10 year old and if you thing your blood is ripe enough for mosquitos to feast on, then, telemachos hotel is the hotel to be!! The workers are unfriendly.

Best Value for money. Big Room. Very Good Food

It was my third (!) time at this hotel (this time with another family) and I had a better experiance than all others times. The hotel is going better and better than the previous time. Big Room with view in the swimming pool , Very Good and Tasty Food. The room is cleanning every day. The same and the swimming pool. People were very kind and always very helpful. I already recommended to my friends and of course I will stay again.

Fawlty Towers but worse - going 'cheap' was not worth the cost saving on this occasion

Good grief, where to start... The only flights that seem to land on the island arrive early in the morning and those that leave do so late at night. So how is there any excuse for making you wait in the hot, stuffy, non-air-conditioned 'lounge' in which you may not open the windows for three hours whilst awaiting your room to be ready? Not even an offer of a drink, nor the ability to obtain the Wi-Fi code until after you have checked in. Once issued with a room, I wonder if I might be so bold as to ask for a remote control for the aircon as had everyone else in the queue. And yet strangely my room does not come with this equipment: would I like to ask the following day for a room change? So the ability to jump in the shower once the room is ready is hotly awaited, literally. How disappointing therefore to be taken to a room in the basement with a prison-cell-high window (no balcony here!) and a bathroom from the 70s (which was probably the last time it was cleaned too). I was not bothered by the lack of shower curtain since the tiny tray would have meant this getting in the way when showering but with an un-close-able bathroom door and the lack of working curtains in the room (more on this in a bit) meant there was no dignity in showering. I was saved from the water going everywhere by the head's delivery of only a dribble of water at the best of times, yet fortunately I had had the presence of mind to move the solitary loo roll out of the room first. Slightly alarming was the electrical wire that hung down in the shower corner which prompted me to think carefully about writing a will, although after having paid for a Wi-Fi code and a bottle of water, I didn't have much money to leave to anyone anyway. So the window... The bottom of this is at head-height for me (I'm 6'2) and comes at ground level on the outside - remember I am in the basement. So the joyful noise of adults and children walking past my room on their way to the pool (or maybe 'pond' would be more accurate based on the colour of the water and organic floaty-things in it) fills the room. Although not as loud as the hour-long argument the family from Birmingham had on Wednesday about a misbehaving child right outside my window. Or perhaps (and I am saying this through gritted-teeth) the noise of the aircon units either side of the window supplying cool air to both rooms either side of mine! At least I can shut myself away with closed curtains. Oh no wait, I can't even do that because they do not come together on their tracks. I am still a young man but not blessed with good looks, and in the heat did not want to lie down fully clothed to retain my dignity when passers-by look in, so I had to find some method of attaching the curtains together to retain my privacy. Surely I should not be having to do DIY on holiday?! I swerved dinner that night having received a warning from another guest on their way out of the dining room about the whiteness of all the pasta/rice/chicken/lettuce being served. Day two and no alternative room is available so I am stuck in this hole. Day three and a gentle enquiry as to whether anyone might deign to service the room, even so I might get a fresh towel and a new loo roll (the request is acknowledged and confirmed but never acted upon). Several hours of the ensuing days are spent away from the hotel, partly because of its unwelcoming and unpleasant nature but partly because of its situation up a steep hill at the outer edges of Dassia (or Beirut-cum-Chernobyl) means repeated returns to the place during the week are best swerved if possible. So by Thursday, the night of which I am due to depart, I am then offered a change of room to one with air-con: I decline as this has come a little late. Then the maid knocks on to offer room service - what a cheek! Fortunately her grasp of English was not good enough to understand the anger with which I suggested that offering the first fresh towel and sheet on the last day of a holiday plus my need to buy my own replacement toilet roll was not good enough in any hotel. She walked away mid-rant. To top things off, the transfer had been booked by the hotel to coincide with my booking and not with my flight and when I dared to suggest this be corrected, I was told I must be mistaken with my flight details! Admittedly this lady was German so I can forgive her direct attitude. But being asked if I wanted to change my transfer just caused me to laugh. I suspect the nuance of my question back to them as to whether they thought I should take my flight and then return the day after for my transfer, fell on deaf ears. Nonetheless this got sorted and I braved a meal in the hotel. In talking to my other friends dotted around the island this week, I know I paid about a quarter of the price they paid elsewhere and I can see why. Sometimes going cheap is not the best way forward. I'm not even convinced the island made up for it.

do not choose this hotel

Rooms not cleaned, the food very poor service no respect for the guests especially the manager and the barman (bulgar), which serves free drinks only his whores. Free drinks are so horrible that no one wants their drink. You can not order a vodka itself. For dinner only tap water (I saw how he poured). Do not believe the good opinion, because it is the staff of this hotel or these hoes they write what they drink at the bar with the Bulgar (I found out from local people). My children have been bitten by fleas. For everything you need to pay. I felt like an intruder. It was not easy, it was a Stressed Time.

Great time at the Telemachos hotel

As a family of 4, we had a good experience with the hotel. For the price we paid, we had good food, fine accomodation. The music around the swimming pool stop at 18.00 so there is no noise during the evening. The pros were : - Excellent swimming pool for family - Central location on the island which give a quick access to the mountain or the west which is the nicest area to my opinion. - Beach is 10 minute walk, and there are pharmacy, shop, car rental nearby. - I recommend the excellent, very friendly, and budget restaurant la CASA on the main road. The cons are : - No WIFI, but you can get it in bars around. - room service is sometime not the best - we had one bed forgotten during our stay I recommend it, that is the best ratio quality / price !

Great view

All was good and as expected for a two star hotel. A bit confusion in the beginning for a discount voucher, but solved fairly quickly. We had a good dancing night, and rooms were ok. Only small problem with rooms was heating, but if you ask for the control for a/c you are fine. Good time in general. Nice hotel. Lovely view. People were kind and always helpful.

The best thing about my stay was...

The view from our room was quite amazing.
