Great location shame about the rooms
The best thing about the hotel is the location. The staff were friendly enough but the hotel itself is so out of date and in need of an overall. Our first room allocation smelt so foisty we had to be moved, the second wasn't much better. Air con rattled and was so noisy, paint was peeling from walls, bedding had seen better days. The fridge was so noisy I had to turn it off on a night but when I turned it back up it didn't get cold anyway....all in all it needs modernising

Positives - Great Location, we could walk to Universal Studies in 20 mins. There was also a Iride trolley stop directly outside the hotel & Wet & Wild just across the road. There is also a very good restaurant attached to the hotel which services good food & a friendly service. Negatives - The maid service was generally quite poor, on several occasions we would arrive back at the room from a long day in the park & there would be no towels. We would have to ask for them or the maid would appear later in the evening with them. They also seemed not to want to leave you with any toilet rolls or soap. On at least 2 occasions that we are aware of, our room door was not correctly closed after the maid had cleaned it. We seem to think this was her way of identifying that she needed to come back later with fresh towels. However from a security aspect it meant anyone could walk into the room & take what they wanted from it.
The best thing about my stay was...It was a convienent location to walk to Universal Studies

5th visit, going down the pan now!
Having stayed here 3 years ago I was disappointed this time and probably won't stay again. On arrival the gentleman on reception was very rude. The rooms weren't cleaned, just bins emptied. Beds were never made, bathroom not cleaned. It was much better as a 'Best Western' hotel. What a shame!!
The best thing about my stay was...Microwave and fridge in room

Getting dated - let down by a few lazy staff
Been going here for 10 years and sad to see the decline. In need of a facelift. The location is the best, so it's a shame that some poor housekeeping and reception staff let the place down. Seldom any pool towels, despite paying a $2.50 a night resort fee. Don't expect to get in to your room before 4pm, even if it's ready and you've travelled thousand of miles. The receptionist didn't even look up as she told us in no uncertain terms that check in was 4pm. Every day housekeeping took away our towels and never replaced them. So had to go ask every day. One night I was told it would be 2 hours. Seriously.....I come to my room at 6pm to shower and go for dinner then have to sit and wait 2 hours for towels. They need new hoovers and to fix all the broken machines in the laundry room. Loads of machines - only one or 2 work. Been like this since December 2013. So sorry to see the decline of what was our favorite hotel. I can put up with a bit tired, but not worn/torn and threadbare sheets and towels. Needs some serious cash spent to bring it back to its prime. All that said - Its cheap as chips and the room facilities are good so I am booked again for November - hoping that things will improve.
The best thing about my stay was...Location is excellent as is pool

Only needed a bed for 2 wks. Dont need a good hotel when theres so much to do outside. The room was fine the staff were nice.Didnt use any of the facilities in the hotel. The only thing that bothered us was the smell in the halls and lifts, for that we will not return, apart from that great location.

Value for money
Sue dublin , Dublin
This hotel is value for money. Staff are extremely friendly. Rooms cleaned everyday and fresh towels supplied. All rooms come with free wifi microwave and fridge which is an added bonus. Rooms are large and bathrooms clean. Pool area supplied with towels. Was never too busy which was nice. The pool is heated which is great for all nothing worse then getting into cold water.
The best thing about my stay was...Will say here again enjoyed all no complaints

Liam Bedford, dublin
We stayed here for over 2 weeks October 2012 the service was excellent the staff were terrific friendly and very helpful. The room was huge and spotless cleaned every day. we had flatscreen tv fridge microwave could not ask for more. The hotel is well situated at wet and wild lots of resturants around it to cater for all tastes. We have been to other hotels here over the last few years this is by far the best Liam & Bernie
The best thing about my stay was...the overall experience was great

wouldn't stay here again
carolyn maloney, liverpool
as soon as we walked in the door there was a horrible musty/damp smell. it was the same in the bedroom where we had to spray the room with our deodorant to get rid of the smell! couldnt sleep at all! pillows are like flattened square scatter cushions, so when the maid made the bed, she had to tuck the rest of the pillowcase in. i asked her for extra pillows but she couldnt speak a word of english! maid kept forgetting to leave me teabags and the hotel didnt have a shop or any other tea or coffee making facilities. on a plus side, clean sheets and towels everyday.
The best thing about my stay was...price ( but remember, you get what you pay for!) location - directly opposite wet and wild.

When we arived the receptionist was very friendly & helpful she explained everything fully, we had asked for adjoining rooms & were given them, the $2.50 per day resort fee covered the safe rental free wifi in the room we have previously paid extra for the safe in other hotels & free local phone calls from the room. The rooms were clean & well decorated with aircon & de-humidifier, tea & coffee, soap & shampoo replenished every day, the maid was efficent & our room was cleaned properly every day, clean towells when we wanted & the bedding was changed at least 4 times during our stay of 18 days, our rooms faced the major road but there was no noise, The pool was clean if a little small & could do with a bit of tlc there were always pool towells available. There were ice machines on every floor no charge, & a very efficent laundry room chargable. Things to bear in mind when booking this hotel are that this is not the ritz but a mid to budget hotel a bit better than a travel lodge or premier inn & good value for the money, the staff were all very helpful & polite I cannot fault them. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will return
The best thing about my stay was...The staff & service we were given was exceptional
